LAYOUT
Hooked onto the stowing rings, this en-
ables you to secure your luggage.
Luggage retaining net
Raise the boot carpet to gain access
to the storage box.
Hook the boot carpet on the boot
seal using its handle.
This has areas for storing the windstop
and two warning triangles.
By removing this box you gain access
to the puncture repair kit and the tools.

When the boot screen is unfolded,
check that the luggage:
- never raises it,
- is never placed on top of it.
The load space cover must always
be unfolded before a roof opening
manoeuvre is triggered (refer to the
"Familiarisation - § Opening" section).

The driver must ensure that passen-
gers use the seat belts correctly and
that they are all restrained securely
before setting off.
Wherever you are seated in the ve-
hicle, always fasten your seat belt,
even for short journeys.
Do not invert the seat belt buckles as
t h e y w i l l n o t f u l fi l t h e i r r o l e f u l l y .
T h e s e a t b e l t s a r e fi t t e d w i t h a n i n e r t i a
reel permitting automatic adjustment
of the length of the strap to your size.
The seat belt is stored automatically
when not in use.
Before and after use, ensure that the
seat belt is rolled up correctly.
The lower part of the strap must be
positioned as low as possible on the
pelvis.
The upper part must be positioned in
the hollow of the shoulder.
T h e i n e r t i a r e e l s a r e fi t t e d w i t h a n a u -
tomatic locking device which comes
into operation in the event of a colli-
sion, emergency braking or if the ve-
hicle rolls over. You can release the
device by pulling rapidly on the strap
and releasing it. In order to be effective, a seat belt:
- must be tightened as close to the
body as possible,
- must restrain one person of adult size only,
- must not bear any trace of cuts or fraying,
- must be pulled in front of you with a smooth movement, checking
that it does not twist,
- must not be transformed or modi- fi e d t o a v o i d a l t e r i n g i t s p e r f o r m -
ance.
In accordance with current safety reg-
ulations, all repairs and checks must
be carried out by a PEUGEOT dealer
who guarantees that the work is car-
ried out correctly.
Have your seat belts checked regu-
larly by a PEUGEOT dealer and par-
ticularly if the straps show signs of
damage.
Clean the seat belt straps with soapy
water or a textile cleaning product,
sold by PEUGEOT dealers.
After folding or moving a seat or rear
bench seat, ensure that the seat belt
is positioned and rolled up correctly. Recommendations for children
Use a suitable child seat if the pas-
senger is less than 12 years old or
s h o r t e r t h a n o n e m e t r e fi f t y .
Never use the same seat belt to se-
cure more than one person.
Never allow a child to travel on your
lap.
Depending on the nature and se-
riousness of the impacts , the pre-
tensioning device may be triggered
before and independently of the air
bags. Triggering of the pre-tensioners
is accompanied by a slight discharge
of harmless smoke and a noise, due
to the activation of the pyrotechnic
cartridge incorporated in the system.
In all cases, the air bag warning light
comes on.
Following an impact, have the seat
belts system checked, and if neces-
sary replaced, by a PEUGEOT dealer.

In accordance with European regulations, this table indicates the options for the installation of child seats secured using the
seat belt and universally approved (a) in relation to the weight of the child and the seat i n the vehicle
(a) Universal child seat: child seat which can be installed in a ll vehicles using the seat belt.
(b) Group 0: from birth to 10 kg. Infant car seats and "car" cots cann ot be installed on the front passenger seat.
(c) Consult the legislation in force in your country before insta lling your child on this seat.
(d) To install a child seat, move the front seat forward, then put the seat back in the upright position to leave enough space for
the child seat and the child’s legs. The front seat can be moved further forward than the intermediate longitudinal position.

CHECKS
BONNET
Protects the components of the engine
and provides access for checking levels.
Push the exterior control B to the left
and raise the bonnet.
Unclip the strut C from its housing.
Fix the strut in the notch to hold the
bonnet open. Closing
Take the strut out of the support
notch.
Clip the strut in its housing.
Lower the bonnet and release it at
the end of its travel.
Pull on the bonnet to check that it is
secured correctly.
Opening
Open the front left door.
Pull the interior control A , located at
the bottom of the door frame. The location of the interior control
prevents opening of the bonnet
while the front left door is closed.

Fixing the steel spare wheel
I f y o u r v e h i c l e i s fi t t e d w i t h a l l o y
wheels, it is normal to notice, when
t i g h t e n i n g t h e b o l t s o n fi t t i n g , t h a t
the washers do not come into con-
t a c t w i t h t h e s t e e l s p a r e w h e e l . T h e
wheel is secured by the conical
c o n t a c t o f e a c h b o l t .
Access to the spare wheel
The spare wheel is installed in the boot
u n d e r t h e fl o o r .
