CHANGING THE REMOTE CONTROL BATTERY
Battery ref.: CR1620/3 volts.
To change the battery, unclip the cas-
ing using a coin at the notch.
REPROGRAMMING THE REMOTE CONTROL
Switch off the ignition.
Switch the ignition on again.
Press the remote control locking but-
ton immediately for a few seconds.
Switch off the ignition and remove
the remote control key from the ig-
nition lock. The remote control is
now working again.
ELECTRONIC ENGINE IMMOBILISER
This locks the engine control system
a few moments after the ignition has
been switched off and therefore pre-
vents starting of the vehicle by anyone
who does not have the key.
The ignition key has an electronic chip
which has a special code. When the
ignition is switched on, the code is rec-
ognised and starting is possible.
Do not discard the batteries,
they contain metals which are
harmful to the environment.
Take them to an approved col-
lection point.
If the system does not
f u n c t i o n c o r r e c t l y , the
warning light comes on on

In this case, your vehicle will not start.

FILLING WITH FUEL
T h e f u e l fi l l e r fl a p i s e l e c t r i c , y o u c a n
only open it by pressing button A .
Button A is deactivated auto-
matically from 6 mph (10 km/h).

A fuel gauge fault is indicated by the
fuel level indicator needle returning to
zero.
Consult a PEUGEOT dealer.

Turn the cap to the left.
Remove the cap and hang the end
on the hook located on the inside
o f t h e fl a p .

to use.
W h e n y o u fi l l y o u r t a n k , d o n o t c o n -
tinue after the third cut-off of the pump.
This could cause your vehicle to mal-
function.
The capacity of the tank is approxi-
m a t e l y 6 7 l i t r e s .
A f t e r fi l l i n g t h e t a n k , s c r e w o n t h e
c a p a n d c l o s e t h e f u e l fi l l e r fl a p .
E n s u r e t h a t t h e f u e l fi l l e r fl a p i s
closed correctly. When this warning light comes
on in certain driving conditions
and depending on the engine,
the distance which can be
travelled with the fuel remain-
ing may be less than 30 miles
(50 kilometres).
Note: should you run out of fuel, you
must add at least 6 litres.

LIGHTS STALK

With the ignition and the automatic
lights function switched off, on open-
ing the driver's door a buzzer sounds
to warn you that you have left your
lights on.
Front and rear fog lamps (ring B)
Turn ring B forwards to switch on
and backwards to switch off. The
p o s i t i o n i s c o n fi r m e d b y t h e l i g h t
on the instrument panel.
Front fog lamps (one press)
These operate with the side lights, dipped
headlamps or main beam headlamps. Rear fog lamps (two presses)
These operate with the side lights and
the front fog lamps, or with the dipped
or main beam headlamps.
Left

If you forget to return the di-
rection indicator to its normal
position, the volume of the au-
dible signal will increase, if you
are driving at a speed greater
than 45 mph (70 km/h).
Parking lights *
The side lights are lit on the side the
t r a f fi c i s o n f o r a f e w h o u r s .
With the engine switched off and with-
in 45 seconds maximum, place the in-
d i c a t o r l i g h t s s t a l k o n t h e t r a f fi c s i d e
(for example: for parking on the right;
switching on of the lights on the left).
This is indicated by an audible signal
and lighting of the corresponding di-
rection indicator on the instrument
panel for a few seconds. If the parking lights are activated
when your vehicle switches to
economy mode, they will remain
on. However, you cannot acti-
vate the parking lights if your vehicle is
already in economy mode.
Dipped/main beam change
Pull the stalk fully towards you.

If the brightness sensor does not
f u n c t i o n c o r r e c t l y , if the system is
activated, the dipped headlamps and
the side lights come on.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer to have
the system checked.
On vehicles which are equipped with
daytime lights, the dipped headlamps
come on when the vehicle is started.
The instruments and controls
(instrument panel, multifunc-
tion display, air conditioning
control panel, ...) are only lit
on switching to the automatic switch-
ing on of the lights mode or when the
lights are switched on manually. This warning light comes on
on the instrument panel.

rectly at the lights stalk on
certain versions depending on
the type of lights stalk.
The side lights and dipped beam head-
lamps switch on automatically if the light
is poor, or during operation of the wind-
screen wipers. They switch off as soon

AUTOMATIC HEADLAMP ADJUSTMENT
W h e n s t a t i o n a r y a n d w h e n t h e v e h i -
cle is moving , the system automati-
cally corrects the height of the beam,
whatever the load of the vehicle. The
driver is then assured of having opti-
mum lighting and not causing a nui-
sance to other road users.
DIRECTIONAL HEADLAMPS
Activation/Deactivation
When the dipped or main beam head-
lamps are on, this function enables the
light beam to follow the direction of the
road.
The quality of your lighting when turning
is improved considerably.
I n c a s e s o f m a l f u n c t i o n ,
the warning light comes on
on the instrument panel dis-
play, accompanied by an au-
dible signal and a message
on the multifunction display. The sys-
tem places your headlamps to the low
position.
Do not touch the xenon bulbs. Consult
a PEUGEOT dealer. F u n c t i o n a c t i v a t e d
F u n c t i o n d e a c t i v a t e d To deactivate or acti-
vate the function, go to
the
"Personalisation -
C o n fi g u r a t i o n " menu on
your multifunction display.
When the engine is switched on, the
status of activation/deactivation of this
function selected when the engine was
switched off is retained.
By default, this function is activated.
Note: when stationary or driv-
ing at very low speed, or in
reverse gear, this function is
inactive.
I n t h e e v e n t o f a m a l f u n c -
tion, t h i s w a r n i n g l i g h t fl a s h e s
on the instrument panel.
O n v e h i c l e s fi t t e d w i t h d a y t i m e
lights, the function is only acti-
vated if the lights stalk is in the
dipped/main beam headlamps
position.
On starting, with the engine
running, the headlamps initial-
ise automatically and perform
a vertical sweep.
