To tilt the head restraint, tilt the lower

To remove the head restraint, move it
a l m o s t t o t h e h i g h e s t p o s i t i o n , l i f t t h e
t a b u s i n g a c o i n a n d p u l l i t f o r w a r d s
a n d u p w a r d s a t t h e s a m e t i m e .

ADVICE ON CHILD SEATS
Children under the age of 10 must not
t r a v e l i n t h e " f o r w a r d s - f a c i n g " p o s i t i o n
o n t h e f r o n t p a s s e n g e r s e a t , u n l e s s
t h e r e a r s e a t s a r e a l r e a d y o c c u p i e d b y
other children, cannot be used or are
a b s e n t .
D e a c t i v a t e t h e p a s s e n g e r a i r b a g w h e n
a " r e a r w a r d s - f a c i n g " c h i l d s e a t i s i n -
s t a l l e d o n t h e f r o n t s e a t .
Otherwise, the child would risk being
s e r i o u s l y i n j u r e d o r k i l l e d i f t h e a i r b a g
w e r e t o i n fl a t e .
Installing a booster seat
T h e c h e s t p a r t o f t h e s e a t b e l t m u s t
b e p o s i t i o n e d o n t h e c h i l d ' s s h o u l d e r
w i t h o u t t o u c h i n g t h e n e c k .
E n s u r e t h a t t h e l a p p a r t o f t h e s e a t
b e l t p a s s e s c o r r e c t l y o v e r t h e c h i l d ' s
t h i g h s .
PEUGEOT recommends the use of
a b o o s t e r s e a t w h i c h h a s a b a c k , fi t -
ted with a seat belt guide at shoulder
l e v e l . A s a s a f e t y p r e c a u t i o n , d o n o t l e a v e :
- a child or children alone and unsu-
p e r v i s e d i n a v e h i c l e ,
- a child or an animal in a vehicle w h i c h i s e x p o s e d t o t h e s u n , w i t h
the windows closed,
- t h e k e y s w i t h i n r e a c h o f c h i l d r e n i n s i d e t h e v e h i c l e .
T o p r e v e n t a c c i d e n t a l o p e n i n g o f t h e
doors and rear windows, use the
" C h i l d l o c k " .

The incorrect installation of a child seat

m i n i m u m , e v e n f o r s h o r t j o u r n e y s .
When installing a child seat using the
seat belt, ensure that the seat belt is
t i g h t e n e d c o r r e c t l y o n t h e c h i l d s e a t
a n d t h a t i t s e c u r e s t h e c h i l d s e a t fi r m l y
o n t h e s e a t o f y o u r v e h i c l e .
F o r o p t i m u m i n s t a l l a t i o n o f t h e " f o r -
w a r d s - f a c i n g " c h i l d s e a t , e n s u r e t h a t
the back of the child seat is in contact
w i t h t h e b a c k o f t h e v e h i c l e ' s s e a t a n d
that the head restraint does not cause
a n y d i s c o m f o r t .
If the head restraint has to be removed,
ensure that it is stored or attached se-
c u r e l y t o p r e v e n t i t f r o m b e i n g t h r o w n
a r o u n d t h e v e h i c l e i n t h e e v e n t o f s h a r p
b r a k i n g .
