Left-hand
direction
indicator Flashing
with
buzzer T h i s fl a s h e s w h e n y o u
press the lights stalk
down. I f t h i s i n d i c a t o r l i g h t fl a s h e s a b n o r m a l l y q u i c k l y ,
this could indicate that the electric bulb of one of
the direction indicators has blown. Change the
bulb or contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
Right-hand
direction
indicator Flashing
with
buzzer T h i s fl a s h e s w h e n y o u
push the lights stalk up. I f t h i s i n d i c a t o r l i g h t fl a s h e s a b n o r m a l l y q u i c k l y ,
this could indicate that the electric bulb of one of
the direction indicators has blown. Change the
bulb or contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
Main beam
headlamps Fixed This comes on when
you pull the lights stalk
towards you. Pull the stalk to return to dipped headlamps.
Side lights Fixed This comes on when
the lights stalk is in the
"Side lights" or "Dipped
headlamps" position. T u r n t h e s t a l k t o t h e p o s i t i o n r e q u i r e d .
Front fog
lamps Fixed This comes on when you
use the front fog lamps. Turn the ring on the stalk forwards to switch on
the fog lamps.
Rear fog
lamps Fixed This comes on when you
use the rear fog lamps. Turn the ring on the stalk forwards to switch on
the fog lamps.
Cruise
control Fixed This comes on when the
mode is active. Press the "ON/OFF" button to activate/deactivate
the mode.

Indicator lights is on Cause Observations
Diesel
pre-heating Fixed This comes on when the
ignition switch is at ON. Wait until this light has switched off before
starting.
The duration for which this is displayed is
determined by the exterior climatic conditions.
Warning lights is on Cause Observations
Handbrake/
B r a k e fl u i d level Fixed This comes on for a
few seconds when the
ignition is turned to "ON"
then switches off.
It is accompanied by a message on the
instrument panel display.
The handbrake is
applied or has not been
released fully. It is accompanied by a message on the
instrument panel display. Release the handbrake
to switch off the warning light.

and contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
Emission
control system Fixed or
fl a s h i n g This comes on or
fl a s h e s i f t h e s y s t e m
fails. Consult a PEUGEOT dealer.
It should switch off a few seconds after starting
the engine.
Battery
charge Fixed This comes on if a
charging circuit fault
occurs. It should switch off when the engine is started.
It is accompanied by a message on the
instrument panel display. Check the battery
terminals (refer to the "Battery" section).

Warning lights is on Cause Solution - action
Driver’s
seat belt not fastened Fixed The driver has not
fastened or has
unfastened his seat belt. This is accompanied by a message on the
instrument panel display.
Fasten the driver’s seat belt.
ABS Fixed This comes on if an
anti-lock braking system
failure occurs. It is accompanied by a message on the instrument
panel display. The vehicle retains conventional
braking without assistance but you are advised to
stop. Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer.
Air bags and
pretensioners Fixed This comes on for a
few seconds when the
ignition is turned to "ON"
then switches off.
It should switch off when the engine is started. If it
does not switch off, contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
This comes on if an air
bag or pretensioner
failure occurs. It is accompanied by a message on the instrument
panel display. Have the system checked by a
PEUGEOT dealer without delay.

Each time the engine is started: a series of warning lights and/or messages come on applying a checking self test. They
switch off after a few seconds. Engine running: the warning light or the message becomes a warning if it remains on
c o n t i n u o u s l y o r fl a s h e s . T h i s i n i t i a l w a r n i n g m a y b e a c c o m p a n i e d b y a n a u d i b l e s i g n a l a n d a m e s s a g e o n t h e d i s p l a y . D o n o t
ignore these warnings.
W h e n t h e c a u s e o f t h e a p p e a r a n c e o f t h e w a r n i n g l i g h t o r w a r n i n g m e s s a g e h a s b e e n r e c t i fi e d , t h e w a r n i n g d i s a p p e a r s f r o m
t h e d i s p l a y a u t o m a t i c a l l y . I f t h e c a u s e o f t h e w a r n i n g i s n o t r e c t i fi e d , y o u c a n r e t u r n t o t h e p r e v i o u s s c r e e n a t a n y t i m e b y
pressing the INFO button on the fascia.
The symbol "!" is displayed.
To return to the previous screen (with the "!" symbol), you must press the INFO button several times.

Warning messages (ignition at "OFF")
You can shut down the warning messages which show these symbol
s in order to move on to the next screen.
To do this, press the INFO button according to the symbol displayed.

INFORMATION ON THE INFORMATION ON THE
INSTRUMENT PANEL DISPLAY

With the ignition on, press the
INFO
button, located on the fascia to the
right of the instrument panel, to display
the various information displays in
succession:
- the distance recorder A ,
- the distance recorder B ,
- the service indicator,
- the coolant temperature,
- the range,
- the trip computer,
- the setting menu.
This displays the distance
and the number of months
remaining before the next
service to be carried out in
accordance with the manu-
facturer’s servicing sched-
ule (refer to the "Service
indicator" section).
Service indicator
When the engine is run-
ning, this indicates the
temperature of the cool-
ant (refer to the "Coolant
temperature indicator"
section).
C o o l a n t t e m p e r a t u r e When the engine is run-
ning, this indicates the
number of miles (kilo-
metres) which can still
be travelled with the fuel
remaining in the tank in
relation to the average
consumption over the
last few miles (kilometres) travelled (re-
fer to the "Range" section).
Range
This indicates the aver-
age consumption, the
average speed and the
current consumption (re-
fer to the "Trip computer"
section).

When the vehicle is sta-
t i o n a r y , this allows the user
to change the following pa-
rameters (refer to the "Func-
tion parameters" section):
- the display language,
- the temperature dis- play unit,
- the fuel consumption unit,
- the option to reinitialise the average consumption and the average speed,
- the break (rest) reminder display in- terval.

When the ignition is switched on, the
zero reset switches automatically from
manual mode to automatic mode.

If the ignition remains in the
"ACC"
(Accessories) position for at least
4 hours, the average consumption
value is reset to zero automatically.
If dashes "---" are displayed for
long periods in place of the digits
while driving, contact a PEUGEOT
dealer.

than two seconds.

When the vehicle is sta-
t i o n a r y , it allows the user
to change the following
parameters:
-
the choice of the reini-
tialisation of the average
consumption and aver-
age speed,
- the fuel consumption unit,
- the temperature display unit,
- the display language,
- activation/deactivation of the INFO
button sound,
-
the break (rest) reminder display interval,
-
restore the manufacturer’s parameters.
FUNCTION PARAMETERS FUNCTION PARAMETERS
System which provides access to cer-
tain function parameters.
In order to change the settings,
it is essential that you stop
the vehicle and switch on the
ignition.
Apply the handbrake and place
the gear lever in neutral.
When the vehicle is moving ,
the functions setting display is
not displayed when you press
the INFO button.
With the ignition on , press the INFO
button on the fascia, to the right of
the instrument panel, several times in
succession until the "SETTING MENU"
screen is displayed. O p e r a t i o n
press and hold the INFO button for
a few seconds to display the menus
screen. Press and hold the
INFO button
for a few seconds to return to
the previous screen.
When the menus screen is
displayed, if no operation is
carried out within 15 seconds,
the function parameters screen
is displayed.

You can choose between two average
consumption and average speed reini-
tialisation modes:
- automatic reinitialisation (
choice 1) ,
- manual reinitialisation (choice 2) .
On the menus screen:
press the INFO button to select:
press and hold the INFO button for
a few seconds to switch in succes-
sion from reinitialisation mode 1
(automatic) to reinitialisation mode
2 (manual) .
