MULTIFUNCTION DISPLAYS
16/9 HIGH DEFINITION RETRACTABLE COLOUR DISPLAY (WITH PC COM 3D)
Displays on the screen
When the screen is unfolded, it displays
the following information automatically
and directly:
- the time,
- the date,
- the altitude,
- the exterior temperature (the value d i s p l a y e d fl a s h e s i f t h e r e i s a r i s k o f
ice),
- the accesses check,
- the warning and vehicle function status messages, displayed tempo-
rarily,
- the audio functions,
- the telephone and address book in- formation,
- the satellite navigation system infor- mation. Controls
From the PC Com 3D control panel, to
select one of the applications:
press the dedicated "RADIO" ,
"MEDIA" , "NAV" , "TRAFFIC" ,
"ADDR BOOK" or "SETUP" button
to gain access to the corresponding
menu,
turn the navigator to move the se-
lection,
p r e s s t h e n a v i g a t o r t o c o n fi r m t h e
selection,
or
press the "ESC" button to abandon
the current operation and return to
the previous display. For operation of the retractable dis-
play (opening, closing, adjustment
of the position, etc.), refer to the
paragraph "Access to the retractable
display".
For further details concerning these ap-
plications, refer to the PC Com 3D part
of the "Audio and Telematics" section.

COMFORT
The air conditioning system does
not contain chlorine and does not
present any danger to the ozone
layer.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR VENTILATION AND AIR CONDITIONING
In order for these systems to be fully effective, follow the o peration and main-
tenance rules below:
If the interior temperature remains very high after the vehicle has been
parked in the sun for a considerable time, do not hesitate t o ventilate the
passenger compartment for a few minutes.
P l a c e t h e a i r fl o w c o n t r o l a t a s u f fi c i e n t l e v e l t o p r o v i d e a n a d e q u a t e
renewal of air in the passenger compartment.
To obtain an even air distribution, take care not to obst ruct the exterior air
intake grilles located at the base of the windscreen, the n ozzles, the vents
and the air outlets, as well as the air extractor located in the boot.
Do not cover the sunshine sensor, located on the fascia; th is is used for
regulation of the air conditioning system.
Operate the air conditioning system for 5 to 10 minutes, on ce or twice a
month to keep it in perfect working order.
E n s u r e t h a t t h e p a s s e n g e r c o m p a r t m e n t fi l t e r i s i n g o o d c o n d i t i o n a n d
h a v e t h e fi l t e r e l e m e n t s r e p l a c e d r e g u l a r l y ( r e f e r t o t h e " C h e c k s " s e c t i o n ) .
W e r e c o m m e n d t h e u s e o f a c o m b i n e d p a s s e n g e r c o m p a r t m e n t fi l t e r .
T h a n k s t o i t s s e c o n d s p e c i a l a c t i v e fi l t e r , i t c o n t r i b u t e s t o t h e p u r i fi c a t i o n
of the air breathed by the occupants and the cleanness of th e passenger
compartment (reduction of allergic symptoms, bad odours and greasy de-
posits).
To guarantee correct operation of the air conditioning syste m, you are also
advised to have it checked regularly.
If the system does not produce cold air, do not use it and contact a
PEUGEOT dealer.
I n t h e " c a b r i o l e t " c o n fi g u r a t i o n , i n s t a l l i n g t h e w i n d s t o p a n d u s i n g t h e " A I R W A V E " systems improves comfort.
When towing the maximum load on a steep gradient in high temperatures,
switching off the air conditioning permits the recovery of engi ne power and
therefore improvement of the towing capacity.
The condensation created by the air conditioning results in a discharge of
water under the vehicle which is perfectly normal.

COMFORT
Engage the shafts of the windstop
frame in the openings in the rear
side trim so that the red indicators
are concealed.
W h e n i n s t a l l i n g t h e w i n d s t o p f o r t h e fi r s t
time:
position a size 10 open-ended span-
ner on the hexagonal part of the shaft,
tighten or slacken without forcing on
each side to adjust the depth setting.
Lastly, always check that the wind-
stop is retained securely before use
i n t h e " c a b r i o l e t " c o n fi g u r a t i o n .
Removal
Press and pull on the shaft supports
to release the shafts from the open-
ings in the rear side trim; the red
indicators then become visible. It is not necessary to remove the
windstop when operating the roof.

ACCESS
Triggering of the alarm
This is indicated by sounding of the
s i r e n a n d fl a s h i n g o f t h e d i r e c t i o n i n d i -
cators for approximately thirty seconds.
After it has been triggered, the alarm is
again operational. If the alarm is triggered ten times in
succession, the eleventh time will
result in it becoming inactive.
If the indicator light on button A
fl a s h e s r a p i d l y , t h i s i n d i c a t e s t h a t
the alarm was triggered during
your absence. When the ignition
i s s w i t c h e d o n , t h i s fl a s h i n g s t o p s
immediately.
To avoid triggering the alarm when
washing your vehicle, lock it using
the key.
Do not activate the alarm before
disconnecting the battery, other-
wise the siren will sound. Failure of the remote control
Unlock the vehicle using the key in
the driver's door lock.
Open the door; the alarm is triggered.
Switch on the ignition; the alarm
stops.

