Access to the spare wheel and
the jack
T h e w h e e l i s l o c a t e d o u t s i d e t h e
v e h i c l e , u n d e r t h e b o o t , s u p p o r t e d b y
a metal carrier.
- R e m o v e t h e w h e e l b r a c e 1 ,
secured on the rear right inner
panel of the boot .
- U s i n g t h e w h e e l b r a c e 1 , s l a c k e n
t h e s p a r e w h e e l c a r r i e r r e t a i n i n g
b o l t , l o c a t e d inside the boot
under the carpet .
- Lift the carrier to release the h o o k r e a r w a r d s , t h e n l o w e r i t .
- Remove the jack storage box 2
l o c a t e d i n t h e s p a r e w h e e l .
CHANGING A WHEEL
Removing a wheel
- C h o c k t h e r e a r o f t h e w h e e l d i a g o n a l l y o p p o s i t e t h e w h e e l
t o b e c h a n g e d , u s i n g t h e j a c k
storage box.
- R e m o v e t h e w h e e l t r i m u s i n g t h e w h e e l b r a c e , b y p u l l i n g a t t h e
valve passage hole.
- S l a c k e n t h e w h e e l b o l t s .
- Place the jack under the locating point on the sub-frame E that
i s c l o s e s t t o t h e w h e e l t o b e
changed. Ensure that the entire
surface of the jack base plate is
i n c o n t a c t w i t h t h e g r o u n d .
- E x t e n d t h e j a c k , c o m p l e t e l y u n s c r e w t h e b o l t s a n d r e m o v e
t h e w h e e l .
Parking the vehicle
- I f p o s s i b l e , p a r k t h e v e h i c l e o n
l e v e l , s t a b l e a n d n o n - s l i p p e r y
ground.
- A p p l y t h e h a n d b r a k e , e n g a g e i r s t o r r e v e r s e g e a r ( p o s i t i o n P
for the automatic gearbox).

- o n l e v e l , s t a b l e a n d n o n s l i p p e r y g r o u n d ,
- w i t h t h e h a n d b r a k e a p p l i e d ,
- w i t h i r s t o r r e v e r s e g e a r e n g a g e d ,
- w i t h t h e v e h i c l e c h o c k e d u s i n g t h e j a c k s t o r a g e b o x ,
- never go underneath a vehicle raised using a jack (use an axle stand).
After changing the wheel
- Have the tightening of the bolts and the pressure of the spare tyre checked as soon as possible by a PEUGEOT dealer.
- Have the punctured tyre repaired and replace it on the vehicl e as soon as possible.
- T h e s p a c e - s a v e r s p a r e w h e e l m u s t o n l y b e u s e d temporarily:
- i n l a t i o n p r e s s u r e : 4 . 2 b a r s ( 6 0 p . s . i . ) ,
- maximum speed: 50 mph (80 km/h).

e r s d o n o t c o m e i n t o c o n t a c t w i t h t h e
r i m . T h e s p a r e w h e e l i s s e c u r e d b y
the cone shape of each bolt. Wheel anti-theft bolts
I f y o u r w h e e l s a r e i t t e d w i t h a n t i - t h e f t
b o l t s ( o n e p e r w h e e l ) , t h e c h r o m e -
plated trim cap and then the plastic
c o v e r o n t h e w h e e l m u s t b e r e m o v e d ,
using the
yellow tool (located in the
b o x i x e d t o t h e l e f t - h a n d s i d e o f t h e
b o o t ) , b e f o r e s l a c k e n i n g t h e b o l t u s -
ing the anti-theft socket (located in
t h e g l o v e b o x ) a n d t h e w h e e l b r a c e ,
located in the boot rear right inner
panel.
Note: take a careful note of the code
number engraved on the head of the
a n t i - t h e f t s o c k e t . T h i s w i l l e n a b l e y o u
to obtain a duplicate anti-theft socket
from a PEUGEOT dealer.
Fitting snow tyres
I f y o u i t s n o w t y r e s t h a t a r e m o u n t e d
o n s t e e l r i m s o n t o y o u r v e h i c l e , i t i s
essential
that you use special bolts
available from your PEUGEOT dealer.
Bolt covers
A l l o y w h e e l b o l t s a r e c o v e r e d b y
chrome trims.
U s e t h e y e l l o w t o o l 4 to remove the
trims before slackening the bolts.
Tool 4 is located on the rear right
inner panel of the boot. 95
