Programming
Turn dial 1 to the "LIMIT" position:
the speed limiter mode is selected
but is not switched on (OFF).
Exceeding the programmed speed
Pressing the accelerator pedal to exceed the programmed
speed will not have any effect unless you press the pedal
fi r m l y past the point of resistance .
The speed limiter is deactivated temporarily and the pro-
g r a m m e d s p e e d , w h i c h i s s t i l l d i s p l a y e d , fl a s h e s .
Returning to the programmed speed, by means of int entional
or unintentional deceleration of the vehicle, automaticall y
c a n c e l s t h e fl a s h i n g o f t h e p r o g r a m m e d s p e e d . Return to normal driving
Turn dial 1 to the "0" position: the
speed limiter mode is deselected.
The display returns to the distance
recorder.
You do not have to switch the speed
limiter on in order to set the speed.
Switch the speed limiter off by pressing button 4 : the dis-
p l a y c o n fi r m s t h a t i t h a s b e e n s w i t c h e d o f f ( O F F ) .
Switch the speed limiter back on by pressing button 4
again.
Set the speed value by pressing button 2 or 3 (e.g.:
55 mph (90 km/h)).
You can then change the programmed speed using buttons
2 and 3 :
- by + or - 1 mph (km/h) = short press,
- by + or - 5 mph (km/h) = long press,
- in steps of + or - 5 mph (km/h) = maintained press.
Switch the speed limiter on by pressing button 4 . Operating fault
In the event of a speed limiter malfunc-
tion, the speed is cleared resulting in
fl a s h i n g o f t h e d a s h e s .
Have the system checked by a PEUGEOT
dealer.
On a steep descent or in the event
of sharp acceleration, the speed
limiter will not be able to prevent
the vehicle from exceeding the pro-
grammed speed.
To avoid any risk of jamming of the
pedals:
- ensure that the mat is posi-tioned correctly,
- d o n o t fi t o n e m a t o n t o p o f a n - other.

ECONOMY MODE FUNCTION
After the engine has stopped, with the
key in the accessories position, cer-
tain functions (windscreen wiper, cour-
tesy lights, audio equipment, dipped
headlamps, etc.) can only be used for
a maximum cumulative duration of ap-
p r o x i m a t e l y fi f t e e n m i n u t e s , t o p r e v e n t
discharging of the battery.
O n c e t h e fi f t e e n m i n u t e s a r e o v e r , t h e
message "Economy mode active" ap-
pears on the multifunction display and
the active functions are put on standby.
These functions will be reactivated au-
tomatically the next time the vehicle is
used.
To resume the use of these functions
immediately, start the engine and let it
run for a few minutes.
The time available will then be double
the time for which the engine is left run-
ning. However, this time will always be
b e t w e e n fi v e a n d fi f t e e n m i n u t e s .
A fl a t b a t t e r y w i l l p r e v e n t t h e e n -
gine from starting.
TOWING THE VEHICLE
Procedure for having your vehicle towed.
Towing your vehicle
On the front bumper, unclip the cover A
to gain access to the towing eye.
Switch on the hazard warning lights
on the towed vehicle.
Place the gear lever in neutral. Towing another vehicle

To do this, press the
"RDS" button for
more than two seconds to switch the
function on or off.

N o t e : t h e v o l u m e o f t h e t r a f fi c i n f o r -
mation is independent of the volume
of normal radio listening. You can
adjust it using the volume button.
The setting will be stored and will be
used for subsequent messages.
Search by type of programme (PTY)
T h i s a l l o w s y o u t o l i s t e n t o s t a t i o n s b r o a d -
c a s t i n g a s p e c i fi c t y p e o f p r o g r a m m e
(News, Culture, Sport, Rock...). When FM is selected,
press the "TA" button for
more than two seconds
to switch the function on
or off. To search for a
PTY p r o g r a m m e :

- p r e s s b u t t o n J or L b r i e fl y t o s c r o l l
d o w n t h e l i s t o f t h e d i f f e r e n t t y p e s o f
programme offered,

an automatic search (following an
automatic search, the PTY function
is switched off).
In PTY m o d e , t h e t y p e s o f p r o g r a m m e
can be stored. To do this, press the
preselection buttons "1" to "6" for more
t h a n t w o s e c o n d s . P r e s s t h e c o r r e -
s p o n d i n g b u t t o n b r i e fl y t o r e c a l l t h e t y p e
of programme stored.
EON system
T h i s s y s t e m c o n n e c t s s t a t i o n s w h i c h
are part of the same network. It permits
the broadcasting of TA t r a f fi c i n f o r m a -
tion or of a PTY programme broadcast
b y a s t a t i o n w h i c h i s p a r t o f t h e s a m e
n e t w o r k a s t h e s t a t i o n t o w h i c h y o u a r e
listening.