Malfunction
When the ignition is switched on, lighting
of the indicator light on button
A for ten
seconds indicates a siren fault.
Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer.
Locking the vehicle without alarm
Lock or deadlock the vehicle using
the key in the driver's door lock. Automatic operation *
Depending on the legislation in force in
your country, one of these cases may
occur:
- 45 seconds after the vehicle is
locked using the remote control, the
alarm is activated, regardless of the
status of the doors and boot.
- 2 minutes after the last door or the boot is closed, the alarm is
activated.
To avoid triggering the alarm on
e n t e r i n g t h e v e h i c l e , fi r s t p r e s s t h e
unlocking button on the remote
control.

ACCESS
The key cannot be removed from
the lock until the cap is put back on
the tank.
FUEL TANK
Capacity of the tank: approximately
60 litres.
T o fi l l t h e t a n k s a f e l y :
it is essential that the engine is
switched off,
o p e n t h e f u e l fi l l e r fl a p ,
insert the key in the cap, then turn it
to the left,
W h e n fi l l i n g i s c o m p l e t e :
put the cap back in place,
turn the key to the right, then remove
it from the cap,
c l o s e t h e fl a p .
remove the cap and secure it on the
hook, located on the inside of the
fl a p ,
fi l l t h e t a n k , b u t do not continue
after the 3rd cut-off of the nozzle ;
this could cause malfunctions.
Low fuel level
Filling
A l a b e l a f fi x e d t o t h e i n s i d e o f t h e fl a p
reminds you of the type of fuel to be
used according to your engine.
Operating fault
A fuel gauge malfunction is indicated by
the return of the fuel level indicator nee-
dle to zero.
Consult a PEUGEOT dealer. When the fuel tank minimum
level is reached, this warning
light comes on on the instru-
ment panel, accompanied by
an audible signal and a message on the
multifunction display.
You have enough fuel left to drive
approximately 30 miles (50 km).
If you run out of fuel, refer to the
"Checks - § Running out of fuel" section
also.

Windscreen and headlamp
wash
Pull the windscreen wiper stalk
towards you. The windscreen wash
then the windscreen wipers operate
f o r a fi x e d p e r i o d .
If the dipped headlamps are on, the
headlamp washers operate at the same
time.
Screenwash/headlamp wash low
I n t h e c a s e o f v e h i c l e s fi t t e d w i t h
headlamp washers, when the
minimum level of the reservoir is
reached, this warning light and/
or the service warning light is displayed
on the instrument panel, accompanied
by an audible signal and a message on
the multifunction display.

headlamp wash reservoir.
The warning light is displayed when the
ignition is switched on, or every time the

Automatic windscreen wiping
The windscreen wipers operate auto-
matically, without any action on the part
of the driver, if rain is detected (sensor
b e h i n d t h e i n t e r i o r m i r r o r ) , a d a p t i n g t h e i r
speed to the intensity of the rainfall.
Activation
This is controlled manually by the driver by
pushing stalk A to the "AUTO" position.
It is accompanied by a message on the
multifunction screen.
Do not cover the rain sensor, linked
with the brightness sensor and
located in the centre of the wind-
screen behind the interior mirror.
Switch off the automatic wiping when
using an automatic car wash.
In winter, it is advisable to wait until
the windscreen is completely clear
of ice before activating the auto-
matic wiping. The automatic wiping must be reac-
tivated if the ignition has been off for
more than one minute, by pushing
stalk
A downwards.
Switching off
This is controlled manually by the driver
by moving stalk A upwards and returning
it to position "0" .
It is accompanied by a message on the
multifunction screen. Operating fault
If an automatic wiping malfunction occurs,
the wipers will operate in intermittent
mode.
Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer.

Storage area, located at the rear of the
front armrest, for the rear passengers.
To empty the box, after opening,
press the tab and remove it.
To avoid any risk of jamming of the
pedals:
- only use mats which are suited t o t h e fi x i n g s a l r e a d y p r e s e n t i n
t h e v e h i c l e ; i t i s i m p e r a t i v e t h a t
these are used,
- n e v e r fi t o n e m a t o n t o p o f a n - other.
MATS
Removable component which protects
the carpet against exterior dirt. Refitting
T o r e fi t t h e m a t o n t h e d r i v e r ' s s i d e :
position the mat correctly,
r e fi t t h e fi x i n g s b y p r e s s i n g ,
check that the mat is secured cor-
rectly.
Fitting
W h e n fi t t i n g t h e m a t f o r t h e fi r s t t i m e ,
o n t h e d r i v e r ' s s i d e , u s e o n l y t h e fi x i n g s
provided in the wallet attached.
The other mats are simply placed on
the carpet. Removal
To remove the mat on the driver's side:
move the seat as far back as pos-
sible,
u n c l i p t h e fi x i n g s ,
remove the mat.
12 V ACCESSORIES SOCKET
To connect a 12 V accessory (max
power: 120 Watts), remove the cover
and connect a suitable adaptor.
ASHTRAY WITH LIGHT
Pull the drawer to gain access to the
ashtray.
To empty the ashtray, after opening,
press the tab and remove the ashtray.

LAYOUT
Hooked onto the stowing rings, this ena-
bles you to secure your luggage.
Luggage retaining net
Raise the boot carpet to gain access
to the storage box.
Hook the boot carpet on the boot
seal using its handle.
This has areas for storing the windstop
and two warning triangles.
By removing this box you gain access
to the temporary tyre repair kit and the
tools.

When the boot screen is unfolded,
check that the luggage:
- never raises it,
- is never placed on top of it.
The load space cover must always
be unfolded before a roof opening
manoeuvre is triggered (refer to the
"Familiarisation - § Opening" section).
