!##7 *# "#0! This system consists of four proximity
sensors, located in the rear bumper,
and a special speaker. This detects any obstacle (person, vehicle, tree, gate, etc.) behind thevehicle. Nevertheless, it cannotdetect obstacles located just below
the bumper. An object, such as a stake, a road- works cone or any other similarobject may be detected at the begin-ning of the manoeuvre, but may nolonger be detected when the vehiclecomes close to it.
this function will be disarmed
automatically when the vehicle is towing a trailer or when a bicycle car-rier is fitted (vehicle fitted with towingattachment or bicycle carrier recom-mended by PEUGEOT).
In bad or wintry weather, ensure that the sensors are not covered with
mud, frost or snow. #+
The system is activated as soon as reverse gear is engaged; an audiblebleep shows that it is active. The proximity information is given by an audible signal, which becomesmore rapid as the vehicle approachesthe obstacle. When the distance between the rear of the vehicle and the obstacle isless than thirty centimetres, the audi-ble signal becomes continuous.
+
In neutral, the system is again inactive.
