CHECKS
BONNET
Push the exterior safety catch B to
the left and raise the bonnet.
Unclip the stay C from its housing.
Fix the stay in the notch to hold the
bonnet open. Closing
Take the stay out of the support
notch.
Clip the stay in its housing.
Lower the bonnet and release it at
the end of its travel.
Pull on the bonnet to check that it is
secured correctly.
Opening
Open the front left door.
Pull the interior bonnet release
lever A , located at the bottom of the
door frame. The location of the interior
bonnet release lever prevents
opening of the bonnet while
the front left door is closed.
When the engine is hot, handle the
exterior safety catch and the bonnet
stay with care (risk of burns).

Parking the vehicle

Apply the parking brake unless it
has been programmed to automatic

Check that the braking warning lamp
and the P w a r n i n g l a m p o n t h e p a r k -
i n g b r a k e c o n t r o l c o m e o n .
I f n e c e s s a r y , p l a c e a c h o c k u n d e r t h e
wheel diagonally opposite the wheel
t o b e c h a n g e d .

Never go underneath a vehicle raised
u s i n g a j a c k ; u s e a n a x l e s t a n d .
Removing a wheel
List of operations
Remove the chromed bolt cover
from each of the bolts using the
tool 3 ( a c c o r d i n g t o e q u i p m e n t ) .
F i t t h e s e c u r i t y s o c k e t 5 on the
wheelbrace 1 to slacken the security
b o l t .
Slacken the other bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 o n l y .
Place the jack 2 in contact with one
of the two front A or rear B locations
p r o v i d e d o n t h e u n d e r b o d y , w h i c h -
ever is closest to the wheel to be
c h a n g e d .
E x t e n d t h e j a c k 2 until its base plate
i s i n c o n t a c t w i t h t h e g r o u n d . E n s u r e
that the centreline of the jack base
plate is directly below the location A
or B u s e d .
R a i s e t h e v e h i c l e u n t i l t h e r e i s s u f -
fi c i e n t s p a c e b e t w e e n t h e w h e e l a n d
the ground to admit the spare (not
p u n c t u r e d ) w h e e l e a s i l y .
Remove the bolts and store them in
a c l e a n p l a c e .
R e m o v e t h e w h e e l .

Fitting the "space-saver"
spare wheel
I f y o u r v e h i c l e i s fi t t e d w i t h a l -
l o y w h e e l s , w h e n t i g h t e n i n g t h e b o l t s
o n fi t t i n g i t i s n o r m a l t o n o t i c e t h a t t h e
washers do not come into contact
w i t h t h e " s p a c e - s a v e r " s p a r e w h e e l .
The wheel is secured by the conical
c o n t a c t o f e a c h b o l t .
Fitting a wheel

Put the wheel in place on the hub
using the centring guide 4 .
Screw in the bolts by hand to the
s t o p .
P r e - t i g h t e n t h e s e c u r i t y b o l t u s i n g
the wheelbrace 1 fi t t e d w i t h t h e
security socket 5 .
P r e - t i g h t e n t h e o t h e r b o l t s u s i n g t h e
wheelbrace 1 o n l y .
L o w e r t h e v e h i c l e f u l l y .
F o l d t h e j a c k 2 a n d d e t a c h i t .
Tighten the security bolt using the
wheelbrace 1 fi t t e d w i t h t h e s e c u r i t y
socket 5 .
Tighten the other bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 o n l y .
R e fi t t h e c h r o m e d b o l t c o v e r s o n
each of the bolts (according to
e q u i p m e n t ) .
S t o r e t h e t o o l s i n t h e b o x .
After changing a wheel
To store the punctured wheel in the
b o o t c o r r e c t l y , fi r s t r e m o v e t h e c e n t r a l
c o v e r .
W h e n u s i n g t h e " s p a c e - s a v e r " t y p e
s p a r e w h e e l , d o n o t e x c e e d 5 0 m p h
( 8 0 k m / h ) .
Have the tightening of the bolts and
the pressure of the spare wheel
c h e c k e d b y a P E U G E O T d e a l e r w i t h -
o u t d e l a y .
Have the punctured wheel repaired
and replace it on the vehicle as soon
a s p o s s i b l e .

When towing with only two wheels on

OPERATION OF THE SYSTEM
In an emergency, press this button for more than 2 seconds. Flashing of the green diode and a voice m e s s a g e c o n fi r m t h a t t h e c a l l h a s b e e n m a d e t o t h e PEUGEOT Emergency team * .
Pressing this button again immediately cancels the request. The green diode switches off.
T h e g r e e n d i o d e r e m a i n s o n ( w i t h o u t fl a s h i n g ) w h e n c o m m u n i c a t i o n i s established. It switches off at the end of communication.
This call is dealt with by the PEUGEOT Emergency team which receives locating information from the vehicle and can send a detailed alert to the appropriate emergency services. In countries in whi ch the team is not operational, or when the locating service has been expressly refused, t h e c a l l i s d e a l t w i t h d i r e c t l y b y t h e e m e r g e n c y s e r v i c e s ( 1 1 2 ) w i t h o u t t h e vehicle location.
If an impact is detected by the airbag ECU, and independently of any triggering of the airbags, an emergency call is mad e automatically.

When the ignition is switched on, the green indicator lamp comes on for 3 seconds indicating that the system is operating correctly.
I f t h e o r a n g e i n d i c a t o r l a m p fl a s h e s : t h e r e i s a system malfunction. I f t h e o r a n g e i n d i c a t o r l a m p i s l i t c o n t i n u o u s l y : the backup battery must be replaced. In both cases, consult a PEUGEOT dealer.
