STEERING WHEEL ADJUSTMENT
The height and depth of the steering
wheel can be adjusted to adapt the driv-
ing position to the size of the driver.
A d j u s t m e n t
When stationary , pull the control to
unlock the steering wheel.
Adjust the height and depth.
Push the control to lock the steering
wheel.
As a safety precaution, it is impera-
tive that these operations are carried
out while the vehicle is stationary.
SUN VISOR
Component which protects against
sunlight from the front or the side, also
equipped with an illuminated courtesy
mirror.
With the ignition on, raise the con-
c e a l i n g l a p ; t h e m i r r o r i s l i t a u t o m a t -
ically.
This sun visor is also equipped with a
ticket holder.
TOLL CARD / CAR PARK
TICKET WINDOWS
F a c i l i t y f o r a f i x i n g t o l l c a r d s a n d / o r c a r
park tickets.
These windows are located on each
side of the base of the interior mirror.
T h e y a r e t w o n o n - r e l e c t i v e a r e a s o f t h e
athermic windscreen.
The athermic windscreen limits
heating of the passenger compart-
ment by reducing the effects of the
sun's rays (ultra-violet). It consists
o f a r e l e c t i v e l a y e r , w h i c h a l s o
blocks certain radio-electric signals
(toll card payments, ...).

STATIC DIRECTIONAL
LIGHTING
When the dipped or main beam head-
lamps are on, this function enables the
beam to light the inside of the turn with an
additional angle of approximately 30°.
The use of this lighting is optimum
above all at low and average speed
( c i t y d r i v i n g , w i n d i n g r o a d s , . . . ) .

Switching on
The system is switched on from a cer-
tain speed and a certain angle of rota-
tion of the steering wheel.
Operating fault The function is activated or
deactivated via the multi-
f u n c t i o n d i s p l a y c o n i g u r a -
tion menu.
By default, this function is
activated.
In the event of a malfunction,
t h i s w a r n i n g l i g h t l a s h e s o n t h e
instrument panel, accompanied
by a message on the multifunc-
tion display.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
Switching off
The system is switched off below a
certain angle of rotation of the steering
wheel.
It is switched off when reverse gear is
engaged.
HEADLAMP ADJUSTMENT
The initial setting is position
"0" .
To avoid causing a nuisance to other
road users, the height of the headlamps
should be adjusted in relation to the
load in the vehicle.
0 1 or 2 people in the front seats.
-. 3 people.

2. 5 people + maximum authorised

SEAT BELTS Height adjustment
Seat belt not fastened / unfastened
warning light
Fastening
Pull the strap, then insert the tongue
in the buckle.
Check that the seat belt is fastened
correctly by pulling the strap.
To lower the attachment point,
squeeze control A and slide it down-
wards.
To raise the attachment point, slide
control A upwards.
When the ignition is switched on,
this warning light comes on on
the instrument panel if the driver *
and/or the front passenger has
not fastened his seat belt.
Above approximately 12 mph (20 km/h)
and for two minutes, this warning light
l a s h e s a c c o m p a n i e d b y a n a u d i b l e s i g -
nal of increasing volume. When the two
minutes have elapsed, this warning light
remains on until the driver * and/or the
front passenger fastens his seat belt.

Unfastening
Press the red button on the buckle.
Front seat belts
T h e f r o n t s e a t b e l t s a r e i t t e d w i t h a p r e -
tensioning and force limiting system.
This system improves safety in the front
seats in the event of front impacts. De-
pending on the severity of the impact,
the pretensioning system instantly tight-
ens the seat belts against the body of
the occupants.
The pretensioning seat belts are active
when the ignition is on.
The force limiter reduces the pressure
of the seat belt on the chest of the oc-
cupant, increasing his protection.
On the 5-door and GTi versions, a slider,
i t t e d o n t h e s e a t b e l t , m a k e s i t p o s s i b l e
to support the buckle as close as pos-
sible to the strap return.
