8. Air intake/Air recirculation Deactivation of the system
Press the "small fan" button until
the fan symbol disappears.
This action deactivates all of the func-
tions of the air conditioning system.
The temperature is no longer main-
tained at a comfortable level. However,
a s l i g h t fl o w o f a i r , d u e t o t h e m o v e m e n t
of the vehicle, can still be felt.
Press the "large fan" button again
or the "AUTO" button to reactivate
the system with the values which
were set before it was deactivated.
Press this button to recircu-late the interior air. The air recirculation symbol is dis-played.
5. Air conditioning On/Off
- the windscreen, the side windows and the footwells,
- the windscreen and side windows (demisting or de-icing),
- the central and side vents,
- the central vents, the side vents and the footwells,
- the footwells.
Press the "large fan" button t o i n c r e a s e t h e a i r fl o w .
T h e a i r fl o w s y m b o l , t h e f a n , i s fi l l e d i n progressively in relation to the value required.
Air recirculation prevents exterior odours and smoke from entering the passenger
compartment.
As soon as possible, press this button
again to permit the intake of exterior
air and prevent condensation.
For maximum cooling or heating of
the passenger compartment, you
can exceed the minimum value of
14 or the maximum value of 28 .
Resuming manual control
Depending on your requirements, you
can make a different selection from that
offered by the system by changing a
setting. The other functions will still be
controlled automatically.
Press the "AUTO" button to return
to fully automatic operation.
Switching the system off may result in
discomfort (humidity, condensation).
Press the button again to return to auto-matic operation of the air conditioning. The symbol "A/C" is displayed.

Folding the seat (SW)
This operation can be carried out at the rear seats or through the opening rear screen.
To fold a rear seat without any risk of
damage:
move the corresponding front seat
forward if necessary,
place the head restraints in the low
position, Check that no object could hinder
the movement of the bench seat,
either above or below.
Repositioning the seat (SW)
pull the control 1 forward to release
the seat back 2 which folds easily
onto the seat cushion 3 .
When repositioning the rear seat,
straighten the seat back 2 and lock it.
Check that the red indicator, located at control 1 , is no longer visible.

STEERING WHEEL ADJUSTMENT
The height and reach of the steering
wheel can be adjusted to adapt the driv-
ing position to the size of the driver.
A d j u s t m e n t
When stationary,stationarystationary pull the control to unlock the steering wheel.
Adjust the height and depth.
Push the control to lock the steering wheel.
SUN VISOR
Component which protects against sunlight
from the front or the side, also equipped
with an illuminated courtesy mirror.
With the ignition on, raise the con-
c e a l i n g fl a p ; t h e m i r r o r i s l i t a u t o m a -
tically.
This sun visor is also equipped with a
ticket holder.
TOLL CARD/CAR PARK TICKET
WINDOWS
F a c i l i t y f o r a f fi x i n g t o l l c a r d s a n d / o r c a r
park tickets.
These windows are located on each
side of the base of the interior mirror.
T h e y a r e t w o n o n - r e fl e c t i v e a r e a s o f t h e
athermic windscreen.

To avoid any risk of jamming of the
pedals:
- only use mats which are suited t o t h e fi x i n g s a l r e a d y p r e s e n t i n
the vehicle; it is imperative that
these are used.
MAT
Removable component which protects the carpet against exterior dirt.
Refitting
T o r e fi t t h e m a t o n t h e d r i v e r ' s s i d e :
position the mat correctly,
r e fi t t h e fi x i n g s b y p r e s s i n g ,
check that the mat is secured correctly. Fitting

Removal
To remove the mat on the driver's side:
move the seat as far back as possible,
u n c l i p t h e fi x i n g s ,
r e m o v e t h e fi x i n g s , t h e n t h e m a t .
USB PLUG - READER
This connection box, consisting of a
JACK socket and a USB port, is located
on the centre console.
It permits the connection of portable
equipment, such as a digital audio play-
er of the iPod ®
or USB stick type.
I t r e a d s t h e a u d i o fi l e f o r m a t s ( m p 3 ,
ogg, wma, wav...) which are transmitted
to your audio equipment and played via
the vehicle's speakers.
Y o u c a n m a n a g e t h e s e fi l e s u s i n g t h e
steering wheel controls or the audio
equipment control panel and display
them on the multifunction screen.
When it is in use, the portable equip-
ment charges automatically.

REMOTE CONTROL KEY
System which permits central unlocking
or locking of the vehicle using the lock
or remotely. It also locates and starts
the vehicle, as well as providing protec-
tion against theft. Unfolding the key
First press button A to unfold the
key.
Unlocking the vehicle

of the direction indicators for approxi-
mately two seconds.
According to version, the exterior mirrors
unfold at the same time. Locking the vehicle
Press the open padlock to
unlock the vehicle.
Unlocking using the key
Turn the key to the left in the driver's
door lock to unlock the vehicle. Normal locking using the key
Turn the key to the right in the driver's
door lock to lock the vehicle.

According to version, the exterior mirrors
fold at the same time.
Unlocking using the remote control
Press the closed padlock to
lock the vehicle.

ing (with sequential electric
windows).
If one of the doors, the boot or the
rear screen is still open, the central
locking does not take place.

