CRUISE CONTROL
System which automatically maintains
the speed of the vehicle at the value
programmed by the driver, without any
action on the accelerator pedal.
The cruise control is switched on
manually: it requires a minimum vehicle
s p e e d o f 2 5 m p h ( 4 0 k m / h ) a n d t h e e n -
gaging:
- o f f o u r t h g e a r o n t h e m a n u a l g e a r b o x ,
- of second gear on the electronic gear c o n t r o l g e a r b o x o r a u t o m a t i c g e a r -
b o x , i n s e q u e n t i a l d r i v i n g m o d e ,
- of position A on the electronic gear
c o n t r o l g e a r b o x o r D on the auto-
m a t i c g e a r b o x . The controls of this system are grouped
together on lever

The cruise control cannot, in any
circumstances, replace the need
to respect speed limits, nor can it
replace the need for vigilance and
responsibility on the part of the
driver.
The cruise control is switched off manu-
ally or by pressing the brake or clutch
pedal or on triggering of the ESP system
for safety reasons.
I t i s p o s s i b l e t o e x c e e d t h e p r o g r a m m e d
speed temporarily by pressing the ac-
celerator pedal.
To return to the programmed speed,
simply release the accelerator pedal.
Switching off the ignition cancels any
programmed speed value.

REAR PARKING SENSORS
S y s t e m c o n s i s t i n g o f f o u r p r o x i m i t y s e n -
sors, located in the rear bumper.
This detects any obstacle (person, ve-
h i c l e , t r e e , g a t e , e t c . ) b e h i n d t h e v e h i c l e ,
e x c e p t o b s t a c l e s l o c a t e d j u s t b e l o w t h e
bumper. A n o b j e c t , s u c h a s a s t a k e , a r o a d -
works cone or any other similar
o b j e c t m a y b e d e t e c t e d a t t h e b e -
ginning of the manoeuvre, but may
no longer be detected when the
vehicle comes close to it.
The parking sensor system can-
not, in any circumstances, take
the place of the vigilance and re-
sponsibility of the driver. Activation
The system is activated as soon as re-
verse gear is engaged, accompanied
b y a n a u d i b l e s i g n a l . T h e p r o x i m i t y i n -
formation is given by:
- an audible signal, which becomes
more rapid as the vehicle approaches the obstacle.
- a graphic on the multifunction screen, with blocks which become
increasingly closer to the vehicle. When the distance between the rear of
the vehicle and the obstacle is less than
thirty centimetres, the audible signal be-
comes continuous and the "Danger" sym-
bol appears on the multifunction screen.
On completion of the manoeuvre, when
y o u e x i t r e v e r s e g e a r , t h e s y s t e m b e -
comes inactive.
Programming
You can activate or deactivate the
system by means of the multifunction
s c r e e n c o n fi g u r a t i o n m e n u . T h e s y s t e m
state is memorised when switching off
the ignition.
For more information on access to the
parking assistance menu, refer to ve-
h i c l e c o n fi g u r a t i o n i n t h e " M u l t i f u n c t i o n
screens" section corresponding to your
screen.
The system will be deactivated auto-
matically when towing a trailer or when
a b i c y c l e c a r r i e r i s fi t t e d ( v e h i c l e fi t t e d
with a towbar or bicycle carrier recom-
m e n d e d b y P E U G E O T ) .
Operating faults If there is an operating fault,
when reverse gear is engaged
this warning lamp comes on on
the instrument panel, accompa-
n i e d b y a n a u d i b l e s i g n a l ( s h o r t b e e p )
and a message on the multifunction
screen.
In bad or wintry weather, ensure that
the sensors are not covered with mud,
frost or snow.

CHECKS
CHECKING LEVELS
Check all of these levels regularly and
top them up if necessary, unless other-
wise indicated.
I f a l e v e l d r o p s s i g n i fi c a n t l y , h a v e t h e
corresponding system checked by a
PEUGEOT dealer. Brake fluid level
In addition, as the cooling system is
pressurised, wait at least one hour after
switching off the engine before carrying
out any work.
To avoid any risk of scalding, unscrew
the cap by two turns to allow the pres-
sure to drop. When the pressure has
dropped, remove the cap and top up
the level.
Oil level The reading will only be correct
if the vehicle is on level ground
and the engine has been off for
more than 15 minutes.
The check is carried out either
when the ignition is switched on using
the oil level indicator on the instrument
panel, or using the dipstick. T h e b r a k e fl u i d l e v e l s h o u l d b e
close to the "MAX" mark. If it is
not, check the brake pad wear.
C h a n g i n g t h e fl u i d
Refer to the Warranty and Maintenance
Record for details of the interval for this
operation.
Power steering fluid level T h e p o w e r s t e e r i n g fl u i d l e v e l
should be close to the "MAX"
mark. Unscrew the cap, with the
engine cold, to check the level. Screenwash and headlamp
wash fluid
I n t h e c a s e o f v e h i c l e s fi t t e d w i t h
headlamp washers, the mini-
m u m l e v e l o f t h i s fl u i d i s i n d i -
cated by an audible signal and a
message on the multifunction screen.
Top up the level when you stop the ve-
hicle.
Engine oil change
Refer to the Warranty and Maintenance
Record for details of the interval for this
operation.
In order to maintain the reliability of the
engine and emission control system,
the use of additives in the engine oil is
prohibited.
O i l s p e c i fi c a t i o n
The oil must correspond to your engine
and conform to the manufacturer's re-
commendations. F l u i d s p e c i fi c a t i o n

