Precautions to be taken before
operating the roof
Park the vehicle on level ground.
C h e c k t h a t n o o b j e c t c o u l d h i n -
d e r t h e o p e r a t i o n o f t h e r o o f :
- n o t h i n g s h o u l d b e p l a c e d o n the moving rear shelf 1 , on the
boot screen 2 or on or near the
hinged covers 3 ,
- i f l u g g a g e i s t r a n s p o r t e d i n t h e boot, this must not raise the
boot screen,
- a n y o b j e c t , s u c h a s a j a c k e t o r u m b r e l l a , p l a c e d i n t h e b o o t ,
m u s t b e r e t a i n e d b y t h e l u g -
gage retaining net 4 .
Ensure that the boot screen 2
is secured correctly.
Close the boot correctly.

T o g u a r a n t e e c o r r e c t o p e r a t i o n ,
do not release the roof button
w h e n t h e r o o f i s i n a n i n t e r m e -
d i a t e p o s i t i o n ( n e i t h e r c o m -
p l e t e l y o p e n n o r c o m p l e t e l y
closed).
H o w e v e r , i f t h e r e i s a n y d a n g e r ,
release the roof button and the
m a n o e u v r e w i l l s t o p i n s t a n t l y .
O n c e t h e d a n g e r h a s b e e n e l i -
m i n a t e d , c o m p l e t e t h e r e q u i r e d
manoeuvre.
Maintenance
C a r r y o u t a c o m p l e t e r o o f o p e r a -
ting cycle at least once a month
t o k e e p i t i n p e r f e c t w o r k i n g o r -
der.
I f y o u c o n t i n u e t o p u l l o r p u s h
this button after the end of the
m a n o e u v r e , t h e f o u r w i n d o w s
rise. Change to "cabriolet"
c o n i g u r a t i o n
T h e f o u r w i n d o w s l o w e r , t h e b o o t
o p e n s , t h e h i n g e d c o v e r s u n f o l d , t h e
roof folds into the boot, the moving
r e a r s h e l f t a k e s u p i t s p o s i t i o n , t h e n
the boot closes.
C h a n g e t o " c o u p é c o n i g u r a t i o n "
T h e f o u r w i n d o w s l o w e r , t h e b o o t
o p e n s , t h e m o v i n g r e a r s h e l f a n d t h e
r o o f u n f o l d a n d t a k e u p t h e i r p o s i t i o n ,
the hinged covers fold, then the boot
closes.
Operating fault
I f a n e l e c t r i c a l o r h y d r a u l i c m a l -
function of the roof occurs,
s w i t c h o f f t h e i g n i t i o n , r e s t a r t t h e
e n g i n e , t h e n s t a r t t h e r e q u i r e d
manoeuvre again.
I f t h e p r o b l e m p e r s i s t s , c o n t a c t
a PEUGEOT dealer. T h e e l e c t r i c w i n d o w c o n t r o l s a r e
d e a c t i v a t e d d u r i n g o p e r a t i o n o f
the roof.
Opening the roof
Pull this button until the
e n d o f t h e r o o f o p e n i n g
manoeuvre.
Closing the roof
Push this button until the
end of the roof closing
manoeuvre.
Operating the retractable roof

Manual operation

mode (risk of condensation,
odour, humidity).
Press this button again as soon as
p o s s i b l e t o r e t u r n t o a u t o m a t i c o p -
eration of the air conditioning. The
"A/C" s y m b o l i s d i s p l a y e d .

Press the "small fan" button of the
a i r l o w 7 u n t i l t h e f a n s y m b o l d i s a p -
p e a r s .
T h i s a c t i o n s w i t c h e s o f f a l l o f t h e
f u n c t i o n s o f t h e a i r c o n d i t i o n i n g s y s -
t e m , w i t h t h e e x c e p t i o n o f t h e d e m i s t -
ing of the rear screen 9 .
T e m p e r a t u r e - r e l a t e d c o m f o r t i s n o
l o n g e r g u a r a n t e e d b u t a s l i g h t l o w o f
a i r , d u e t o t h e m o v e m e n t o f t h e v e h i -
cle, can still be felt.
Pressing the "large fan" button of
t h e a i r l o w 7 again or the AUTO b u t -
t o n a g a i n r e a c t i v a t e s t h e s y s t e m w i t h
t h e v a l u e s s e t b e f o r e i t w a s s w i t c h e d
off.
P r e s s t h i s b u t t o n t o r e c i r -
culate the interior air. The
air recirculation symbol
8 is
d i s p l a y e d .
A i r r e c i r c u l a t i o n p r e v e n t s
t h e e n t r y o f u n p l e a s a n t o d o u r s a n d
fumes from the outside.
A v o i d p r o l o n g e d r e c i r c u l a t i o n o f t h e
interior air (risk of condensation and
d e t e r i o r a t i o n o f t h e a i r q u a l i t y ) .
A s s o o n a s p o s s i b l e , p r e s s t h i s b u t -
t o n a g a i n t o p e r m i t t h e i n t a k e o f o u t -
s i d e a i r a n d p r e v e n t c o n d e n s a t i o n .
5. Air conditioning On/Off
P r e s s t h i s b u t t o n t o d e - i c e
t h e r e a r s c r e e n a n d t h e e x -
terior mirrors. The button 9
indicator light comes on.
T h e d e - i c i n g s y s t e m s w i t c h -
e s o f f a u t o m a t i c a l l y t o p r e -
v e n t a n e x c e s s i v e c o n s u m p t i o n o f
current.
I t i s p o s s i b l e t o s t o p t h e d e - i c i n g b e -
f o r e i t s w i t c h e s o f f a u t o m a t i c a l l y b y
p r e s s i n g t h e b u t t o n a g a i n .
Note: t h i s f u n c t i o n i s d i s a r m e d w h e n
the roof is stored in the boot.

