Locating your vehicle
Press the closed padlock to locate
your locked vehicle in a car park.
This is indicated by lighting of the cour-
tesy lights and dipped headlamps and
fl a s h i n g o f t h e d i r e c t i o n i n d i c a t o r s f o r a
few seconds. Lost keys
Visit a PEUGEOT dealer with the vehi-
c l e ’ s V 5 r e g i s t r a t i o n c e r t i fi c a t e a n d y o u r
p e r s o n a l i d e n t i fi c a t i o n d o c u m e n t s .
Your PEUGEOT dealer will be able to re-
trieve the key code and the transponder
code to order a replacement key.
Electronic engine immobiliser
The key contains an electronic chip
which has a special code. When the
ignition is switched on, this code must
be recognised in order for starting to be
possible.
This electronic engine immobiliser locks
the engine management system a few
minutes after the ignition is switched off
and prevents starting of the engine by
anyone who does not have the key.
Anti-theft protection
In the event of a malfunction,
you are informed by lighting of
this warning light, an audible
signal and a message on the
multifunction display.
In this case, your vehicle does not start;
contact a PEUGEOT dealer as soon as
possible.
Folding the key
First press button A to fold the key.

Key reminder
If the key is left in the ignition switch,
an audible signal sounds when the
driver’s door is opened.
Starting the vehicle
Insert the key in the ignition switch.
The system recognises the starting code.
Turn the key fully towards the fascia
to position 3 (Starting) .
When the engine starts, release the
key.
Switching the vehicle off
Immobilise the vehicle.
Turn the key fully towards you to
position 1 (Stop) .
Remove the key from the ignition
switch. Remote control problem
Following disconnection of the vehicle
battery, replacement of the remote con-
trol battery or in the event of a remote
control malfunction, you can no longer
unlock, lock or locate your vehicle.
First of all, use the key in the lock to
unlock or lock your vehicle.
Then, reinitialise the remote control.
If the problem persists, contact a PEUGEOT
dealer as soon as possible.
Changing the battery
Battery ref.: CR1620/3 volts.
Reinitialisation
Switch off the ignition.
Turn the key to position 2 (Ignition) .
Press the closed padlock immedi-
ately for a few seconds.
Switch off the ignition and remove
the key from the ignition switch.
The remote control is fully operational
again. I f t h e b a t t e r y i s fl a t , y o u a r e i n f o r m e d b y
lighting of this warning light, an audible
signal and a message on the multifunc-
tion display.
Unclip the casing using a coin at the
notch.
S l i d e t h e fl a t b a t t e r y o u t o f i t s
location.
Slide the new battery into its location
observing the original direction.
Clip the casing.
Reinitialise the remote control. This replacement battery is avail-
able from PEUGEOT dealers.

DOORS
After unlocking the vehicle com-
pletely using the remote control or
the key, pull the door handle. From inside
Pull the front door control to open
the door; this unlocks this vehicle
completely.
Pull the rear door control to open
the door; this unlocks the door
concerned only. The interior door controls do not
operate when the vehicle is dead-
locked.
Closing
When a door is not closed correctly: - when the engine is running,
this warning light comes on,
accompanied by a message
on the multifunction display
for a few seconds,
- when the vehicle is moving (speed
higher than 6 mph (10 km/h)), this
warning light comes on, accompanied
by an audible signal and a message
on the multifunction display for a few
seconds.
When the selective unlocking is ac-
t i v a t e d , t h e fi r s t p r e s s o f t h e r e m o t e
control unlocking button permits
unlocking of the driver’s door only. With the selective unlocking acti-
vated:
- the driver’s door control unlocks
the driver’s door only.
- the other door controls unlock the other doors and the boot.

the lock until the cap is put back on
the tank.
FUEL TANK
Capacity of the tank: approximately
60 litres.

