closed.
The air conditioning system does not
c o n t a i n c h l o r i n e a n d d o e s n o t p r e s e n t
any danger to the ozone layer.
O p e r a t e t h e a i r c o n d i t i o n i n g f o r 5 t o
1 0 m i n u t e s , o n c e o r t w i c e a m o n t h , t o
k e e p i t i n g o o d w o r k i n g o r d e r .
T h e w a t e r p r o d u c e d b y t h e a i r c o n -
ditioning condensation is discharged
t h r o u g h a n o p e n i n g p r o v i d e d f o r t h i s
p u r p o s e . T h e r e f o r e , a p u d d l e o f w a -
ter may form underneath the vehicle
w h e n s t a t i o n a r y .
I n o r d e r t o e n s u r e t h a t t h e a i r c o n d i -
t i o n i n g s y s t e m o p e r a t e s c o r r e c t l y , r e g -
ular checks are also recommended.
I f t h e s y s t e m d o e s n o t p r o d u c e
cold air, do not use it and contact a
PEUGEOT dealer.

ECONOMY MODE FUNCTION
A f t e r t h e e n g i n e h a s s t o p p e d , c e r t a i n
f u n c t i o n s ( w i n d s c r e e n w i p e r , e l e c -
t r i c w i n d o w s , c o u r t e s y l i g h t s , a u d i o
e q u i p m e n t , t e l e p h o n e , d i p p e d h e a d -
l a m p s , e t c . ) c a n o n l y b e u s e d f o r a
c o m b i n e d d u r a t i o n o f a p p r o x i m a t e l y
t h i r t y m i n u t e s , t o p r e v e n t d i s c h a r g i n g
the battery.
Once the thirty minutes are over, a
s w i t c h i n g t o e c o n o m y m o d e m e s -
s a g e a p p e a r s o n t h e m u l t i f u n c t i o n
d i s p l a y a n d t h e a c t i v e f u n c t i o n s a r e
p u t o n s t a n d b y .
T h e s e f u n c t i o n s a r e r e a c t i v a t e d a u -
t o m a t i c a l l y n e x t t i m e t h e v e h i c l e i s
driven.
In order to resume the use of these
functions immediately, the engine
must be started and left to run for a
f e w m i n u t e s .
T h e t i m e a v a i l a b l e t o y o u w i l l t h e n b e
d o u b l e t h e d u r a t i o n f o r w h i c h t h e e n -
g i n e i s l e f t r u n n i n g . H o w e v e r , t h i s p e -
r i o d w i l l a l w a y s b e b e t w e e n i v e a n d
thirty minutes. A l a t b a t t e r y p r e v e n t s t h e
engine from starting.
LOAD REDUCTION
FUNCTION
When driving, certain functions (air
conditioning, heated rear screen,
h e a t i n g s y s t e m f o r p a s s e n g e r c o m -
p a r t m e n t o f d i e s e l v e h i c l e s , e t c . ) m a y
b e s w i t c h e d o f f t e m p o r a r i l y , d e p e n d -
ing on the level of battery charge.
R e a c t i v a t i o n o f t h e s e f u n c t i o n s i s a u -
tomatic, once the battery charge is
s u f i c i e n t .
Note: at the risk of discharging the
battery, the functions that have been
s w i t c h e d o f f m a y b e r e a c t i v a t e d
manually.