- interior protection: it sounds if
t h e v o l u m e i n s i d e t h e p a s s e n g e r
c o m p a r t m e n t c h a n g e s ( b r e a k i n g
o f a w i n d o w o r a m o v e m e n t i n -
side the vehicle).
Note: t h e i n t e r i o r p r o t e c t i o n a l a r m
does not function if the vehicle's roof
i s o p e n ( c a b r i o l e t p o s i t i o n ) . W h e n t h e a l a r m i s t r i g g e r e d , t h e s i -
r e n s o u n d s a n d t h e d i r e c t i o n i n d i c a -
t o r l i g h t s l a s h f o r t h i r t y s e c o n d s .
After triggering, the alarm remains set.
S w i t c h o f f t h e i g n i t i o n ,
I n t h e n e x t t e n s e c o n d s , p r e s s
button A until the indicator light is
on continuously,
Get out of the vehicle,
S e t t h e a l a r m b y l o c k i n g o r d e a d -
locking using the remote control
(button A i n d i c a t o r l i g h t l a s h e s
once a second).
In order for the alarm to be set in
t h i s m o d e , t h e s e o p e r a t i o n s m u s t b e
carried out each time the ignition is
s w i t c h e d o f f .
Setting the alarm
S w i t c h o f f t h e i g n i t i o n a n d g e t o u t
of the vehicle.
S e t t h e a l a r m b y l o c k i n g o r d e a d -
locking using the remote control
(button A i n d i c a t o r l i g h t l a s h e s
o n c e p e r s e c o n d ) .
Note: i f y o u w i s h t o l o c k y o u r v e h i -
c l e w i t h o u t s e t t i n g t h e a l a r m , u s e t h e
door lock.
Disarming
U n l o c k t h e v e h i c l e w i t h t h e r e m o t e c o n t r o l
key (button A indicator light goes out).
Note: if the alarm has been triggered
w h i l e y o u w e r e a w a y f r o m y o u r v e h i c l e ,
t h e r a p i d l a s h i n g o f t h e i n d i c a t o r l i g h t w i l l
s t o p w h e n y o u s w i t c h o n t h e i g n i t i o n .
To set the alarm with exterior
protection only
I f , w h i l e y o u a r e a w a y f r o m t h e v e h i -
c l e , y o u w i s h t o l e a v e a w i n d o w p a r -
t i a l l y o p e n o r a p e t i n s i d e t h e v e h i c l e ,
y o u s h o u l d c h o o s e e x t e r i o r p r o t e c -
tion only.
Incorrect operation
W h e n t h e i g n i t i o n i s s w i t c h e d o n , i f
button A lights for ten seconds, there
is a fault in the siren connection.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer to have
the system checked.
Automatic activation *
T h e a l a r m i s a c t i v a t e d a u t o m a t i c a l l y t w o
minutes after the last closure of a door
or the boot.
In order to avoid accidental triggering
o f t h e a l a r m w h e n a d o o r o r t h e b o o t i s
o p e n e d , i t i s e s s e n t i a l t o i r s t p r e s s t h e
unlocking button on the remote control.
Failure of the remote control
U n l o c k t h e d o o r w i t h t h e k e y a n d
o p e n i t . T h e a l a r m i s t r i g g e r e d .
S w i t c h o n t h e i g n i t i o n . T h e a l a r m
is disarmed.
ALARM
If button A i n d i c a t o r l i g h t l a s h e s r a p i d -
l y , t h e a l a r m h a s b e e n t r i g g e r e d w h i l e
y o u w e r e a w a y f r o m y o u r v e h i c l e .
4 5 s e c o n d s f o l l o w i n g p r e s s i n g o f t h e
locking button on the remote control,
the alarm is set, regardless of the
status of the doors or boot.
W h e n w a s h i n g y o u r v e h i c l e , t o a v o i d
t r i g g e r i n g t h e a l a r m :
- l o c k t h e d o o r s u s i n g t h e k e y ,
or
-
s e t t h e e x t e r i o r p r o t e c t i o n a l a r m o n l y .
If the alarm has been triggered ten
t i m e s i n s u c c e s s i o n , o n t h e e l e v -
enth time it becomes inactive.

