Preliminary conditions
S w i t c h o n t h e i g n i t i o n .
Ensure that:
- the vehicle is not in energy econo- m y m o d e ( r e f e r t o t h e c o r r e s p o n d -
i n g s e c t i o n ) ,
- t h e b a t t e r y v o l t a g e i s s u f fi c i e n t ( s w i t c h i n g o n o f t h e i n d i c a t o r l a m p
o n t h e r o o f c o n t r o l ) ,
- t h e r o o f f u s e i s i n g o o d c o n d i t i o n ( r e - f e r t o t h e c o r r e s p o n d i n g s e c t i o n ) ,
- t h e e l e c t r i c w i n d o w s a r e i n i t i a l i s e d ( r e f e r t o t h e c o r r e s p o n d i n g s e c t i o n ) ,
- the ambient temperature is above -15 °C.
Precautions to be taken before
operating the roof

the operation of the roof:
- n o t h i n g s h o u l d b e p l a c e d o n t h e moving rear shelf 1 or on the net 2 .
- i f l u g g a g e i s b e i n g c a r r i e d i n t h e b o o t , i t m u s t n o t r a i s e t h e n e t ,
Ensure that the net 2 is secure.
Close the boot correctly.
Maintenance
Carry out a complete opening
a n d c l o s i n g o p e r a t i o n o f t h e r o o f
at least once a month to keep it in
g o o d w o r k i n g o r d e r .

g e r p r e s e n t , c o m p l e t e t h e r e q u i r e d
operation.
If the operation has not completely
fi n i s h e d , y o u w i l l b e w a r n e d b y a n
a u d i b l e s i g n a l a n d a m e s s a g e o n
the multifunction screen. These
w i l l b e r e p e a t e d a s t h e v e h i c l e
p a s s e s a n u m b e r o f s p e e d t h r e s h -
o l d s . Changing to "cabriolet"
c o n fi g u r a t i o n :
- t h e f o u r w i n d o w s l o w e r ,
- t h e b o o t o p e n s ,
- t h e r o o f f o l d s i n t o t h e b o o t ,
- the boot closes.
If you continue to pull or press this
c o n t r o l a f t e r t h e e n d o f t h e o p e r a -
t i o n , t h e f o u r w i n d o w s r i s e .
T h e e l e c t r i c w i n d o w c o n t r o l s a n d
t h e c o n t r o l f o r t h e f o u r w i n d o w s
a r e d e a c t i v a t e d d u r i n g o p e r a t i o n
of the roof.
The roof electronic control unit may
interrupt the operation in progress
a s a p r e c a u t i o n ( f o r e x a m p l e : d o o r
m o v e m e n t a n d r o o f o p e r a t i o n i n
q u i c k s u c c e s s i o n ) . I n t h i s c a s e ,
release the control then operate
i t a g a i n t o c o m p l e t e t h e r e q u i r e d
operation.
Operating fault
I f a m a l f u n c t i o n o f t h e r o o f o c c u r s ,
a p p l y t h e p a r k i n g b r a k e , s w i t c h
o f f t h e i g n i t i o n , r e s t a r t t h e e n g i n e ,
t h e n s t a r t t h e r e q u i r e d o p e r a t i o n
again.
I f t h e p r o b l e m p e r s i s t s , c o n t a c t a
P E U G E O T d e a l e r . C h a n g i n g t o " c o u p é " c o n fi g u r a t i o n :
- t h e f o u r w i n d o w s l o w e r ,
- t h e b o o t o p e n s ,
- t h e r o o f o p e n s o u t a n d l o c k s a u t o -
m a t i c a l l y ,
- the boot closes.

5. Air conditioning On/Off The air conditioning is de-
signed to operate effectively in
all seasons, with the windows
closed. The control button is located on
the heating or air conditioning
system control panel. REAR SCREEN DEMIST/
DEFROST
Switch off the demist/defrost of
the rear screen and door mir-
rors as soon as it is no longer
needed as lower current con-
sumption results in reduced
fuel consumption.
If the engine is switched off before the
demist/defrost is switched off auto-
matically, demist/defrost will resume
next time the engine is switched on.
The demist/defrost is deactivated
when the retractable roof is stored in
the boot.
S w i t c h i n g o n
The rear screen demist/defrost can only
operate when the engine is running.
Press this button to demist/defrost
the rear screen and the exterior mir-
rors. The indicator lamp associated
with the button comes on.
S w i t c h i n g o f f
The demist/defrost switches off auto-
matically to prevent an excessive con-
sumption of current.
It is possible to stop the demist/de-
frost operation before it is switched
off automatically by pressing the but-
ton again. The indicator lamp associ-
ated with the button switches off.
It enables you to:
- lower the temperature, in summer,
- increase the effectiveness of the
demisting, in winter above 0 °C.
S w i t c h i n g o n
Press the "A/C" button, the associ-
ated indicator lamp comes on.

in position "0".

