Automatic switching on of the lights
T h e d i p p e d b e a m h e a d l a m p s s w i t c h
o n a u t o m a t i c a l l y i f t h e l i g h t i s p o o r a n d
when the windscreen wipers operate
continuously. They switch off when
the light is bright enough or the wind-
screen wipers stop.
Warning: in foggy weather or in snow,
the brightness sensor can detect suf-
fi c i e n t l i g h t . T h e l i g h t s w i l l n o t c o m e o n
a u t o m a t i c a l l y .

lighting
When you leave your vehicle, the side
l i g h t s a n d d i p p e d h e a d l a m p s c a n b e
left on for a few seconds.
When the function is activated,
t h e i n d i c a t o r l i g h t c o m e s o n o n t h e
5 - d i a l i n s t r u m e n t p a n e l d i s p l a y .
T o d i s a r m o r a c t i v a t e t h e
function, pass via the
" P e r s o n a l i s a t i o n - c o n -
fi g u r a t i o n " m e n u o n y o u r
m u l t i f u n c t i o n d i s p l a y .
F o r s a f e t y r e a s o n s , a c t i v a t i o n /

carried out when stationary. To deactivate or activate the
" A u t o m a t i c f o l l o w - m e - h o m e
lighting" function, pass via the
" P e r s o n a l i s a t i o n - c o n fi g u -
ration" m e n u o n y o u r m u l t i -
function screen.

Automatic "Follow-me-home"
lighting
When you leave your vehicle
with the
automatic switching on of the lights
activated, the side lights and dipped
h e a d l a m p s r e m a i n o n f o r t h e d u r a t i o n
selected after the ignition is switched
off.
Disarming
W h e n t h e f u n c t i o n i s d i s a r m e d ,
t h e i n d i c a t o r l i g h t c o m e s o n o n t h e
5 - d i a l i n s t r u m e n t p a n e l d i s p l a y .
D o n o t c o v e r t h e s u n s h i n e /
brightness sensor, located in
the centre of the windscreen.
It is used to regulate the air
c o n d i t i o n i n g a n d f o r t h e a u t o m a t i c
switching on of the lights.
If the sunshine/brightness sensor
does not function correctly, the side
l i g h t s a n d d i p p e d h e a d l a m p s c o m e o n .
Consult a PEUGEOT dealer. Activation:
switch off the engine,
" fl a s h " t h e h e a d l a m p s ,
get out of the vehicle and lock it.

When braking in an emergency, de-
pending on the deceleration, the hazard
warning lights come on automatically.
T h e y s w i t c h o f f a u t o m a t i c a l l y t h e fi r s t
time you accelerate.
It is also possible to switch them off by
pressing the button.

ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESP)
This system is linked and complemen-
tary to the ABS system.
I n t h e e v e n t o f a s i g n i fi c a n t v a r i a t i o n
between the trajectory of the vehicle
and the path required by the driver,
the ESP monitors wheel by wheel and
acts automatically on the engine and
on the brake of one or more wheels, to
put the vehicle back on course, within
the limit of the laws of physics.
ESP operation The indicator light comes on. Disarming the ESP
In exceptional conditions (starting the
vehicle when it is stuck in the mud,
immobilised in snow, on unstable
ground...), it may be advisable to dis-
arm the ESP.
Press the "ESP OFF" switch, lo-
cated on the centre console.
The switch lights up and the warning
light comes on: the ESP no longer acts
on the operation of the engine.
Instrument panel indicator
light.
The system is triggered again:
automatically if the ignition is
switched off,
automatically above 30 mph (50 km/h),
manually by pressing the switch
again.
Press the button, the direction indicators

The suspension adapts automatically
and instantly to different driving styles
and road characteristics, improving
the comfort of the occupants and the
vehicle's road holding capabilities.
The suspension favours smooth shock
absorption, ensuring a comfortable
ride, but as soon as conditions demand
a change (sporty driving, tight bends,
avoidance action, etc.) it automatically
s e l e c t s fi r m e r s h o c k a b s o r p t i o n , g u a r -
anteeing optimum road holding.

