BONNET
Protects the components of the engine
and provides access for checking levels.
Push the exterior control B to the left
and raise the bonnet.
Unclip the strut C from its housing.
Fix the strut in the notch to hold the
bonnet open. Closing
Take the strut out of the support
notch.
Clip the strut in its housing.
Lower the bonnet and release it at
the end of its travel.
Pull on the bonnet to check that it is
secured correctly.
Opening
Open the front left door.
Pull the interior control A , located at
the bottom of the door frame. The location of the interior
control prevents opening of
the bonnet while the front left
door is closed.

Fixing the steel or "space-
saving" type spare wheel
I f y o u r v e h i c l e i s fi t t e d w i t h
a l l o y w h e e l s , i t i s n o r m a l t o n o t i c e ,
w h e n t i g h t e n i n g t h e b o l t s o n fi t t i n g ,
that the washers do not come into
contact with the steel or "space-sav-
ing" type spare wheel. The wheel
is secured by the conical contact of
each bolt.
Access to the spare wheel
The spare wheel is installed in the boot
u n d e r t h e fl o o r .
A c c o r d i n g t o c o u n t r y , t h e s p a r e w h e e l
m a y b e s t e e l , a l l o y o r o f t h e " s p a c e s a v -
ing" type.
T o g a i n a c c e s s t o i t , r e f e r t o t h e p a r a -

ous page.
Taking out the wheel
Unscrew the yellow central bolt.
R a i s e t h e s p a r e w h e e l t o w a r d s y o u
from the rear.
Take the wheel out of the boot.
Putting the wheel back in place
Put the wheel back in its housing.
Unscrew the yellow central bolt by a
few turns then put it in place in the
centre of the wheel.
Tighten fully until the central bolt
clicks to retain the wheel correctly.
P u t t h e b o x b a c k i n p l a c e i n t h e c e n -
tre of the wheel and clip it.
P u t t h e p o l y s t y r e n e s t o r a g e b o x
back in place.
T y r e u n d e r - i n fl a t i o n
detection
T h e s p a r e w h e e l i s n o t fi t t e d
with a sensor. The punctured wheel
m u s t b e r e p a i r e d b y a P E U G E O T
dealer.

TOWING THE VEHICLE
Access to the tools Towing your vehicle
O n t h e f r o n t b u m p e r , u n c l i p t h e
cover by pressing at the bottom.
Screw the towing eye in fully.
I n s t a l l t h e t o w b a r .
S w i t c h o n t h e h a z a r d w a r n i n g l i g h t s
on the towed vehicle.
O n t h e r e a r b u m p e r , u n c l i p t h e
cover by pressing at the bottom.
Screw the towing eye in fully.
I n s t a l l t h e t o w b a r .
S w i t c h o n t h e h a z a r d w a r n i n g l i g h t s
on the towed vehicle.
Towing another vehicle
The towing eye is installed in the boot
u n d e r t h e fl o o r .
T o g a i n a c c e s s t o i t :
o p e n t h e b o o t ,
r a i s e t h e fl o o r ,
secure it by hooking the cords on
t h e h o o k s o n t h e s h e l f s u p p o r t ,
r e m o v e t h e p o l y s t y r e n e b o x ,
remove the towing eye from the
holder. When towing with all four
w h e e l s o n t h e g r o u n d , a l w a y s
use a towbar.
When towing with only two wheels on
t h e g r o u n d , a l w a y s u s e p r o f e s s i o n a l
l i f t i n g e q u i p m e n t .
W h e n t o w i n g w i t h t h e e n g i n e o f f ,
there is no longer any braking or
steering assistance.
Place the gear lever in
neutral (position N on the
p i l o t e d m a n u a l g e a r b o x o r
a u t o m a t i c g e a r b o x ) .
Failure to observe this special
condition could result in dam-
age to certain braking com-
ponents and the absence of
b r a k i n g a s s i s t a n c e t h e n e x t
time the engine is started.
