FAMILIARISATION12 -
REAR BENCH SEAT
To fold down the rear bench seat:
- Lift the front of the seat 1 ,
- Tilt the seat 1 against the front
seats,
- Position the seat belt under the belt holder 2 ,
- Pull control 3 to unlock the seat
back 4 ,
- Remove or lower the head re- straint,
- Tilt the seat back 4 .

s e a t b a c k 4 ,
- remove or lower the head re- straints,

T o f o l d t h e b e n c h s e a t :
- lift the front of the seat cushion 1 ,
- tilt the seat cushion 1 against the
front seats, When repositioning:
- r e t u r n t h e s e a t b a c k t o t h e
upright position,
- f o l d b a c k t h e s e a t c u s h i o n ,
-
r e p o s i t i o n t h e b u c k l e s b e f o r e l o c k i n g
the front of the seat cushion.
A l w a y s s t a r t w i t h t h e s e a t , n e v e r
the seat back (risk of damage).
Take care not to trap the seat
belts.

Although one of PEUGEOT's main
criteria when designing your vehicle,
the safety of your children also de-
pends on you.
For maximum safety, please follow
these precautions:
- in accordance with Directive
2003/20, all children under the
age of 12 or less than one metre
fi f t y t a l l m u s t t r a v e l i n a p p r o v e d
c h i l d s e a t s s u i t e d t o t h e i r w e i g h t ,
o n s e a t s fi t t e d w i t h a s e a t b e l t o r
ISOFIX * mountings ,
- statistically, the safest seats in
your vehicle for the transpor-
tation of children are the rear
seats,
- a c h i l d w e i g h i n g l e s s t h a n 9 k g
m u s t t r a v e l i n t h e " r e a r w a r d s -
facing" position both in the
front and in the rear.
PEUGEOT recommends that chil-
dren should travel in the rear seats
of your vehicle:

age of 2,
- " f o r w a r d s - f a c i n g " over the age
of 2. " R e a r w a r d s - f a c i n g "
When a "rearwards-facing" child seat
is installed on the
front passenger
seat , it is essential that the passen-
