C h i l d r e n u n d e r t h e a g e o f 1 0 m u s t n o t
t r a v e l i n t h e " f o r w a r d f a c i n g " p o s i t i o n
o n t h e f r o n t p a s s e n g e r s e a t , u n l e s s
t h e r e a r s e a t s a r e a l r e a d y o c c u p i e d b y
other children, cannot be used or are
absent.
D i s a r m t h e p a s s e n g e r a i r b a g w h e n a
"rear facing" child seat is installed on
the front seat.
O t h e r w i s e , t h e c h i l d w o u l d r i s k b e i n g
s e r i o u s l y i n j u r e d o r k i l l e d i f t h e a i r b a g

Installing a booster seat

that the head restraint does not cause
any discomfort.
If the head restraint has to be re-
m o v e d , e n s u r e t h a t i t i s s t o r e d o r a t -
t a c h e d s e c u r e l y t o p r e v e n t i t f r o m b e -
i n g t h r o w n a r o u n d t h e v e h i c l e i n t h e
e v e n t o f s h a r p b r a k i n g .

p u t t h e v e h i c l e b a c k o n c o u r s e , w i t h i n
t h e l i m i t o f t h e l a w s o f p h y s i c s .

The ABS increases the stability and

p e r y r o a d s u r f a c e s .
T h i s s y s t e m c o m e s i n t o o p e r a t i o n

w h e e l l o c k .
N o r m a l o p e r a t i o n o f t h e A B S m a y
m a k e i t s e l f f e l t b y s l i g h t v i b r a t i o n s o f
t h e b r a k e p e d a l .
This indicates that the ABS is
faulty.

I f i t c o m e s o n p e r m a n e n t l y a b o v e

malfunction.

EMERGENCY BRAKING ASSISTANCE SYSTEM
In an emergency, this system enables
t h e o p t i m u m b r a k i n g p r e s s u r e t o b e
reached more quickly, thus reducing
t h e s t o p p i n g d i s t a n c e .
I t i s t r i g g e r e d b y t h e s p e e d a t w h i c h
t h e b r a k e p e d a l i s a c t i v a t e d .
The effect of this is a reduction in the
r e s i s t a n c e o f t h e p e d a l a n d a n i n -
c r e a s e i n b r a k i n g e f fi c i e n c y .
W h e n b r a k i n g i n a n e m e r g e n c y , p r e s s
fi r m l y w i t h o u t r e l e a s i n g t h e p r e s s u r e .
In emergency braking, press
v e r y fi r m l y w i t h o u t r e l e a s -
ing the pressure.
Note: w h e n c h a n g i n g w h e e l s ( t y r e s
and rims), make sure that these are
a p p r o v e d .

In an emergency, this system enables
t h e o p t i m u m b r a k i n g p r e s s u r e t o b e
reached more quickly, thus reducing
t h e s t o p p i n g d i s t a n c e .
I t i s t r i g g e r e d b y t h e s p e e d a t w h i c h
t h e b r a k e p e d a l i s a c t i v a t e d .
The effect of this is a reduction in the
r e s i s t a n c e o f t h e p e d a l a n d a n i n -
c r e a s e i n b r a k i n g e f fi c i e n c y .