Changing the coolant
The coolant does not have to be
changed.
F l u i d s p e c i fi c a t i o n
For optimum cleaning and to avoid
f r e e z i n g , t h i s fl u i d m u s t n o t b e t o p p e d
up with or replaced with water.
Coolant level
The coolant level should be
close to the "MAX" mark but
should never exceed it.
When the engine is warm, the tempera-
ture of the coolant is regulated by the fan.
This can operate with the ignition off.

operate after the vehicle has been

The coolant must conform to the manu-
facturer's recommendations.
When working under the bonnet,
take care, as certain areas of the
engine may be extremely hot (risk
of burns).

PRACTICAL INFORMATION
This repair kit is available from
PEUGEOT dealers.
It is designed to repair most punc-
tures which could affect the tyre, lo-
cated on the tyre tread or shoulder.
Avoid removing any foreign bodies
which have penetrated the tyre.
TEMPORARY PUNCTURE REPAIR KIT
The kit is stowed in the boot below the
fl o o r . I t i s fi t t e d i n t h e t o o l b o x , l o c a t e d
below the storage compartment. Using the kit
This procedure, comprising several
steps, must be carried out in full.
Switch off the ignition.
Turn the selector A to the "SEALANT"
position.
Check that the switch B is in
position "0" .
Connect the white pipe C to the
valve of the tyre to be repaired.
Connect the compressor's electric
plug to the vehicle's 12 V socket.

to the vehicle's steering wheel
to remind you that a wheel is in
temporary use.
Start the vehicle and leave the
engine running.
Access to the kit
Complete system consisting of a com-
pressor and an incorporated sealant
cartridge which permits
temporary re-
pair of the tyre so that you can drive to
the nearest garage.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION
This repair kit is available from
PEUGEOT dealers.
It is designed to repair holes of a
m a x i m u m d i a m e t e r o f 6 m m , o n l y
where located on the tyre tread or
shoulder. Avoid removing any for-
eign bodies which have penetrated
the tyre.
TEMPORARY PUNCTURE REPAIR KIT
Complete system consisting of a com-
pressor and a bottle of sealant which per-
mits temporary repair of the tyre so that
you can drive to the nearest garage.
The kit is stowed in the boot storage
tray. Using the kit
Switch off the ignition.
Tick the wheel to be repaired on the
speed limitation sticker enclosed
t h e n a f fi x t h e s t i c k e r t o t h e v e h i c l e ' s
steering wheel to remind you that a
wheel is in temporary use.
Clip the bottle 1 on the compressor 2 .
Check that the switch A is tilted to
position "0" .
Connect the pipe of the bottle 1 to
the valve of the tyre to be repaired.
Unwind the pipe of the compressor

fully, then connect it to the bottle.
Connect the compressor's electric
plug to the vehicle's 12 V socket.
Start the vehicle and leave the
engine running.

while the engine is running.
Do not charge the batteries without
d i s c o n n e c t i n g t h e t e r m i n a l s fi r s t .
Do not push the vehicle to start the
e n g i n e i f i t i s fi t t e d w i t h a 6 - s p e e d
e l e c t r o n i c g e a r c o n t r o l g e a r b o x .
The batteries contain harmful sub-
stances such as sulphuric acid and
lead. They must be disposed of in
accordance with regulations and
must not, in any circumstances, be
discarded with household waste.
Take used remote control batteries
and vehicle batteries to a special
collection point.
It is advisable to disconnect the
battery if the vehicle is to be left un-
used for more than one month. Before disconnecting the
battery
Wait 2 minutes after switching off
the ignition before disconnecting
the battery.
Close the windows and the doors
before disconnecting the battery.
Following reconnection of the
battery
Following reconnection of the bat-
tery, switch on the ignition and wait
1 minute before starting to permit
initialisation of the electronic sys-
tems. However, if problems are en-
countered following this operation,
contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
Referring to the corresponding sec-
t i o n , y o u m u s t y o u r s e l f r e i n i t i a l i s e :
- the remote control key,
- the panoramic sunroof blind,
- the GPS satellite navigation
system.
Charging the battery using a
battery charger
Disconnect the battery from the
vehicle.
Follow the instructions for use
provided by the manufacturer of the
charger.
Reconnect starting with the negative
t e r m i n a l ( - ) .
Check that the terminals and
connectors are clean. If they are
covered with sulphate (whitish or
g r e e n i s h d e p o s i t ) , r e m o v e t h e m a n d
clean them.
Connect one end of the green
or black cable to the negative
t e r m i n a l ( - ) o f t h e s l a v e b a t t e r y B .
Connect the other end of the green
or black cable to the earth point C
on the broken down vehicle.
Operate the starter, let the engine
run.
Wait until the engine returns to idle
and disconnect the cables.