CHANGING A FRONT BULB
Handle the bulbs with a dry cloth.
2 - Main beam headlamps: H7-55 W.
Remove the protective cover cor-
responding to the faulty bulb.
Disconnect the connector.
Press the end of the securing clips
to free the bulb. Change the bulb.
W h e n fi t t i n g t h e n e w b u l b , e n s u r e t h a t
the direction notches are positioned
correctly and the securing clips are
fi x e d p r o p e r l y .
Reconnect the connector.
R e fi t t h e p r o t e c t i v e c o v e r .

Direction indicators:
PY 21 W (amber).
Turn the bulb holder a quarter turn
and remove it.
Change the bulb.
WARNING: RISK OF
ELECTROCUTION
Front lights
In the engine compartment, remove
the cover secured by one or two but-
t e r fl y s c r e w s , a p l a s t i c r e t a i n e r c l i p a n d
two quarter turn screws.
1 - Dipped beam headlamps:
H1-55 W or D2S-35 W xenon bulb.
Xenon bulbs must be replaced by a
PEUGEOT dealer. Amber coloured bulbs (direction
indicators and side repeaters)
must be replaced with bulbs
o f i d e n t i c a l s p e c i fi c a t i o n a n d
colour.
5 - Front fog lamps: H11 - 55 W.
Turn the wheels to full lock.
A c c e s s t o t h e b u l b i s v i a t h e fl a p i n t h e
f r o n t m u d fl a p .
Consult a PEUGEOT dealer.
T h e h e a d l a m p s a r e fi t t e d w i t h p o l y c a r -
bonate glass with a protective coating.
Do not clean them with a dry or abra-
sive cloth, nor with a detergent or sol-
vent product.
E n s u r e t h a t t h e l i q u i d u s e d t o fi l l t h e
wash-wipe and headlamp wash reser-
voir is of good quality.
High pressure washing :
when using a high pressure
washer on stubborn dirt, do
not persist on the headlamps,
the lights and their periphery to avoid
damaging their coating and their seal.
In certain climatic conditions (low tem-
perature, humidity), condensation on
the inside surface of the headlamp
glass and rear lights glass is normal;
it disappears a few minutes after the
lights are switched on.
3 - Side lights: W 5 W.
Remove the protective cover, dis-
connect the connector and then
remove the bulb and change it.
Put the connector back in place.
Reconnect the connector.

Integrated direction indicator side
repeaters CHANGING A REAR BULB (SALOON)
Third brake light:
Five W 5 W bulbs.
Remove the plastic cover carefully
by unclipping it at the centre and
on either side, perpendicular to its
direction of engagement.
Press on the two tabs located at
the rear, near the rear screen.
Pull the red transparent cover out-
wards while maintaining the pressure
on the tabs.
Change the faulty bulb.
W h e n r e fi t t i n g , e n s u r e t h a t t h e
tabs of the red transparent cover
are engaged correctly and that the
upper trim has been put back in
place correctly.
S c r e w o n t h e l i g h t fi x i n g n u t s i n -
side the boot using the towing eye,
i f n e c e s s a r y . W h e n r e fi t t i n g , e n -
sure that the light is positioned and
fi x e d c o r r e c t l y .
Reconnect the connector.
Number plate lights:
W 5 W.
Remove the transparent cover using
a screwdriver blade.
Change the faulty bulb.
Push the repeater forwards or
backwards and release it.
Unclip the repeater and change it.
Repeaters can be obtained from
PEUGEOT dealers.
Amber coloured bulbs (direction indi-
cators and side repeaters), must be
replaced with bulbs of identical speci-
fi c a t i o n a n d c o l o u r .
1. Direction indicators:
PY 21 W (amber).
2. Reversing lights: P21 W.
3. Fog lamps/side lights:
P21/4 W.
4. Side lights: P21/4 W.
5. Brake lights/side lights: P21/4 W.
Disconnect the connector.
U n s c r e w t h e l i g h t fi x i n g n u t s i n -
side the boot using the towing eye
(stored inside the spare wheel), if
necessary.
Remove the seal.
Unclip the bulb holder moving
aside the 5 tabs.
Unscrew the bulb and change it.
Lock the bulb holder in place.
Reposition the seal.
