RUNNING OUT OF FUEL (DIESEL)
I f y o u r v e h i c l e i s fi t t e d w i t h a n H D I e n -
gine, the fuel circuit must be reprimed if
you run out of fuel.
This system consists of a repriming
pump, a transparent pipe and a degas
screw under the bonnet (refer to the
corresponding graphic). 2 litre Turbo HDI 16V engine
F i l l t h e f u e l t a n k w i t h a t l e a s t fi v e l i -
tres of diesel.
Open the bonnet.
Unclip the style cover to gain access
to the repriming pump.
Slacken the degas screw.
Squeeze and release the repriming
pump until fuel appears in the trans-
parent pipe with the green connector.
Retighten the degas screw.
Operate the starter until the engine
starts.
Put the style cover back in position
and clip it in place.
Close the bonnet.
If the engine does not start at the
fi r s t a t t e m p t , d o n o t t r y a g a i n .
Operate the repriming pump again,
then the starter.

The quality of the fuel used for Diesel engines
The Diesel engines are perfectly compatible with b iofuels which comply with current and future Europe an standards (diesel fuel
which complies with standard EN 590 mixed with a bi ofuel which complies with standard EN 14214) which can be distributed at
the pumps (possible incorporation of 0 to 7 % of Fa tty Acid Methyl Ester).
The use of any other type of (bio) fuel (vegetable or animal oils, domestic fuel, etc.) is strictly prohibited (risks of damage t o
the engine and to the fuel circuit).
