"Rear screen open" warning
When the engine is running , if the
rear screen is not fully closed, you are
warned by a message on the multi-
function screen.
When the vehicle is moving (speed
greater than 6 mph (10 km/h)), if the
rear screen is not fully closed, you are
warned by an audible signal, a mes-
sage on the multifunction screen and
lighting of the service warning lamp. Tailgate release
This enables the tailgate to be un-
locked in the event of a central locking
fault.
- Fold back the rear seats to gain
access to the lock from inside the
boot.
- Insert a small screwdriver into hole A
of the lock to unlock the tailgate.

your battery checked by a

replaced regularly. If you
drive in dusty conditions,
change them twice as often.
Air filter and passenger compartment filter
Particle emission filter (Diesel)
It is essential that the particle emission
fi l t e r i s m a i n t a i n e d i n a c c o r d a n c e w i t h
the manufacturer's servicing schedule,
by a PEUGEOT dealer.
Note : following prolonged operation
of the vehicle at very low speed or at
idle, you may, in exceptional circum-
stances, notice emissions of water va-
pour at the exhaust on acceleration.
This does not have any effect on the
performance of the vehicle or the en-
vironment.
O n v e h i c l e s w h i c h a r e fi t t e d w i t h a p a r -
t i c l e e m i s s i o n fi l t e r , t h e c o o l i n g f a n m a y
operate after the vehicle has stopped,
even when the engine is cold. Where the parking brake trav-
el is too great or there is a re-
duction in the performance of
the system, the parking brake
should be adjusted.
Have the system checked by a PEUGEOT
dealer.

ing disc wear, contact a PEUGEOT

FUEL SUPPLY CUT-OFF (PETROL) *
As a safety precaution, in certain cir-
cumstances the fuel supply to the en-
gine is cut off.
To re-establish the fuel supply:
RUNNING OUT OF FUEL (DIESEL)
If you should run out of fuel, it is ne-
cessary to prime the fuel system.
The priming pump and the bleed screw
are located under the bonnet (see cor-
responding illustration in the technical
information section):
1.6 litre 16V HDI engine
- fi l l t h e f u e l t a n k w i t h a t l e a s t fi v e l i -
tres of diesel,
- squeeze and release the manual priming pump until fuel appears in
the transparent pipe,
- operate the starter until the engine starts.
2 litre 16V HDI engine
- fi l l t h e f u e l t a n k w i t h a t l e a s t fi v e l i - tres of diesel,
- unscrew the bleed screw,
- squeeze and release the manual priming pump until diesel is seen
escaping via the bleed screw,
- retighten the bleed screw,
- operate the starter until the engine starts.
Brake pad wear depends on
the style of driving, in particu-
lar for vehicles which are used
in town, over short distances.

between services.

Press this button to gain access to the PEUGEOT services * .
Select "Customer call" to request any information about the PEUGEOT marque.
Select "PEUGEOT Assistance" to make a breakdown assistance call.
In an emergency, press the SOS button until a CONFIRMATION/CANCELLATION screen is displayed. A call is made * directly to PEUGEOTEmergency which receives locating information from the vehicle and can send a detailed alert to the appropriate emergency services. In countries where the call centre is not operational, the call is directed to the national emergency services (112).

If necessary, the internal telephone is activated automautomatically to make an emergency call.

FIRST STEPS
1 . On/Off and Volume adjustment.
2 . Selection of the source: radio, Jukebox, CD/DVD, CD c h a n g e r a n d a u x i l i a r y ( A U X , i f a c t i v a t e d o n t h e C o n fi g u r a t i o n menu). Long press: CD copy to hard disc.
3 . Audio option adjustments: front/rear, left/right balance, loudness, sound ambiences.
4 . Display the list of local radio stations, the tracks on the CD/DVD or the MP3/USB/Jukebox directories. Long press: update the local radio stations.
5 . Automatic search for a lower/higher frequency. Sele ction of the previous/next CD/DVD, MP3, USB or Jukebox track . Long press: fast forward and backward play.
6 . Selection of the wavebands FM1, FM2, FMast, AM.
7 . T A ( T r a f fi c A n n o u n c e m e n t ) f u n c t i o n o n / o f f . Long press: access to the PTY mode (radio Programme TYpes).
8 . Ejection of the CD/DVD.

This displays the following information, via the audio control panel: - time, - date, - ambient temperature (if there is a risk of ice, you are warned by a message), - audio source displays (radio, CD, jukebox, ... ), - telematic system displays (telephone, services , ...), - check of openings (doors, boot, ...), - warning messages (e.g.: "Fuel level low") and vehicle function status messages (e.g.: "Auto lighting activated") displaye d temporarily, - trip computer information, - GPS (Europe) satellite navigation system information.
The system uses the complete and detailed NAVTEQ m aps installed directly on the equipment's hard disk. Updates of the maps of the UK and of the other Euro pean countries, offered by our partner NAVTEQ, are available from the PEUGEOT network.

For reasons of safety, the driver should only car ry out operations which require prolonged attention when the vehicle is stationary (pairing the Bluetooth mobile telephone to the hands-free kit).
Activate the telephone's Bluetooth function. The last telephone connected is reconnected automatically.
Select BLUETOOTH ACTIVATION MODE, then ACTIVATED AND V I S I B L E . P r e s s t h e d i a l t o c o n fi r m each operation.
Press the MENU button, select TELEMATICS, then BLUETOOTH FUNCTIONS. Press the dial to c o n fi r m e a c h o p e r a t i o n .
On your telephone, select the name of the PEUGEOT audio/telephone. Enter the authentication code (0000 by default).
