OPERATION WARNING
LIGHTS
A permanently lit warning light or
o n e t h a t l a s h e s w i t h t h e e n g i n e
r u n n i n g , i n d i c a t e s a n o p e r a t i n g f a u l t
in the relevant unit. Some warning
l i g h t s m a y b e l i n k e d t o b u z z e r s a n d
a m e s s a g e o n t h e m u l t i - f u n c t i o n
d i s p l a y . D o n o t i g n o r e t h i s w a r n i n g :

Central STOP
warning light
This light comes on
for a few seconds
each time the igni-
tion is switched on.
It is linked to the "engine oil pres-
s u r e " * , " l o w b r a k e l u i d l e v e l " a n d
"electronic brake force distribution
fault" warning lights and the coolant
temperature gauge.
S t o p i m m e d i a t e l y i f i t l a s h e s w i t h
the engine running.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
It also comes on in the event of a
puncture,accompanied by an audible
signal and a message on the multi-
function display locating the wheel
concerned. Service warning light
This light comes on for a
few seconds each time
the ignition is switched on.
If it remains on or comes
on when the engine is running, ac-
companied by an audible signal and
a message on the multifunction dis-
play, it indicates one of the following:
- a battery charge fault * ,
- an automatic gearbox operation fault,
- an engine immobiliser system fault,
- an engine management system fault,
- a speed control system fault (cruise control/speed limiter),
- a rear parking assistance system fault,
- an automatic switching on of the lights system fault,
- an automatic headlamp height adjustment system fault,
- a t y r e u n d e r - i n l a t i o n d e t e c t i o n system fault,
- a d e l a t e d w h e e l ,
- a l a t r e m o t e c o n t r o l b a t t e r y ,
-
one or more door(s) open at a vehi-
cle speed above 6 mph (10 km/h),
- a low diesel additive reservoir level (Diesel),
- a lack of engine oil,
- the start of saturation of the par- t i c l e e m i s s i o n i l t e r ( D i e s e l ) d u e
to exceptionally prolonged urban
driving conditions: low speed,
l o n g t r a f i c j a m s , . . . I n o r d e r t o r e g e n e r a t e t h e i l -
ter, you are advised to drive at
a speed of 40 mph (60 km/h) or
a b o v e f o r a t l e a s t i v e m i n u t e s
(until the warning light is switched
off) as soon as possible, when
t r a f i c c o n d i t i o n s p e r m i t . I f t h e
warning light remains on, contact
a PEUGEOT dealer.
During regeneration of the par- t i c l e e m i s s i o n i l t e r , r e l a y n o i s e
may be heard from underneath

Contact a PEUGEOT dealer as soon as possible.

Stop immediately.
Warning: wait for the engine to cool
before topping up the level. The cool-
ing system is pressurised.
In order to avoid any risk of scalding,
unscrew the cap by two turns to allow
the pressure to drop. When the pres-
sure has dropped, remove the cap
and top up the level.

With the lights on, press the button
to vary the intensity of the lighting of
the instruments and controls. When
the lighting reaches the minimum (or
maximum) setting, release the button
then press it again to increase (or re-
duce) the brightness.
As soon as the lighting is of the re-
quired brightness, release the button.

With the ignition on, press the button
until the zeros appear.
Pressing the button enables you to
alternate between the distance re-
corder and cruise control or speed
limiter displays, when either of these
is activated.

This displays the following information:
- the time,
- the date,

- the warning messages (e.g.: "Emis- s i o n c o n t r o l s y s t e m f a u l t y " ) o r i n f o r -
mation messages (e.g.: "Auto lights
o n " ) , d i s p l a y e d t e m p o r a r i l y , c a n
b e c l e a r e d b y p r e s s i n g t h e "ESC"
button,
- t h e t r i p c o m p u t e r ( s e e c o r r e - s p o n d i n g s e c t i o n ) .

Parameter configuration
T h e r e a r e t h r e e d i s p l a y c o n t r o l b u t t o n s :
- "ESC" to abandon the operation
in progress,

- "OK" t o s e l e c t t h e m e n u o r s u b -
menu required.
General menu
Press the "MENU" b u t t o n t o s c r o l l
through the various menus of the
general menu:
- v e h i c l e c o n i g u r a t i o n ,
- options,
- display settings,
- languages,
- units.

