Familiarisation

Limit the causes of excess consumption


Spread loads throughout the vehicle; place the heaviest items in thebottom of the boot, as close as possible to the rear seats.
Limit the loads carried in the vehicle and reduce wind resistance (roof bars, roof rack, bicycle carrier, trailer...). Use a roof box in preference.
Remove roof bars and roof racks after use.


At the end of winter, remove snow tyres and refit your summer tyres.



Observe the recommendations on
maintenance


Check the tyre pressures regularly, when cold, referring to the label in the door aperture, driver's side. Carry out this check in par ticular:


- before a long journey,

- at each change of season,

- after a long period out of use.
Don't forget the spare wheel and the tyres on any trailer or caravan.


Have your vehicle ser viced regularly (engine oil, oil filter, air filter...) andobser ve the schedule of operations recommended by the manufacturer.


When refuelling, do not continue after the third cut-off of the nozzle to
avoid any overflow.


At the wheel of your new vehicle, it is only after the first 1 800 miles (3 000 kilometres) that you will see the fuel consumption settle down toa consistent average.

)After unlocking the boot or the vehicle
using the remote control or the key, press
the opening control, then raise the tailgate.
Tailgate release
System for mechanical unlocking of the boot in
the event of a central locking malfunction.

Opening Closing

Lower the tailgate using the interior grab
handle. ) If necessary, press down on the tailgate tofully close it.
If the tailgate is not closed correctly:
- when the en
gine is running ,
this warning lamp comes on, accompanied by the display of analert message for a few seconds,
- when the vehicle is moving
(speed above6 mph (10 km/h)), this warning lamp comes
on, accompanied by an audible signal and
the display of an aler t message for a fewseconds.


Unlocking

Fold back the rear seats to gain access to
the lock from inside the boot. ) Insert a small screwdriver into hole Aof thelock to unlock the tailgate.

it downwards to lower, as many times as required, to obtain the position required.

)To raise the head restraint, pull it upwards. )To remove the head restraint, press thelug A and pull the head restraint upwards.)To put the head restraint back in place,
engage the head restraint stems in the
openings keeping them in line with the seat
back. )To lower the head restraint, press the lug Aand the head restraint at the same time.
The head restraint is fitted with a framewith notches which prevents it fromlowering; this is a safety device in caseof impact. The adjustment is correct when theupper edge of the head restraint is level with the top of the head.Never drive with the head restraintsremoved; they must be in place andadjusted correctly.

Ensure that no person or object prevents the seat slide from returningto its initial position; the return to thisposition is necessary for longitudinal
locking. Check that the seat belt has reeled incorrectly so as to not impede access for passengers to the rear seats.

When put back in place, the seat returns to its
initial position.

For access to the closed storage box, lift

Folding the backrest Repositioning the seat backrest
)Straighten the seat backrest 2and secure it. )Check that the red indicators, located next
to the controls 1 , are no longer visible. )Unbuckle and return the seat belts to the sides of the backrest.
)Move the front seats forward if necessary.)Position the seat belts on the backrest and buckle them.

Place the head restraints in the low position. )
Press both controls 1simultaneously to
release the seat backrest 2.) Fold the seat backrest 2
on to the cushion.


When repositioning the backrest, ensure that the seat belts are not trapped.










Rear bench seat Bench seat with fixed one-piece cushion and folding one-piece backrest.
When folding the seat, the centre seat belt should not be buckled but laid out flat on the seat.
