FRONT SEATS
1. Forwards-backwards adjustmentLift the control and slide the seat forwards or backwards.
2. Access to rear seats (3 door) Pull the handle to fold the seatback and move the seat for-wards. On repositioning, the seat returns to its initial position.
Warning: no person or object
must prevent the seat from retur- ning to its initial position; a returnto this position is necessary forthe seat to lock in place.
3. Seat back angle adjustment Push the handle towards the
rear.
4. Driver's* or passenger's* seat height adjustment* Pull the handle upwardsor push it downwards as many times asnecessary to obtain the requiredposition.

5. Front heated seats control*Press the switch. The temperatu-
re is controlled automatically. Pressing the switch again stops operation. Note : the command for activation
of the heating of the seat(s) remains memorised for twominutes after the ignition has
been switched off.
6. Front armrests* These can be folded down andare removable.
To remove them, press the but- ton located between the armrestand the side of the seat and pullit.
7. Front head restraint height and angle* adjustment
To raise or lower the restraint, pull it forwards, sliding it at thesame time. The angle of the head restraint can also be adjusted*.
To remove the head restraint, place it in the top position, lift thelug using a coin and pull it for-wards and upwards at the sametime. To put it back in position, locatethe stems of the restraint in theholes, taking care to keep themin line with the seat back.
Active seat back (front seat) This possesses a device to prevent "whiplash". When there is an impact from the
rear, the action of the body on theseat back forces the head restraintforwards and upwards, preventingthe head being thrown backwards.
8. Storage drawers* There is a storage drawer under each front seat.
Ð To open it, lift and pull.
Ð To take it out, open to its full extent, press the ends of the slides and lift
it, then remove it completely.
Do not place heavy objects in thedrawers. Under the front passenger seat, the layout of the floor allows for storageof a first aid kit and a warning triangle(small version).
* According to specification. REAR HEAD RESTRAINTS These have a high position for when they are in use and a low position forwhen they are stored.
To lower the head restraints, press the lug. The head restraints are removable.
To remove them, pull upwards as far as the stop then press the lug.

The adjustment is correct when the upper edge of thehead restraint is level withthe top of the head.
Never drive with the head restraints remo-ved; they should be inplace and correctlyadjusted.

SEAT BELTS
To adjust the height of the front seat belts To lower the attachment point, squeeze control 1and slide it
downwards.
To raise the attachment point,squeeze control 1and slide it
upwards.
To lock the seat belts Pull the strap, then insert the buckle into the stalk. Pre-tensioning and force- limiting front seat belts* Safety in the event of a frontal impact has been improved by the introduc-tion of pre-tensioning and force-limi-ting front seat belts. Depending onthe seriousness of the impact, thepre-tensioning system instantly tigh-tens the seat belt firmly against thebody of the occupant. The pre-tensioning seat belts are armed when the ignition is on. The force-limiting device reduces the pressure of the seat belt against thebody of the occupant in the event ofan accident. Rear seat belts The three rear seats are all fitted with three-point inertia reel seat belts.The side seats are fitted with force-limiting devices.
To be effective, a seat beltmust be tightened asclose to the body as pos-sible.
Depending on the nature and theseriousness of the impact, thepre-tensioners may be triggeredbefore and independently of theair bags. In all cases of an air bag being triggered, the air bag warning lighton the instrument panel comeson. After an impact, have the system
checked by a PEUGEOT dealer. The system has been designed to be fully operational for ten years. Have it replaced after this period.

THE KEYS The keys allow you to switch on the ignition and to independently opera-te the locks on the front doors, thefuel filler cap, the glove box and thepassenger air bag disarming switch. Central locking
From the driver's door, the keys allow you to lock, deadlock* or unlock thedoors and tailgate, as well as fold backthe exterior mirrors*. If one of the doors or the boot is open, the central locking does not work; ableep indicates this when locking byremote control. The remote control performs the same functions at a distance.The remote control LockingPress button
Ato lock the vehicle.
This is confirmed by fixed lighting of the direction indicators for approxi-mately two seconds. Note : a long press on button A, in
addition to locking, automatically closes the windows* and the sun-roof*.
Vehicles fitted with deadlocking*
Warning: deadlocking* renders the
internal and external door locking controls inoperative. Pressing button Adeadlocks the
vehicle. This is confirmed by fixed lighting of the direction indicators forapproximately two seconds. Note: a long press on button Aper-
mits automatic closing of the win- dows* and the sunroof*, in additionto deadlocking.
A second press on button Awithin
five seconds of deadlocking changes
this to normal locking. This is confir-med by fixed lighting of the directionindicators for two seconds, followedby a brief sound from the horn.

Unlocking Press button Bto unlock the vehicle
This is confirmed by rapid flashing of the direction indicators. Note: if the vehicle is locked and
unlocking is activated inadvertently without the doors being openedwithin 30 seconds, the vehicle will
lock automatically. Do not repeatedly press the buttons of your remote control out of range
of your vehicle. You risk causing itnot to work and the remote controlwould have to be reprogrammed. Locating your car
To locate your car, if you have loc- ked it, in a car park: press button A(the courtesy
lights come on and the direction indicators flash for a fewseconds).

