VENTILATION
System which creates and maintains
comfortable conditions and good visibility
in the vehicle's passenger compartment. Air treatment
The incoming air follows various routes
depending on the controls selected by
the driver:
- direct arrival in the passenger com-
partment (air intake),
- passage through a heating circuit (heating),
- passage through a cooling circuit (air conditioning). The temperature control enables you to
obtain the level of comfort required by
mixing the air of the various circuits.
The air distribution control enables you
to diffuse the air in the passenger com-
partment combining several air vents.

crease or reduce the speed of the ven-
tilation blower.
Air intake
The air circulating in the passenger com-
p a r t m e n t i s fi l t e r e d a n d o r i g i n a t e s e i t h e r
from the outside via the grille located at
the base of the windscreen or from the
inside in air recirculation mode. Control panel
The controls of this system are grouped
together on control panel
A on the centre
console. Depending on the model, the
functions offered are:
- the level of comfort required,
- t h e a i r fl o w ,
- the air distribution,
- the de-icing and demisting,
- the manual or automatic air condi- tioning controls.
Air diffusion
1. Windscreen de-icing or demisting
vents.
2. Front side window de-icing or de-
misting vents.
3. Side adjustable and closing vents.
4. Central adjustable and closing
vents.
5. Air outlets to the front footwells.
6. Air outlets to the rear footwells.

5. Air conditioning On/Off
The air conditioning is de-signed to operate effectively in all seasons, with the windows closed.
The control button is located on the heating or air conditioning system control panel.
REAR SCREEN DE-ICING
If the engine is switched off before
the de-icing is switched off auto-
matically, de-icing will resume next
time the engine is switched on.
Switching on
The rear screen de-icing can only oper-ate when the engine is running.
Press this button to de-ice the rear screen and the exterior mirrors. The indicator light associated with the button comes on.
Switching off
The de-icing switches off automatically
to prevent an excessive consumption of
current.
It is possible to stop the de-icing
operation before it is switched off
automatically by pressing the button
again. The indicator light associated
with the button switches off.
It enables you to:
- lower the temperature, in summer,
- increase the effectiveness of the demisting, in winter above 0 °C.
Switching on
Press the "A/C" button, the associated
indicator light comes on.
The air conditioning does not operate w h e n t h e a i r fl o w a d j u s t m e n t d i a l 2 i s in position "0".
Switching off
Press the "A/C" button again, the associated indicator light switches off.

5. Air conditioning On/Off
The air conditioning is de-signed to operate effectively in all seasons, with the windows closed.

When the engine is cold, to prevent
too great a distribution of cold
a i r , t h e a i r fl o w w i l l o n l y r e a c h i t s
optimum level gradually. The air conditioning can only operate with the engine running.
The driver and his front
passenger can each set
the temperature to suit their
requirements.
Turn dial 2 or 3 to the left to reduce
the value or to the right to increase it.
A setting around 21 enables you to
obtain an optimum level of comfort.
Depending on your requirements, a
setting between 18 and 24 is usual.
In addition, it is recommended that you avoid a left/right setting difference of more than 3.
4. Automatic visibility programme
The automatic comfort pro-
g r a m m e m a y n o t b e s u f fi c i e n t
to quickly demist or de-ice the
windscreen and side windows
(humidity, several passengers,
ice...).
In this case, select the automatic vis-
ibility programme.
The system automatically controls the
a i r c o n d i t i o n i n g , t h e a i r fl o w a n d t h e a i r
intake and provides optimum distribution
of the ventilation to the windscreen and
side windows.

DUAL ZONE AUTOMATIC AIR CONDITIONING
We recommend that you use this mode: it provides optimised automatic control of all of the functions, passenger compartment t e m p e r a t u r e , a i r fl o w , a i r d i s t r i b u t i o n a n d air recirculation, in accordance with the comfort value that you have selected.
This system is designed to operate
effectively in all seasons, with the
windows closed. The value indicated on the display corresponds to a level of comfort and not to a temperature in degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit.

To exit this programme, press the "visibility" button again or the "AUTO"button, the indicator light on the button switches off and "AUTO" is displayed.
Press this button to switch the air conditioning off.

