FAMILIARISATION
Retractable roof W h e n w a s h i n g y o u r v e h i c l e :

Preliminary conditions

Ensure that:

Precautions to be taken before
operating the roof

the operation of the roof:
- n o t h i n g s h o u l d b e p l a c e d o n t h e m o v i n g r e a r s h e l f 1 or on the
net 2 ,
- i f l u g g a g e i s b e i n g c a r r i e d i n t h e b o o t , i t m u s t n o t r a i s e t h e n e t ,
Ensure that the net 2 is secure.
Close the boot correctly.
Maintenance
C a r r y o u t a c o m p l e t e r o o f o p e r a -
tion at least once a month to keep
i t i n g o o d w o r k i n g o r d e r .

SUN VISOR
Component which protects against sunlight
from the front or the side, also equipped
with an illuminated courtesy mirror.
With the ignition on, raise the conceal-
i n g fl a p ; t h e m i r r o r i s l i t a u t o m a t i c a l l y .
This sun visor is also equipped with a
ticket holder. To avoid any risk of jamming of the
pedals:
- only use mats which are suited
t o t h e fi x i n g s a l r e a d y p r e s e n t i n
the vehicle; it is imperative that
these are used,
- n e v e r fi t o n e m a t o n t o p o f a n - other. Removable carpet protection. Refitting
T o r e fi t t h e m a t o n t h e d r i v e r ' s s i d e :
position the mat correctly,
r e fi t t h e fi x i n g s b y p r e s s i n g ,
check that the mat is secured correctly. Fitting
W h e n fi t t i n g t h e m a t f o r t h e fi r s t t i m e ,
o n t h e d r i v e r ' s s i d e u s e o n l y t h e fi x i n g s
provided in the wallet attached.
The other mats are simply placed on
the carpet.
Removal
T o r e m o v e t h e m a t o n t h e d r i v e r ' s s i d e :
move the seat as far back as possible,
u n c l i p t h e fi x i n g s ,
remove the mat.

Engage the shafts of the windstop
frame in the openings in the rear
side trim.
W h e n i n s t a l l i n g t h e w i n d s t o p f o r t h e fi r s t
time:
position a 10 mm open-ended span-
ner on the hexagonal part of the
shaft,
tighten or slacken without forcing on
each side to adjust the depth setting.
Lastly, always check that the windstop
is retained securely before using it in
t h e " c a b r i o l e t " c o n fi g u r a t i o n .
Removal
Press and pull on the shaft supports to
release the shafts from the openings in
the rear side trim.
It is not necessary to remove the
windstop when changing to the
" c o u p é " c o n fi g u r a t i o n .

Pull the windstop forwards to release
the guides from the points located be-
hind the rear seat belts.
Fold the windstop frame guides.
Fold the windstop closing the two
large parts on themselves.
Unclip each end individually.
Fold each of the two parts on them-
selves. Storing
Store the windstop folded in its pro-
tective case.
Use the strap intended to secure the
case on the right-hand side of the boot
( r e f e r t o t h e " B o o t fi t t i n g s " s e c t i o n ) .

BOOT
Opening
After unlocking the boot or the ve-
hicle using the remote control or the
key, pull the handle and raise the
boot lid.
Unlocking and partially opening
the boot
Press the boot unlocking
button on the remote control
for more than two seconds.
The boot opens slightly.
If a battery failure occurs, the boot
is locked. Contact a PEUGEOT
dealer. Boot anti-theft protection
The boot is designed to remain secure,
e v e n i n t h e " c a b r i o l e t " c o n fi g u r a t i o n .
So, when the vehicle is locked and the
roof is open, the boot cannot be un-
locked:
- by means of the interior door open-
ing control, when the key is not in
the ignition switch,
- by pressing the manual centralised control A , when the key is not in the
ignition switch.
- when the engine is running ,
this warning lamp comes on,
accompanied by a message
on the multifunction screen
for a few seconds,
- when the vehicle is moving (speed
above 6 mph (10 km/h)), this warn-
ing lamp comes on, accompanied
by an audible signal and a message
on the multifunction screen for a few
seconds.
Closing
Lower the boot lid using the interior
grab handle.
If the boot lid is not closed correctly: Automatic locking of the boot
I n t h e " c a b r i o l e t " c o n fi g u r a t i o n , w i t h
the vehicle locked, if you unlock the
boot by pressing the boot unlock-
ing button on the remote control,
it will lock automatically when you
close it again.
In this case, if you inadvertently
leave the key in the boot, press the
manual centralised control

mediately to unlock the boot and
retrieve the key.

should travel in these positions:
- "rearwards-facing" up to the
age of 2 on the front passenger
seat ,
- "forwards-facing" over the
age of 2 on the rear side seat .

GENERAL POINTS RELATING
TO CHILD SEATS
Although one of PEUGEOT's main cri-
teria when designing your vehicle, the
safety of your children also depends on
you.
For maximum safety, please follow
these recommendations:
- in accordance with European regu- lations, all children under the age

sition both in the front and in the

CHILD SEAT IN THE FRONT
"Forwards-facing"
When a "forwards-facing" child seat is
installed on the front passenger seat ,
adjust the vehicle's seat to the interme-
diate longitudinal position with the seat
back upright and leave the passenger
airbag activated.
"Rearwards-facing"
When a "rearwards-facing" child seat is
installed on the
front passenger seat ,
it is essential that the passenger air bag
is deactivated. Otherwise, the child
w o u l d r i s k b e i n g s e r i o u s l y i n j u r e d o r
k i l l e d i f t h e a i r b a g w e r e t o i n fl a t e .
Intermediate longitudinal position

The incorrect installation of a child
seat in a vehicle compromises the
child's protection in the event of an
accident.
Remember to fasten the seat belts
or the child seat harnesses keeping
the slack in relation to the child’s
body to a minimum , even for short
journeys.
To install a child seat with the seat
belt, check that the belt has tight-
ened on the child seat and that the
c h i l d s e a t i s h e l d fi r m l y a g a i n s t t h e
vehicle's seat.
For optimum installation of the "for-
ward facing" child seat, ensure that
the back of the child seat is in con-
tact with the back of the vehicle's
seat and that the head restraint
does not cause any discomfort.
I f t h e h e a d r e s t r a i n t h a s t o b e r e -
moved, ensure that it is stored or
attached securely to prevent it from
being thrown around the vehicle in
the event of sharp braking. Installing a booster seat
The chest part of the seat belt must be
positioned on the child's shoulder with-
out touching the neck.
Ensure that the lap part of the seat belt
passes correctly over the child's thighs.
PEUGEOT recommends the use of a
b o o s t e r s e a t w h i c h h a s a b a c k , fi t t e d
with a seat belt guide at shoulder level. As a safety precaution, do not leave:
- one or more children alone and
unsupervised in a vehicle,
- a child or an animal in a vehicle which is exposed to the sun, with
the windows closed,
- the keys within reach of children inside the vehicle.
C h i l d r e n u n d e r t h e a g e o f 1 0 m u s t n o t
travel in the "forward facing" position
on the front passenger seat, unless the
rear seats are already occupied by other
children, cannot be used or are absent.
Deactivate the passenger airbag when
a "rear facing" child seat is installed
on the front seat. Otherwise, the child
would risk being seriously injured or
k i l l e d i f t h e a i r b a g w e r e t o i n fl a t e .