s p o n d i n g p a r a g r a p h ) .
If the telephone is being used at
t h i s t i m e :
- it will be maintained for 10 minutes
with the hands-free kit of your
Peugeot Connect Sound,
- it will be maintained for 10 minutes with the Peugeot Connect
Navigation or the Peugeot
Connect Media, then it will transfer
to your telephone depending on
the telephone model.
System which manages the duration of
use of certain functions to conserve a
s u f fi c i e n t l e v e l o f c h a r g e i n t h e b a t t e r y .
After the engine has stopped, you can
still use functions such as the audio and
telematics system, windscreen wip-
ers, dipped beam headlamps, courtesy
l a m p s , e t c . f o r a m a x i m u m c o m b i n e d
duration of thirty minutes. Exiting economy mode
These functions are reactivated auto-
m a t i c a l l y n e x t t i m e t h e v e h i c l e i s d r i v e n .
In order to resume the use of these
functions immediately, start the
e n g i n e a n d l e t i t r u n :
- for less than ten minutes, to use t h e e q u i p m e n t f o r a p p r o x i m a t e l y
fi v e m i n u t e s ,
- for more than ten minutes, to use the equipment for up to
a p p r o x i m a t e l y t h i r t y m i n u t e s .
Switching to economy mode
Once the thirty minutes are over, a
message appears on the multi-function
screen indicating that the vehicle has
switched to economy mode and the active
functions are put on standby.
CHANGING A WIPER BLADE
Removing
Raise the corresponding wiper arm.
Unclip the wiper blade and remove it.
Fitting
Put the corresponding new wiper
blade in place and clip it.
Fold down the wiper arm carefully.
Before removing a front wiper
blade
Within one minute after switching off
the ignition, operate the wiper stalk
to position the wiper blades vertically
on the windscreen.
After fitting a front wiper blade
Switch on the ignition.
Operate the wiper stalk again to
park the wiper blades.
LOAD REDUCTION MODE
System which manages the use of cer-
tain functions according to the level of
charge remaining in the battery.
When the vehicle is being driven, the
load reduction function temporarily deac-
tivates certain functions, such as the air
conditioning, the heated rear screen...
The deactivated functions are reactivat-
ed automatically as soon as conditions
permit.

EMERGENCY CALL ASSISTANCE CALL
OPERATION OF THE SYSTEM
In an emergency, press this button for more than 2 seconds. Flashing of the green diode and a voice m e s s a g e c o n fi r m t h a t t h e c a l l h a s b e e n m a d e t o t h e PEUGEOT Emergency team * .
Pressing this button again immediately cancels the request. The green diode switches off.
T h e g r e e n d i o d e r e m a i n s o n ( w i t h o u t fl a s h i n g ) w h e n c o m m u n i c a t i o n i s established. It switches off at the end of communication.
This call is dealt with by the PEUGEOT Emergency team which receives locating information from the vehicle and can send a detailed alert to the appropriate emergency services. In countries in whi ch the team is not operational, or when the locating service has been expressly refused, t h e c a l l i s d e a l t w i t h d i r e c t l y b y t h e e m e r g e n c y s e r v i c e s ( 1 1 2 ) w i t h o u t t h e vehicle location.
If an impact is detected by the airbag ECU, and independently of any triggering of the airbags, an emergency call is mad e automatically.

When the ignition is switched on, the green indicator lamp comes on for 3 seconds indicating that the system is operating correctly.
I f t h e o r a n g e i n d i c a t o r l a m p fl a s h e s : t h e r e i s a system malfunction. I f t h e o r a n g e i n d i c a t o r l a m p i s l i t c o n t i n u o u s l y : the backup battery must be replaced. In both cases, consult a PEUGEOT dealer.