IMMOBILISER
This locks the engine control system
a few moments after the ignition has
been switched off and therefore pre-
vents starting of the vehicle by any-
one who does not have the key.
The ignition key has an electronic
chip which has a special code. When
the ignition is switched on, the code
is recognised and starting is possi-
ble.
If the system does not function
correctly, the service warning light
comes on, accompanied by an audi-
ble signal and a message on the mul-
tifunction display.
In this case, your vehicle will not
start. Contact a PEUGEOT dealer as
soon as possible.
A heavy object attached to the key
(key ring, ...), weighing down on the
shaft of the key in the switch, may
cause a malfunction.
Battery ref.: CR1620/3 volts.

by displaying of the service warning
light, accompanied by an audible sig-
nal and a message on the multifunc-
tion display.
To replace the battery, unclip the cas-
ing using a coin at the notch.
If the remote control does not work
after the battery has been changed,
reprogramme the remote control.
Key in ignition
A buzzer sounds on opening the driv-
er’s door, if the key has been left in
the ignition.
control battery or in the event of a re-
mote control malfunction, the remote
control must be reinitialised.
Switch off the ignition.
Switch the ignition on again.
Press the remote control locking
button immediately for a few sec-
onds.
Switch off the ignition and remove
the remote control key from the
ignition lock.
The remote control is now working
again.
Locating your vehicle
Using the key
Turn the key in the lock on the
driver’s door to lock the vehicle.

seconds to deadlock the vehicle.
E a c h a c t i o n i s c o n i r m e d b y i x e d
lighting of the direction indicators for
approximately two seconds.
When the vehicle is locked,
if unlocking is activated inad-
vertently without a door being
opened within 30 seconds,
the vehicle will lock automatically.
The folding and unfolding of the ex-
terior mirrors can be deactivated by
a PEUGEOT dealer.
To locate your vehicle, if
you have locked it, in a
car park:
press button B , the courtesy lights
come on and the direction indica-
t o r s l a s h f o r a f e w s e c o n d s .

ALARM
This provides two types of protection:
-
exterior protection: it sounds if a door,
the boot or the bonnet is opened.
- interior protection: it sounds if
the volume inside the passenger
compartment changes (breaking
of a window or a movement in-
side the vehicle).
In the next ten seconds, press
button A until the indicator light is
on continuously,
Get out of the vehicle,
Set the alarm by locking or dead-
locking using the remote control
(button A i n d i c a t o r l i g h t l a s h e s
once a second).
In order for the alarm to be set in
this mode, these operations must be
carried out each time the ignition is
switched off.
Setting the alarm
Switch off the ignition and get out
of the vehicle.
Set the alarm, by locking or dead-
locking using the remote control
(button A i n d i c a t o r l i g h t l a s h e s
once per second).
Note: if you wish to lock your vehi-
cle without setting the alarm, use the
door lock.
When the alarm is triggered, the si-
ren sounds and the direction indicator
l i g h t s l a s h f o r t h i r t y s e c o n d s .
After triggering, the alarm remains set.
Disarming
Unlock the vehicle with the remote
control key (button A indicator light
goes out).
Note: if the alarm has been triggered
while you were away from your vehicle,
t h e r a p i d l a s h i n g o f t h e i n d i c a t o r l i g h t w i l l
stop when you switch on the ignition.
Failure of the remote control
Unlock the doors with the key and
open the door. The alarm is trig-
gered.
Switch on the ignition. The alarm
is disarmed.
Incorrect operation
When the ignition is switched on, if
button A lights for ten seconds, there
is a fault in the siren connection.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer to have
the system checked.
If the alarm has been trig-
gered ten times in succes-
sion, on the eleventh time it
becomes inactive.
If button A i n d i c a t o r l i g h t l a s h e s r a p -
idly, the alarm has been triggered while
you were away from your vehicle.
45 seconds following pressing of the
locking button on the remote control,
the alarm is set, regardless of the
status of the doors or boot.
When washing your vehicle, to pre-
vent triggering of the alarm:
- lock the doors using the key,
or
- set the exterior alarm only
To set the alarm with exterior
protection only
If, while you are away from the vehi-
cle, you wish to leave a window par-
tially open or a pet inside the vehicle,
you should choose exterior protection
only.
Switch off the ignition,
Automatic activation *
The alarm is activated automatically
two minutes after the last closure of a
door or the boot.
In order to avoid accidental triggering
of the alarm when a door or the boot
i s o p e n e d , i t i s e s s e n t i a l t o i r s t p r e s s
the unlocking button on the remote
control.

This operates with the dipped/main
beam headlamps.
Note: when the lights are switched off
automatically, the rear fog lamp and
the dipped headlamps will remain on.
Turn the ring backwards to switch
off the rear fog lamp. The dipped
headlamps will then be switched off. The front fog lamps operate with
the side lights and the dipped
headlamps.

on and backwards to switch off.

Lights on buzzer
With the ignition off and the automatic
switching on of the lights deactivated,
when the driver’s door is opened, a
buzzer sounds to warn you that you
have left your lights on.
The rear fog lamp will be
deactivated automatically
when towing or when a
b i c y c l e c a r r i e r i t t e d w i t h a
f o g l a m p i s i t t e d .
LIGHTS STALK
In good or rainy weather,
both day and night, the front
fog lamps and the rear fog
lamp are dazzling and are
prohibited.
Do not forget to switch them off when
they are no longer needed.