Deadlocking renders the exterior
and interior door controls inoperative.
It also deactivates the manual cen-
tralised control button.
Therefore, do not leave anyone
inside the vehicle when it is dead-
locked.
Deadlocking using the remote
control
Press the closed padlock to lock the
vehicle.
Press the closed padlock again

Electronic engine immobiliser
The key contains an electronic chip
which has a special code. When the
ignition is switched on, this code must
be recognised in order for starting to be
possible.
This electronic engine immobiliser locks
the engine management system a few
minutes after the ignition is switched off
and prevents starting of the engine by
anyone who does not have the key.
Anti-theft protection
In the event of a malfunction,
you are informed by lighting of
this warning lamp, an audible
signal and a message on the
multifunction screen.
In this case, your vehicle does not start;
contact a PEUGEOT dealer as soon as
possible.
Unlocking and partial opening
of the rear screen (SW)
Press this button for more
than two seconds to par-
tially open the rear screen.
This action will unlock the
v e h i c l e fi r s t .
The boot and the rear screen can-
not both be open at the same time.

Starting the vehicle
Insert the key in the ignition switch.
The system recognises the starting code.
Turn the key fully towards the fascia
to position 3 (Starting) .
When the engine starts, release the
key.
Switching the vehicle off
Immobilise the vehicle.
Turn the key fully towards you to po-
sition 1 (Stop) .
Remove the key from the ignition
switch. Remote control problem
Following disconnection of the vehicle
battery, replacement of the remote con-
trol battery or in the event of a remote
control malfunction, you can no longer
unlock, lock or locate your vehicle.
First of all, use the key in the lock to
unlock or lock your vehicle.
Then, reinitialise the remote control.
If the problem persists, contact a
PEUGEOT dealer as soon as possible. Changing the battery
Battery ref.: CR1620/3 volts.
Reinitialisation
Switch off the ignition.
Turn the key to position 2 (Ignition) .
Press the closed padlock immedi-
ately for a few seconds.
Switch off the ignition and remove
the key from the ignition switch.
The remote control is fully operational
again.
Unclip the casing using a coin at the
notch.
S l i d e t h e fl a t b a t t e r y o u t o f i t s l o c a -
tion.
Slide the new battery into its loca-
tion observing the original direction.
Clip the casing.
Reinitialise the remote control. This replacement battery is avail-
able from PEUGEOT dealers.

informed by lighting of this warn-
ing lamp, an audible signal and
a message on the multifunction
screen.
Locating your vehicle
To locate your vehicle, if you have
locked it, in a car park:
press the closed padlock, the cour-
tesy lights come on and the direction
i n d i c a t o r s fl a s h f o r a f e w s e c o n d s .
Key in ignition
If the key has been left in the igni-
tion, an audible signal is heard on
opening the driver's door.

If the vehicle is locked or dead-
locked from the outside, the red
i n d i c a t o r l i g h t fl a s h e s a n d b u t t o n A
is inactive.
In this case, use the remote
control or the key to unlock the
vehicle.
If one of the doors or the boot or
rear screen is open, the automat-
ic central locking does not take
place.
Manual centralised control
System which provides full manual
locking or unlocking of the doors from
the inside.
Locking
Press button A to lock the vehicle.
The red indicator light on the button
comes on. Automatic centralised control
System which provides full automatic
locking or unlocking of the doors, boot
and rear screen while driving.
You can activate or deactivate this function.
Activation
Press button A for more than
two seconds.

Unlocking
Above 6 mph (10 km/h), press but-
ton A to unlock the doors, the boot
and the rear screen temporarily.
If one of the doors is open, the
central locking from the inside does
not take place.

Press button A again to unlock the
vehicle.
The red indicator light on the button
switches off. Locking
When the speed exceeds 6 mph
(10 km/h), the doors, the boot and the
rear screen lock automatically.
Deactivation
Press button A again for more than
two seconds.

Opening
After unlocking the vehicle using
the remote control or the key, with
the rear screen closed, pull on the
handle A and raise the tailgate.
- when the engine is running,this warning light comes on, accompanied by a message on the multifunction display for a few seconds,
-when the vehicle is moving (speed above 6 mph (10 km/h)), this warning light comes on, accompanied by an au-dible signal and a message on the multi-function display for a few seconds.
Closing
Lower the tailgate using the interior
grab handle.
If the tailgate is not closed correctly:
REAR SCREEN (SW)
Opening
After unlocking the vehicle using
the remote control or the key, with
the boot closed, press the control B
and raise the rear screen using the
base C of the wiper arm.
The boot and the rear screen can-
not both be open at the same time. Closing
Close the rear screen by pressing at
the centre of the glass.
If the rear screen is not closed correctly:
- when the engine is running, this warning light comes on, accompanied by a message on the multifunction display for a few seconds,
- when the vehicle is moving (speed
above 6 mph (10 km/h)), this warning
light comes on, accompanied by an
audible signal and a message on the
multifunction display for a few seconds.
BOOT (SW)
If the rear screen is open, the central
locking does not take place.
