De-icing the rear screen and
mirrors
W h e n t h e e n g i n e i s r u n n i n g ,
pressing this button de-ices
the rear screen and exterior
mirrors.
I t s w i t c h e s o f f a u t o m a t i c a l l y , a f t e r a p -
p r o x i m a t e l y t w e l v e m i n u t e s , t o p r e -
vent an excessive consumption of
current. Pressing the button again re-
s t a r t s o p e r a t i o n f o r t w e l v e m i n u t e s .
It is possible to stop the operation of
t h e d e - i c i n g b e f o r e i t i s s w i t c h e d o f f
automatically by pressing the button
again.
S w i t c h o f f t h e d e - i c i n g a s s o o n a s
y o u c o n s i d e r t h i s n e c e s s a r y a s l o w
current consumption reduces fuel
consumption. Manual demisting
T o q u i c k l y d e m i s t t h e w i n d s c r e e n a n d
s i d e w i n d o w s :
- s w i t c h o n t h e a i r c o n d i t i o n i n g ,
- place the temperature and air
l o w c o n t r o l s i n t h e m a x i m u m
p o s i t i o n ,
- c l o s e t h e c e n t r a l v e n t s ,
- place the exterior air intake c o n t r o l o n t h e l e f t , i n t h e
"Exterior Air" position. Automatic demisting,
visibility programme
I n s o m e c a s e s , t h e A U T O p r o g r a m m e
m a y n o t b e s u f i c i e n t t o d e m i s t t h e
w i n d s c r e e n a n d s i d e w i n d o w s ( h u

Select the "visibility" demisting pro-
gramme by pressing this button to
c l e a r t h e w i n d o w s q u i c k l y .
To exit from this programme and re-
t u r n t o t h e A U T O p r o g r a m m e , p r e s s
the AUTO button.

W h e n y o u l e a v e y o u r v e h i c l e , t h e
side lights and dipped headlamps
can be left on for approximately
30 seconds.
To do this:
- place the key in the STOP
p o s i t i o n ,
- place the lights stalk in the 0 p o s i t i o n ,
- l a s h t h e h e a d l a m p s ,
- get out of the vehicle and lock it.AUTOMATIC SWITCHING ON
OF LIGHTS
The side lights and dipped beam

In foggy weather or in snow, the
brightness sensor can detect suf-
i c i e n t l i g h t , t h e l i g h t s w i l l n o t
come on automatically. If neces-
sary, the dipped headlamps must
be switched on manually.
T h i s f u n c t i o n i s a c t i v e w h e n t h e v e -
hicle is supplied to the customer.
To disarm or activate the function:
- Place the key in the accessories p o s i t i o n ( 1 s t n o t c h ) ,
- Place the lights stalk in the AUTO/0 p o s i t i o n ,
- Press the end of the lights stalk for more than four seconds.
Do not cover the brightness sen-
sor, coupled with the rain sensor,
located in the centre of the wind-
screen, behind the interior mirror.
It is used for automatic switching
on of the lights. Operating check

b o t h d a y a n d n i g h t , t h e
front fog lamps and the
rear fog lamp are dazzling
and are prohibited.

In the AUTO p o s i t i o n , t h e w i n d s c r e e n
w i p e r s o p e r a t e a u t o m a t i c a l l y a n d
adapt their speed to the intensity
of the rainfall . Do not cover the rain sen-
s o r l o c a t e d o n t h e w i n d

screen behind the interior
mirror.
When using an automatic car
w a s h , s w i t c h o f f t h e i g n i t i o n o r
c h e c k t h a t t h e w i p e r s t a l k i s n o t i n
the AUTO position.
I n w i n t e r , i t i s a d v i s a b l e t o w a i t
f o r t h e w i n d s c r e e n t o c o m p l e t e l y
clear of ice before operating the

Activation
Activation of the function is accom-

In the event of malfunction,

driver is informed by an audible sig-
nal.
In the AUTO p o s i t i o n , t h e w i n d -
s c r e e n w i p e r w i l l o p e r a t e i n i n t e r m i t -
tent mode.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer to have
the system checked. Automatic rear screen wiper
W h e n t h e w i n d s c r e e n w i p e r s c o n t r o l
is activated and you engage reverse
g e a r , t h e r e a r s c r e e n w i p e r o p e r a t e s
intermittently.
Note:
i f y o u u s e a b i c y c l e c a r r i e r ,

this function deactivated or install a
s p e c i i c b i c y c l e c a r r i e r a p p r o v e d b y

T o c h a n g e f r o m o n e t o t h e o t h e r ,
p u s h o r p u l l t h e l e v e r o n t h e l o w e r
edge of the mirror. Manual exterior mirrors
Move the lever in all four directions
to adjust.
W h e n t h e v e h i c l e i s p a r k e d , t h e e x

terior mirrors can be folded back
manually. Electric exterior mirrors
Turn knob
1 to the right or to the left
to select the corresponding mirror.
Move knob 1 in all four directions to
adjust.
Objects observed in the
driver’s and passenger’s
mirrors are in reality closer
than they appear. This must be taken into account to
judge correctly the distance of ve-
hicles approaching from behind.