Press the "A/C" button again, the as-
sociated indicator lamp switches off.

signed to operate effectively in

Load space cover net
When it has been removed and folded,
the windstop should be stored in its pro-
tective case.
This case can be stored by means of a
strap on the right-hand side of the boot.
Windstop storage case
When the load space cover net is
in place, the following conditions
must be observed:
- the luggage must not raise the cover net,
- luggage must not be placed on top of the cover net.
The load space cover net must
always be in place before a roof
opening operation is started (refer
t o t h e " F a m i l i a r i s a t i o n - § O p e n i n g "
section). For installation of the windstop, re-
f e r t o t h e f o l l o w i n g p a g e s " F i t t i n g /
r e m o v i n g t h e w i n d s t o p " .

BOOT
Opening
After unlocking the boot or the ve-
hicle using the remote control or the
key, pull the handle and raise the
boot lid.
Unlocking and partially opening
the boot
Press the boot unlocking
button on the remote control
for more than two seconds.
The boot opens slightly.
If a battery failure occurs, the boot
is locked. Contact a PEUGEOT
dealer. Boot anti-theft protection
The boot is designed to remain secure,
e v e n i n t h e " c a b r i o l e t " c o n fi g u r a t i o n .
So, when the vehicle is locked and the
roof is open, the boot cannot be un-
locked:
- by means of the interior door open-
ing control, when the key is not in
the ignition switch,
- by pressing the manual centralised control A , when the key is not in the
ignition switch.
- when the engine is running ,
this warning lamp comes on,
accompanied by a message
on the multifunction screen
for a few seconds,
- when the vehicle is moving (speed
above 6 mph (10 km/h)), this warn-
ing lamp comes on, accompanied
by an audible signal and a message
on the multifunction screen for a few
seconds.
Closing
Lower the boot lid using the interior
grab handle.
If the boot lid is not closed correctly: Automatic locking of the boot
I n t h e " c a b r i o l e t " c o n fi g u r a t i o n , w i t h
the vehicle locked, if you unlock the
boot by pressing the boot unlock-
ing button on the remote control,
it will lock automatically when you
close it again.
In this case, if you inadvertently
leave the key in the boot, press the
manual centralised control

mediately to unlock the boot and
retrieve the key.

Do not disconnect the terminals
while the engine is running.
Do not charge the batteries without
d i s c o n n e c t i n g t h e t e r m i n a l s fi r s t .
The batteries contain harmful sub-
stances such as sulphuric acid and
lead. They must be disposed of in
accordance with regulations and
must not, in any circumstances, be
discarded with household waste.
Take used remote control batteries
and vehicle batteries to a special
collection point.
Charging the battery using a
battery charger
Disconnect the battery from the vehicle.
Follow the instructions for use pro-
vided by the manufacturer of the
charger.
Reconnect starting with the nega-
t i v e t e r m i n a l ( - ) .
Check that the terminals and connec-
tors are clean. If they are covered with
s u l p h a t e ( w h i t i s h o r g r e e n i s h d e p o s i t ) ,
remove them and clean them.
It is advisable to disconnect the
battery if the vehicle is to be left
unused for more than one month. Before disconnecting the
battery
Wait 2 minutes after switching off
the ignition before disconnecting
the battery.
Close the windows, the retractable
roof and the doors before discon-
necting the battery.
Following reconnection of the
battery
Following reconnection of the bat-
tery, switch on the ignition and wait
1 minute before starting to permit
initialisation of the electronic sys-
tems. However, if problems remain
following this operation, contact a
PEUGEOT dealer.
Referring to the corresponding sec-
t i o n , y o u m u s t y o u r s e l f r e i n i t i a l i s e :
- the remote control key,
- the electric windows and the
automatic partial opening of the
door windows,
- the GPS satellite navigation system.
Disconnecting the cables
Reconnecting the cables
Position the open clip 1 of the cable
o n t h e p o s i t i v e t e r m i n a l ( + ) o f t h e
battery.
Press vertically on the clip 1 to posi-
tion it correctly against the battery.
Lock the clip by lowering the tab 2 .
Do not force the tab as locking will not
be possible if the clip is not positioned
correctly; start the procedure again.
Raise the locking tab fully.