Confidential card The confidential card contains the identification code necessary for anywork carried out by a PEUGEOT
dealer on the system. This code ishidden by a film which should be
removed only if necessary. Keep your card in a safe place, never inside the vehicle. Key in ignition
A buzzer sounds on opening the dri-
ver's door, if the key has been left inthe ignition.Changing the battery of the remote control The information
"battery flat"is given
by an audible signal accompanied by the message "Remote control batte-
ry low" on the multifunction display.
To replace the battery, remove the boltthen unclip the casing using a coin atthe ring (CR2016/3 volt battery). If the remote control does not work after the battery has been changed,reprogramme the remote control. Programming the remote control Switch off the ignition.
Switch the ignition on again.
Immediately press button A.
Switch off the ignition and remo- ve the remote control key from
the ignition lock. The remotecontrol is now working again.

Electronic engine immobiliser This locks the engine control system as soon as the ignition has been
switched off and therefore preventsstarting of the vehicle by anyone who
does not have the key. The ignition key has an electronic chip which has a special code.When the ignition is switched on, thecode is recognised and starting ispossible. If the system does not function correctly , the central locking button
indicator light, situated in the centreof the instrument panel, flashesrapidly when the ignition is switched
on (2nd notch on the ignition key,accompanied by an audible signaland the message "Anti-theft device
faulty" on the multifunction display.

THE ALARM* This provides two types of protec- tion: Ðexterior protection: when this is
set, the alarm sounds if a door, the boot or the bonnet is opened.
Ð interior protection: when this is
set, the alarm sounds if the sen-sors detect a variation in the airmovement inside the vehicle(breaking of a window or move-ment inside the vehicle).
Setting the alarm Switch off the ignition and get out of the vehicle.
Set the alarm within five minutesof getting out of the vehicle, bylocking or deadlocking using theremote control (button Aindica-
tor light flashes once persecond).
Note: if you wish to lock your vehicle
without setting the alarm, use thedoor lock. When the alarm is triggered, thesiren sounds and the direction indi-cators flash for thirty seconds. After triggering, the alarm remains set.
Warning:
if the alarm has been trig-
gered ten times in succession, on the eleventh time it becomes inactive. Note: if button Aflashes rapidly, the
alarm has been triggered while you
were away from your car. Disarming Unlock the vehicle with the remote control key (button Aindicator light
goes out). Note: if the alarm has been triggered
while you were away from your car, the rapid flashing of the indicatorlight will stop when you switch on theignition.
To set the alarm with exterior protection only If, while you are away from the vehicle, you wish to leave a windowpartially open or a pet inside thevehicle, you should choose exterior
protection only. Switch off the ignition.
In the next ten seconds, press button Auntil the indicator light
is on continuously.
Get out of the vehicle.
Set the alarm by locking or dead-locking using the remote control(button Aindicator light flashes
once a second).
Note: when the alarm is set but the
remote control does not operate: Unlock the doors with the key
and open the door. The alarm istriggered.
Switch on the ignition in the next
ten seconds. The alarm is disarmed.
Incorrect operation When the ignition is switched on, if button Alights for ten seconds, there
is a fault in the siren connection.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer to have the system checked. Automatic activation** The alarm is activated automatically two minutes after the last opening(door or boot) is closed. In order to avoid accidental triggering of the alarm when a door or the bootis opened, it is essential to first pressthe remote control opening button.

Locking / Unlocking from the inside Press button A.
This allows locking or unlocking of the doors and the tailgate. Note: if the vehicle is deadlocked,
button Adoes not function. In this
case use the remote control for unlocking. "Door open" alert With the engine running or the vehicle moving, the flashing of thecentral "STOP" warning light,
accompanied by an audible signaland a diagram locating the problem
on the multifunction display, warnsyou that a door is not properly clo-sed.
THE DOORS Opening the doors from outside Opening the doors from inside The front door unlocking controls permit complete unlocking of thevehicle.
However, the rear door unlocking controls only unlock the door concerned. Note:
the door opening switches do
not function when the vehicle is deadlocked.
Child safety This prevents either of the rear doors being opened from inside. Turn the red plastic switch a quarter of a turn using the ignition
key.

TAILGATE Simultaneous locking or unlocking of the tailgate andthe doors The tailgate is locked or unlocked by the remote control or the driver's door lock.
To open, pull handle Aand lift the
tailgate.Note: the tailgate locks automatical-
ly when the vehicle is being driven at 6 mph (10 km/h) and unlocks whenone of the doors is opened or at aspeed below 6 mph (10 km/h).
"Tailgate open" warning When the engine is running or if the vehicle is being driven, the flashingof the central "STOP"warning light
accompanied by an audible signaland a diagram on the multifunctiondisplay warns you that the tailgate isnot properly closed. Tailgate release This enables the tailgate to be unloc- ked in the event of a central lockingfault.
- Fold back the rear seats to gain
access to the lock from inside the boot,
- Insert a small screwdriver into hole A of the lock to unlock the tailgate. THE SUNROOF* -
to partially open the roof: Turn
the switch to the right (three pos- sible settings).
- to close: Turn the switch back to
position "O".
- to open the roof completely:
Turn the switch to the left (six pos-sible settings).
- to close it completely: Turn the
switch back to position "O".
- safety auto-reverse: When the
sunroof is closing and meets anobstacle, it stops then opensagain.
- After a safety auto-reverse manoeuvre, to synchronise theposition of the switch with the roofposition, press and hold the switch.
Note: the sunroof shutter is manual.
