Fastening the seat belts
P u l l t h e s t r a p , t h e n i n s e r t t h e b u c -
kle into the stalk.
C h e c k t h a t t h e s e a t b e l t i s f a s -
t e n e d b y p u l l i n g t h e s t r a p .
Unfastening the seat belts
W h e n t h e i g n i t i o n i s s w i t c h e d
o n , t h e w a r n i n g l i g h t c o m e s
o n o n t h e i n s t r u m e n t p a n e l
if the driver has not fastened
his seat belt.
With the engine running and the
d o o r s c l o s e d , t h e w a r n i n g l i g h t g o e s
off automatically after 30 seconds.
I f t h e s e a t b e l t i s u n f a s t e n e d :
- b e l o w 1 2 m p h ( 2 0 k m / h ) , t h e w a r n - ing light comes on constantly,
- a b o v e 1 2 m p h ( 2 0 k m / h ) a n d f o r t w o m i n u t e s , t h e w a r n i n g l i g h t
l a s h e s a c c o m p a n i e d b y a n a u -
dible signal of increasing volume.
O n c e t h e s e t w o m i n u t e s h a v e
e l a p s e d , t h e w a r n i n g l i g h t r e -
mains on until the driver fastens
his seat belt.

s o i n c r e a s i n g h i s p r o t e c t i o n .
