Front towing eye
TOWING YOUR VEHICLE
Never use the radiator
crossmember.
Special features of the automatic
gearbox
When towing with all four wheels on
the ground, the following rules must
be adhered to:
- gear lever in position N,
- tow the vehicle at a speed less than 30 mph (50 km/h) over
a distance of not more than
30 miles (50 km),
- do not add oil to the gearbox. Rear towing eye
From the front or the rear
Attach the tow bar to the towing eye.
By lifting (two wheels only on the
ground)
It is preferable to lift the vehicle by
the wheels.
Without lifting (four wheels on the
ground)
You must always use a tow bar.
VEHICLES FITTED WITH A
MANUAL GEARBOX
(diesel version)
In the case of vehicles itted with a
manual gearbox, the gear lever must
be in the "neutral" position. Failure to
observe this special condition may
result in damage to certain brak-
ing components and the absence of
braking assistance the next time the
engine is started.