switched off,

insert the key in the cap, then turn it
to the left,
W h e n fi l l i n g i s c o m p l e t e :
put the cap back in place,
turn the key to the right, then remove
it from the cap,
c l o s e t h e fl a p .
remove the cap and secure it on the
hook, located on the inside of the
fl a p ,
fi l l t h e t a n k , b u t do not continue
after the 3rd cut-off of the nozzle ;
this could cause malfunctions.
Low fuel level
Filling
A l a b e l a f fi x e d t o t h e i n s i d e o f t h e fl a p
reminds you of the type of fuel to be
used according to your engine.
Operating fault
A fuel gauge malfunction is indicated by
the return of the fuel level indicator nee-
dle to zero.
Consult a PEUGEOT dealer. When the fuel tank minimum
level is reached, this warning
light comes on on the instru-
ment panel, accompanied by
an audible signal and a message on the
multifunction display.
You have enough fuel left to drive ap-
proximately 30 miles (50 km).
If you run out of fuel, refer to the "Practical
information" section also.

In this position, the courtesy
light comes on gradually:
Map reading lights
With the ignition on, press the
corresponding switch.
In permanent lighting mode, differ-
ent lighting times are available:
- w i t h t h e i g n i t i o n o f f , a p p r o x i m a t e l y ten minutes,
- in energy economy mode, a p p r o x i m a t e l y t h i r t y s e c o n d s ,
-
with the engine running, unlimited.
- when the vehicle is unlocked,
- when the key is removed from the
ignition,
- when a door is opened,
- when the remote control locking button is activated, in order to locate
your vehicle.
Permanently off.
Permanent lighting. When the front courtesy light is in
the "permanent lighting" position,
the rear courtesy light will also
come on, unless it is in the "perma-
nently off" position.
To switch off the rear courtesy light,
place it in the "permanently off" po-
sition.
Rear side reading lights
W i t h t h e i g n i t i o n o n , t h e fi r s t p r e s s o f
the corresponding switch switches
on the reading light concerned in
permanent lighting mode.
Following a second press, it comes on: - when the vehicle is unlocked,
- when the key is removed from the
ignition,
- when a door is opened,
- when the remote control locking button is pressed, in order to
locate your vehicle.
It switches off gradually:
- when the vehicle is locked,
- when the ignition is switched on,
- 30 seconds after the last door is closed.
Take care not to place anything in
contact with the courtesy lights.

VISIBILITY
AMBIENT LIGHTING
The dimmed passenger compartment
lighting improves visibility in the vehicle
when the light is poor. Different lighting times are available:
- w h e n t h e i g n i t i o n i s o f f , a p p r o x i -mately ten minutes,
- in energy economy mode, a p p r o x i m a t e l y t h i r t y s e c o n d s ,
- when the engine is running, no limit.
This comes on automatically when the
boot is opened and switches off auto-
matically when the boot is closed.
INTERIOR WELCOME LIGHTING
The remote switching on of the passen-
ger compartment lighting makes your
approach to the vehicle easier in poor
light when in automatic switching on of
the lights mode.
BOOT LIGHTING
Switching on
Press the open padlock on the
remote control.
The front and rear door sill lighting, the
footwell lighting and the courtesy lights
come on; your vehicle is also unlocked.
Switching off
The interior welcome lighting switches off
automatically after a set time or when
one of the doors is opened.
Programming

At night, the footwell lighting and the
front courtesy light ambient lamp

come on automatically when the side
lights are switched on.
Switching off
The ambient lighting switches off auto-
matically when the dipped headlamps
are switched off.
Programming
The duration of the welcome light-
ing is associated with and identical
to that of the automatic follow-me-
home lighting.
The function is activated or
deactivated via the multi-
f u n c t i o n d i s p l a y c o n fi g u r a -
tion menu.
This function is activated
by default. The duration of maintaining
of the lighting is selected
via the multifunction dis-
p l a y c o n fi g u r a t i o n m e n u .
