EXTERIOR
Temporary puncture repair kit
This kit is a complete system, consisting
of a compressor and an integral sealant
cartridge, for the temporary repair of a
tyre. 166
Lower tailgate
This lower tailgate permits remarkable
accessibility and makes the loading of
bulky objects easier. 83 Visual and audible front and/or rear
parking sensors
This system warns you if an obstacle is
detected behind or in front of the vehicle
in reverse or forward gear.

OPENING
Boot
Opening
After unlocking the vehicle using the
remote control or the key, press the
handle A and lift the tailgate.
Closing
After closing the lower tailgate, pull
the handle B downwards to guide
the tailgate.
Lower tailgate

Push the handle C to the right and
tilt the tailgate D .
Closing
Raise the tailgate D , push it fully to
close it, check that it is locked cor-
rectly.

ARRANGE YOUR BOOT
3 position adjustable boot
Low position (150 kg max). 108

raise.
Use the stops A , placed on each
side of the boot to change the
h e i g h t o f t h e fl o o r m o r e e a s i l y . Intermediate position (100 kg max). High position (50 kg max) w
ith the lower
tailgate closed to isolate the lower part
of the boot.
F r o m t h e h i g h p o s i t i o n , p l a c e t h e fl o o r
in this position (at an angle), two stops
support it to allow access underneath it
or to the spare wheel.

Warning lamp is on Cause Action/Observations
Battery
charge fi x e d . The battery charging circuit
has a fault (dirty or loose
terminals, slack or cut
alternator belt, ...). The warning lamp should go off when
the engine is started.
If it does not switch off, contact a
PEUGEOT dealer.
Door(s)
open

below 6 mph (10 km/h).
A door, the boot, the lower
tailgate or the bonnet (with
alarm only) is still open. Close the door or boot. fi x e d a n d a c c o m p a n i e d
by an audible signal if the speed is above 6 mph (10 km/h).
Seat belt not
fastened/
unfastened fi x e d t h e n fl a s h i n g
accompanied by an increasing audible signal. The driver and/or the front
passenger has not fastened
or has unfastened their seat
belt.
Pull the strap then insert the tongue in
the buckle.
Airbags temporarily.
This lamp comes on for a
few seconds when you turn
on the ignition, then switches
off. This lamp should switch off when the
engine is started.
If it does not switch off, contact a
PEUGEOT dealer.
fi x e d . One of the airbag or seat belt
pretensioner systems has a
fault. Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer.
Water in
Diesel fi x e d . T h e d i e s e l fi l t e r c o n t a i n s
water. Risk of damage to the injection system
on Diesel engines.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer without
delay.

Emergency control
System which locks or unlocks the
doors mechanically in the event of a
m a l f u n c t i o n o f t h e b a t t e r y o r o f t h e c e n -
tral locking.
In the event of a fault with the central
l o c k i n g , y o u m u s t d i s c o n n e c t t h e b a t -
t e r y t o l o c k t h e b o o t a n d s o e n s u r e t h e
complete locking of the vehicle.
Insert the key in the lock, located on
the edge of the door, then turn it one
eighth of a turn .
Locking the driver's door
Insert the key in the lock, then turn it
to the right.
Unlocking the driver's door
Insert the key in the lock, then turn it
to the left.
Locking the front and rear
passenger doors
Unlocking the front and rear
passenger doors
Pull the interior door opening control.

After unlocking the vehicle using the
remote control or the key, press the
handle A and raise the tailgate.
BOOT
Closing
Close the lower tailgate.
Pull the handle B downwards to
guide the tailgate.

Opening
Push the handle C to the right and
tilt the tailgate D gently.
Closing
Raise the tailgate D , push it fully to
close it, check that it is secured cor-
rectly. B e f o r e o p e n i n g t h e b o o t , e n -
sure that no one is within the
radius of opening.
For reasons of safety, correct opera-
tion and compliance with regulations,
d o n o t d r i v e w i t h t h e b o o t a n d t h e
lower tailgate open.
I f t h e b a t t e r y i s d i s c o n n e c t e d , t h e
b o o t c a n n o t b e o p e n e d .
D o n o t c l i m b o n t o t h e l o w e r t a i l g a t e
a n d d o n o t s u b j e c t i t t o h e a v y k n o c k s ,
i t m a y b e d a m a g e d .
Always close the lower tailgate and
c h e c k t h a t i t i s s e c u r e d c o r r e c t l y b e -
f o r e c l o s i n g t h e b o o t .
When closing the lower tailgate, en-
s u r e t h a t n o p e r s o n o r o b j e c t i s i n t h e
proximity of the moving parts to avoid
a n y r i s k o f i n j u r y o r d a m a g e .
Do not open the lower tailgate
w h e n a t o w b a r i s fi t t e d .
Maximum authorised weight
on the lower tailgate when
open: 200 kg .
