m e s s a g e o n t h e m u l t i f u n c t i o n d i s p l a y .
W i t h t h e e n g i n e r u n n i n g , p r e s s t h e
b r a k e p e d a l .
Release the handbrake.
S e l e c t p o s i t i o n R , D or M ,
G r a d u a l l y r e l e a s e t h e b r a k e p e d a l .
The vehicle moves off immediately.
I f p o s i t i o n N i s e n g a g e d i n a d v e r t -
e n t l y w h i l e d r i v i n g , a l l o w t h e e n g i n e
t o r e t u r n t o i d l e t h e n e n g a g e p o s i -
tion D to accelerate. T h e g e a r b o x t h e n o p e r a t e s i n a u t o -
a d a p t i v e m o d e , w i t h o u t a n y i n t e r v e n t i o n
o n t h e p a r t o f t h e d r i v e r . I t c o n t i n u o u s l y
s e l e c t s t h e m o s t s u i t a b l e g e a r a c c o r d -
i n g t o t h e s t y l e o f d r i v i n g , t h e p r o i l e o f
the road and the load in the vehicle.
F o r m a x i m u m a c c e l e r a t i o n w i t h o u t
t o u c h i n g t h e l e v e r , p r e s s t h e a c c e l e r a -
t o r p e d a l d o w n f u l l y ( k i c k d o w n ) . T h e
g e a r b o x c h a n g e s d o w n a u t o m a t i c a l l y
or maintains the gear selected until the
m a x i m u m e n g i n e s p e e d i s r e a c h e d .
O n b r a k i n g , t h e g e a r b o x c h a n g e s d o w n
a u t o m a t i c a l l y t o p r o v i d e e f i c i e n t e n g i n e
braking.
I f y o u r e l e a s e t h e a c c e l e r a t o r s h a r p l y ,
t h e g e a r b o x w i l l n o t c h a n g e t o a h i g h e r
gear for safety reasons.
