Operating faults
If the electronic parking brake fault warning light comes on together with one or more of the warning lights presented in these
tables, place the vehicle in a safe condition (on level grou nd, gear engaged) and contact a PEUGEOT dealer without dela y.
Situations
Consequences
Displaying of the message " Parking
brake fault " and of the following warn-
ing lights: - The automatic functions are deactivated.
- The hill start assistance is not available.
- The electronic parking brake can only be used manually.
Displaying of the message " Parking
brake fault " and of the following warn-
ing lights: - Manual release of the electronic parking brake is only avai
lable by pressing
the accelerator pedal and releasing the control.
- The hill start assistance is not available.
- The automatic functions and the manual application are still available.
- The automatic functions are deactivated.
- The hill start assistance is not available. To apply the electronic parking brake:
Immobilise the vehicle and switch off the ignition,
pull the control for at least 5 seconds or until applicati on is complete,
switch on the ignition and check the switching on of the electronic parking
brake warning lights.
The application is slower than during normal operation.
To release the electronic parking brake:
Switch on the ignition,
pull the control and hold it for approximately 3 seconds.
I f t h e b r a k i n g w a r n i n g l i g h t i s fl a s h i n g o r i f t h e w a r n i n g l i g h t s d o n o t c o m e o n w i t h
the ignition on, these procedures will not work. Place the ve hicle on level ground
and have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer.

- The manual application/release of the electronic parking brake and the emer-
gency braking are not available.

Battery fault
- If the battery warning light comes on you must stop immedi ately as soon as
t h e t r a f fi c a l l o w s . S t o p a n d i m m o b i l i s e y o u r v e h i c l e ( i f n e c e s s a r y , p l a c e t h e t w o
chocks under the wheels).
- Apply the electronic parking brake before switching off the engine.

Model with xenon lights a

normal; it disappears after the lamps
have been on for a few minutes.

polycarbonate glass with a
p r o t e c t i v e c o a t i n g :
do not clean them using a dry
or abrasive cloth, nor with a
detergent or solvent product,
u s e a s p o n g e a n d s o a p y w a t e r ,
when using a high pressure wash-
e r o n p e r s i s t e n t m a r k s , d o n o t d i -
rect at the lamps or their outlines
f o r t o o l o n g , s o a s n o t t o d a m a g e
their coating and their seals.
Front lamps
Do not touch the bulb directly with
y o u r fi n g e r s , u s e l i n t - f r e e c l o t h s .
Changing a halogen bulb should only
be done after the headlamp has been
switched off for a few minutes (risk of
serious burns).
I t i s i m p e r a t i v e t o u s e o n l y a n t i - u l t r a -
violet (UV) type bulbs in order not to
damage the headlamp.

verse order.
