F o r m a x i m u m s a f e t y , p l e a s e f o l l o w
t h e s e p r e c a u t i o n s :

2003/20, all children under
the age of 12 or less than one
m e t r e i f t y * t a l l m u s t t r a v e l i n
approved child seats suited to
their weight , o n s e a t s i t t e d w i t h a
seat belt or ISOFIX mountings * ,
- statistically, the safest seats in
your vehicle for the transpor-
tation of children are the rear
seats,
- a child weighing less than 9 kg
must travel in the "rearwards-
facing" position both in the
front and in the rear.
PEUGEOT recommends t h a t c h i l -
dren should travel in the rear seats
o f y o u r v e h i c l e :
- "rearwards-facing" u p t o t h e

Installing a booster seat

E n s u r e t h a t t h e l a p p a r t o f t h e s e a t

The incorrect installation of a child

Remember to fasten the seat belts or
the child seat harnesses
keeping the
slack in relation to the child's body to
a m i n i m u m , e v e n f o r s h o r t j o u r n e y s .
F o r o p t i m u m i n s t a l l a t i o n o f t h e " f o r -
w a r d f a c i n g " c h i l d s e a t , e n s u r e t h a t
the back of the child seat is in contact

and that the head restraint does not

comes on.

Activation

o u s f r o n t i m p a c t a p p l i e d t o a l l o r p a r t
o f t h e f r o n t i m p a c t z o n e A , i n t h e l o n -
gitudinal centreline of the vehicle on a
h o r i z o n t a l p l a n e a n d d i r e c t e d f r o m t h e
front to the rear of the vehicle.
T h e f r o n t a i r b a g i n l a t e s b e t w e e n t h e
f r o n t o c c u p a n t o f t h e v e h i c l e a n d t h e
f a s c i a t o c u s h i o n h i s f o r w a r d m o v e -
ment. Deactivation

When you remove the child seat, turn

arm the air bag and so guarantee the

e v e n t o f a n i m p a c t .
Operating fault
I f t h i s w a r n i n g l i g h t c o m e s
o n o n t h e i n s t r u m e n t p a n e l ,
a c c o m p a n i e d b y a n a u d i b l e
w a r n i n g a n d a m e s s a g e o n
t h e m u l t i f u n c t i o n d i s p l a y ,
contact a PEUGEOT dealer to have
the system checked.
I f t h i s w a r n i n g l i g h t l a s h e s , c o n t a c t a

I f b o t h a i r b a g w a r n i n g l i g h t s
come on continuously, do not
install a "rear facing" child
