FAMILIARISATION
Retractable roof Preliminary conditions
T u r n t h e i g n i t i o n k e y t o p o s i t i o n M .
B e a b s o l u t e l y c e r t a i n t h a t :
- the vehicle is not in "energy economy mode" (refer to the
c o r r e s p o n d i n g s e c t i o n ) ,
- t h e b a t t e r y v o l t a g e i s s u f i c i e n t (lighting of the indicator light on
t h e r o o f c o n t r o l b u t t o n ) ,
- the roof fuse is in good condition ( r e f e r t o t h e c o r r e s p o n d i n g
s e c t i o n ) ,
- t h e e l e c t r i c w i n d o w s a r e initialised (refer to the
c o r r e s p o n d i n g s e c t i o n ) ,
- t h e e x t e r i o r t e m p e r a t u r e i s higher than -20 °C.
I t i s a d v i s a b l e t o o p e r a t e t h e r o o f
w i t h t h e e n g i n e r u n n i n g .

W h e n o p e r a t i n g t h e r o o f w i t h
t h e e n g i n e o f f , i f t h e " e n e r g y
economy mode" is activated
( m e s s a g e o n t h e d i s p l a y ) t h e
m o v e m e n t o f t h e r o o f s t o p s .
Start the engine to exit "energy
e c o n o m y m o d e " a n d c o m p l e t e
the movement.
You are strongly advised not
t o o p e r a t e t h e r o o f i n s t r o n g
w i n d s .
W h e n w a s h i n g y o u r v e h i c l e :
- do not forget to lock it to
avoid any risk of automatic
p a r t i a l o p e n i n g o f t h e
w i n d o w s ,
- a v o i d s p r a y i n g t h e u p p e r p a r t o f t h e w i n d o w s ,
- k e e p t h e e n d o f t h e h i g h - p r e s s u r e n o z z l e a t
least 1 metre from the
w i n d o w s a n d d o o r s e a l s .
O p e r a t i o n o f t h e r o o f i s t h e s o l e
r e s p o n s i b i l i t y o f t h e d r i v e r .
W h e n o p e n i n g a n d c l o s i n g t h e
r o o f , t o a v o i d a n y r i s k o f i n j u r y ,
ensure that no one is in the vicin-
i t y o f t h e m o v i n g p a r t s .
Precautions to be taken before
operating the roof
Park the vehicle on level ground.
C h e c k t h a t n o o b j e c t c o u l d
h i n d e r t h e o p e r a t i o n o f t h e r o o f :
- n o t h i n g s h o u l d b e p l a c e d o n the moving rear shelf 1 , o n t h e
boot screen 2 or on or near the
hinged covers 3 ,
- i f l u g g a g e i s t r a n s p o r t e d i n t h e b o o t , t h i s m u s t n o t r a i s e t h e
b o o t s c r e e n ,
- a n y o b j e c t , s u c h a s a j a c k e t o r u m b r e l l a , p l a c e d i n t h e b o o t ,
must be retained by the lugga-
ge retaining net 4 .
Ensure that the boot screen 2 is
secured correctly.
Close the boot correctly.
