The high frequency remote control is
a sensitive system; do not operate it
while it is in your pocket as there is a
possibility that it may unlock your ve-
hicle, without you being aware of it.
The remote control does not ope-
rate when the key is in the ignition,
even when the ignition is switched
off, except for reprogramming.
Do not operate the deadlocking
function if there is anyone inside
the vehicle.

As a safety precaution (with chil-
dren on board), remove the ignition
key when you leave the vehicle,
even for a short time.
Do not repeatedly press the button
of your remote control out of range
and out of sight of your vehicle. You
run the risk of stopping it from wor-
king and the remote control would
have to be reprogrammed.
When purchasing a second-hand ve-
hicle, have the key codes memorised
by a PEUGEOT dealer to ensure that
the keys in your possession are the
only ones which can start the vehicle.

ALARM When the alarm is triggered, the siren
sounds and the direction indicator lights
fl a s h f o r a p p r o x i m a t e l y t h i r t y s e c o n d s .
After triggering, the alarm remains set,
ten times in succession.
O n t h e e l e v e n t h t i m e i t w i l l b e c o m e
i n a c t i v e a g a i n , u n t i l t h e n e x t c y c l e o f
disarming then setting of the alarm.
Warning: if button A indicator light
fl a s h e s r a p i d l y , t h e a l a r m h a s b e e n
t r i g g e r e d w h i l e y o u w e r e a w a y f r o m

Set the alarm, by locking or dea-
dlocking using the remote control

o n c e p e r s e c o n d ) .
I f y o u w i s h t o l o c k o r d e a d l o c k y o u r v e -
h i c l e w i t h o u t s e t t i n g t h e a l a r m , l o c k i t
(one turn of the key) or deadlock it (a
s e c o n d t u r n w i t h i n fi v e s e c o n d s m a x i -
mum) using the lock. Disarming
U n l o c k t h e v e h i c l e w i t h t h e r e m o t e
control key.

is a fault in the siren connection.

Automatic activation *
T h e a l a r m i s a c t i v a t e d a u t o m a t i c a l l y
t w o m i n u t e s a f t e r t h e l a s t c l o s u r e o f a
door or the boot.
I n o r d e r t o a v o i d a c c i d e n t a l t r i g g e r i n g
o f t h e a l a r m w h e n a d o o r o r t h e b o o t
i s o p e n e d , i t i s e s s e n t i a l t o p r e s s t h e
unlocking button on the remote control
again. When the alarm is set, if a door,
the tailgate or the bonnet is not
closed correctly, the siren is
t r i g g e r e d b r i e fl y . I f t h e v e h i c l e i s
c l o s e d c o r r e c t l y w i t h i n t h e n e x t 4 5 s e -
conds, the alarm is set. In all cases, the
alarm is set after 45 seconds.