Special front windscreen
wiper position

Changing a wiper blade
L i f t t h e w i p e r a r m , t h e n u n c l i p t h e
blade and remove it.
F i t t h e n e w b l a d e a n d p u s h b a c k
the arm.
Note: t h e s h o r t e s t b l a d e i s i t t e d o n
t h e v e h i c l e ' s r i g h t - h a n d w i n d s c r e e n
w i p e r a r m .
To return the windscreen wipers to
their normal position, switch on the
ignition and operate the wiper stalk.
BATTERY
To charge the battery using a
battery charger:
- D i s c o n n e c t t h e b a t t e r y s t a r t i n g
w i t h t h e n e g a t i v e ( - ) t e r m i n a l ,
- F o l l o w t h e i n s t r u c t i o n s f o r u s e g i v e n b y t h e b a t t e r y c h a r g e r m a n u -
facturer,
- C h e c k t h a t t h e t e r m i n a l s a n d c o n n e c t o r s a r e c l e a n ; i f t h e y a r e
c o v e r e d w i t h s u l p h a t e ( w h i t e o r
g r e e n i s h d e p o s i t ) , d i s c o n n e c t
them and clean them,
- R e c o n n e c t t h e b a t t e r y s t a r t i n g w i t h t h e n e g a t i v e ( - ) t e r m i n a l .
It is advisable to disconnect the
battery if the vehicle is not to be
used for a period of more than
one month.
To start the vehicle from
another battery:
- C o n n e c t t h e r e d c a b l e t o t h e p o s i -
t i v e ( + ) t e r m i n a l s o f t h e t w o b a t t e r -
ies,
- C o n n e c t o n e e n d o f t h e g r e e n o r
b l a c k c a b l e t o t h e n e g a t i v e ( - ) t e r -
minal of the slave battery,
- C o n n e c t t h e o t h e r e n d o f t h e g r e e n o r b l a c k c a b l e t o a n e a r t h p o i n t o n
t h e b r o k e n d o w n v e h i c l e a s f a r a s
p o s s i b l e f r o m t h e b a t t e r y ,

O p e r a t e t h e s t a r t e r , l e t t h e e n g i n e r u n ,
- W a i t f o r t h e e n g i n e t o r e t u r n t o idle, then disconnect the cables.
WIPER BLADE
B e f o r e d i s c o n n e c t i n g t h e b a t -
t e r y , y o u m u s t w a i t f o r 2 m i n u t e s
a f t e r s w i t c h i n g o f f t h e i g n i t i o n .
Never disconnect a terminal
w h e n t h e e n g i n e i s r u n n i n g .
N e v e r c h a r g e a b a t t e r y w i t h o u t
i r s t d i s c o n n e c t i n g t h e t e r m i n a l s .
C l o s e t h e w i n d o w s , t h e r e t r a c t -
able roof and the doors before
disconnecting the battery. If the
w i n d o w s d o n o t o p e r a t e n o r m a l -
l y f o l l o w i n g r e c o n n e c t i o n o f t h e
battery, they must be reinitialised
( s e e s e c t i o n s " R e i n i t i a l i s a t i o n o f
t h e e l e c t r i c w i n d o w s " a n d " R e i n i -
t i a l i s a t i o n o f t h e a u t o m a t i c p a r t i a l
o p e n i n g o f t h e d o o r w i n d o w s " ) .
After every reconnection of the
b a t t e r y , s w i t c h o n t h e i g n i t i o n
a n d w a i t 1 m i n u t e b e f o r e s t a r t i n g
t o a l l o w t h e e l e c t r o n i c s y s t e m s t o
b e i n i t i a l i s e d . I f s l i g h t d i f i c u l t i e s
a r e e x p e r i e n c e d a f t e r t h i s , p l e a s e
contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
F o l l o w i n g d i s c o n n e c t i o n o f t h e
battery, the remote control key
a n d t h e G P S s a t e l l i t e n a v i g a -
tion system must be reinitialised

Changing a wiper blade
L i f t t h e w i p e r a r m , t h e n u n c l i p t h e
blade and remove it.
F i t t h e n e w b l a d e a n d p u s h b a c k
the arm.
Note: t h e s h o r t e s t b l a d e i s i t t e d o n
t h e v e h i c l e ' s r i g h t - h a n d w i n d s c r e e n
w i p e r a r m .
To return the windscreen wipers to