Press the "small fan" button t o r e d u c e t h e a i r fl o w.
8. Air intake/Air recirculation Deactivation of the system
Press the "small fan" button until
the fan symbol disappears.
This action deactivates all of the func-
tions of the air conditioning system.
The temperature is no longer main-
tained at a comfortable level. However,
a s l i g h t fl o w o f a i r , d u e t o t h e m o v e m e n t
of the vehicle, can still be felt.
Press the "large fan" button again
or the "AUTO" button to reactivate
the system with the values which
were set before it was deactivated.
Press this button to recircu-late the interior air. The air recirculation symbol is dis-played.
5. Air conditioning On/Off
- the windscreen, the side windows and the footwells,
- the windscreen and side windows (demisting or de-icing),
- the central and side vents,
- the central vents, the side vents and the footwells,
- the footwells.
Press the "large fan" button t o i n c r e a s e t h e a i r fl o w .
T h e a i r fl o w s y m b o l , t h e f a n , i s fi l l e d i n progressively in relation to the value required.
Air recirculation prevents exterior odours and smoke from entering the passenger
compartment.
As soon as possible, press this button
again to permit the intake of exterior
air and prevent condensation.
For maximum cooling or heating of
the passenger compartment, you
can exceed the minimum value of
14 or the maximum value of 28 .
Resuming manual control
Depending on your requirements, you
can make a different selection from that
offered by the system by changing a
setting. The other functions will still be
controlled automatically.
Press the "AUTO" button to return
to fully automatic operation.
Switching the system off may result in
discomfort (humidity, condensation).
Press the button again to return to auto-matic operation of the air conditioning. The symbol "A/C" is displayed.

STEERING WHEEL ADJUSTMENT
The height and reach of the steering
wheel can be adjusted to adapt the driv-
ing position to the size of the driver.
A d j u s t m e n t
When stationary,stationarystationary pull the control to unlock the steering wheel.
Adjust the height and depth.
Push the control to lock the steering wheel.
SUN VISOR
Component which protects against sunlight
from the front or the side, also equipped
with an illuminated courtesy mirror.
With the ignition on, raise the con-
c e a l i n g fl a p ; t h e m i r r o r i s l i t a u t o m a -
tically.
This sun visor is also equipped with a
ticket holder.
TOLL CARD/CAR PARK TICKET
WINDOWS
F a c i l i t y f o r a f fi x i n g t o l l c a r d s a n d / o r c a r
park tickets.
These windows are located on each
side of the base of the interior mirror.
T h e y a r e t w o n o n - r e fl e c t i v e a r e a s o f t h e
athermic windscreen.

REMOTE CONTROL KEY
System which permits central unlocking
or locking of the vehicle using the lock
or remotely. It also locates and starts
the vehicle, as well as providing protec-
tion against theft. Unfolding the key
First press button A to unfold the
key.
Unlocking the vehicle
U n l o c k i n g i s c o n fi r m e d b y r a p i d fl a s h i n g
of the direction indicators for approxi-
mately two seconds.
According to version, the exterior mirrors
unfold at the same time. Locking the vehicle
Press the open padlock to
unlock the vehicle.
Unlocking using the key
Turn the key to the left in the driver's
door lock to unlock the vehicle. Normal locking using the key
Turn the key to the right in the driver's
door lock to lock the vehicle.

the direction indicators for approximately
two seconds.
According to version, the exterior mirrors
fold at the same time.
Unlocking using the remote control
Press the closed padlock to
lock the vehicle.
Press the closed padlock
for more than two seconds
to close the windows auto-
matically in addition to lock-
ing (with sequential electric
windows).
If one of the doors, the boot or the
rear screen is still open, the central
locking does not take place.

ALARM
System which protects and provides a
deterrent against the theft of your vehi-
cle. It provides two types of protection,
exterior and interior, as well as an anti-
tamper function. Locking the vehicle with full
alarm
D o n o t m a k e a n y m o d i fi c a t i o n s t o
the alarm system, this could cause
malfunctions. To be effective, this deactivation
must be carried out each time the
ignition is switched off.
Reactivation of the interior
volumetric protection
Unlock the vehicle using the unlock-
ing button on the remote control.
Relock the vehicle using the remote
control.
The alarm is activated again with both
types of protection; the indicator lamp
on button A switches off.
Locking the vehicle with
exterior protection alarm only
Activation
Switch off the ignition and get out of
the vehicle.
Lock or deadlock the vehicle using
the locking button on the remote
control.
The alarm is activated; the indicator light
on button A fl a s h e s o n c e p e r s e c o n d .
Exterior perimiter protection
The system detects opening of the
vehicle.
The alarm is triggered if anyone tries to
enter the vehicle by forcing a door, the
boot or the bonnet.
Interior volumetric protection
The system detects any variation in the
volume in the passenger compartment.
The alarm is triggered if anyone breaks
a window or moves inside the vehicle.
If you wish to leave a pet in the vehicle
or a window partially open, deactivate
the interior volumetric protection.
Anti-tamper function
The system detects the putting out of
service of its components.
The alarm is triggered if anyone tries
to put the wires of the siren, the central
control or the battery out of service.
Deactivation
Unlock the vehicle using the unlock-
ing button on the remote control.
The alarm is deactivated; the indicator
light on button A switches off. Deactivation of the interior
volumetric protection
Switch off the ignition.
Within ten seconds, press button A
until the indicator lamp is lit continu-
ously.
Get out of the vehicle.
Lock or deadlock the vehicle using
the locking button on the remote
control.
The exterior protection alarm alone re-
mains activated; the indicator lamp on
button A fl a s h e s o n c e p e r s e c o n d .
