This automatic air conditioning system

partment.
6-speed automatic gearbox
This equipment offers driving in auto-
adaptive mode enhanced by a selection
suited to dynamic driving conditions. Audio and communication systems

Cruise control/speed limiter
This cruise control system automatically
maintains the vehicle speed at the value
programmed by the driver, without any
action on the accelerator pedal.
The speed limiter system prevents
the vehicle from exceeding the pro-
grammed speed.

Braking system warning
light
This indicates:
- handbrake applied or incorrectly released,
- a n e x c e s s i v e d r o p i n t h e b r a k e fl u - id level, in this case linked with the
STOP warning light,
- an electronic brake force distribu- tion malfunction, linked with the
STOP warning light.
WARNING LIGHTS WHICH ARE DISPLAYED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL
Seat belt warning light
When the ignition is switched
on, the warning light comes
on if a front occupant has not
fastened his seat belt or if he
unfastens it.
Fuel warning light
In certain driving conditions
and depending on the en-
gine, the distance which you
will be able to travel with
the remaining fuel may be less than
30 miles (50 kilometres) (the capacity
of the tank is approximately 67 litres).
Emission control system
warning light
This should switch off a few
seconds after the engine is
switched on.
When the engine is running, if the
w a r n i n g l i g h t fl a s h e s o r c o m e s o n c o n -
tinuously, this indicates an emission
control system malfunction.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer as soon
as possible. Passenger air bag
disarmed warning light *
If the warning light remains
on, this indicates that the
passenger air bag has been
disarmed intentionally.
This warning light is re-
peated on the instrument
panel screen in the case
of the last 2 faults.
Stop immediately in the two latter
cases. Consult a PEUGEOT dealer. Anti-lock braking system
(ABS) warning light
If it comes on continuously
above 6 mph (10 km/h), it in-
dicates an ABS fault.
However, the vehicle retains conven-
tional servo-assisted braking.
Consult a PEUGEOT dealer.
This warning light is re-
peated on the instrument
panel screen.
Directional headlamps
warning light
W h e n t h i s fl a s h e s , i t i n d i -
cates a malfunction of the
directional headlamps.
Consult a PEUGEOT dealer. Diesel engine pre-heat
warning light
Wait for the warning light to
switch off before starting.
The duration of the display
is determined by the exterior
climatic conditions.
This warning light is re-
peated on the instrument
panel screen.

T h e a i r c o n d i t i o n i n g s y s t e m d o e s n o t
contain chlorine and is not harmful to
t h e o z o n e l a y e r .
O p e r a t e t h e a i r c o n d i t i o n i n g s y s t e m
for 5 to 10 minutes, once or twice a
m o n t h , t o k e e p i t i n p e r f e c t w o r k i n g
order.

Air diffuser
The air diffuser grille, located at the
t o p o f t h e c e n t r e c o n s o l e , s i g n i fi c a n t l y
i m p r o v e s d i s t r i b u t i o n a n d fl o w s a n d
p r e v e n t s a i r c u r r e n t s , w h i l e m a i n t a i n -
i n g a n o p t i m u m t e m p e r a t u r e i n s i d e t h e
p a s s e n g e r c o m p a r t m e n t .
Advice on operation
To obtain even ventilation,
avoid closing the air diffuser
grille 9 .
I n h o t w e a t h e r , i n o r d e r t o o b t a i n i n -
t e n s e v e n t i l a t i o n , y o u c a n c l o s e t h e a i r
diffuser grille 10 and use vents 1 and
5 o n l y .
I f , w h e n t h e v e h i c l e h a s b e e n p a r k e d
in the sun for a long time, the interior
t e m p e r a t u r e r e m a i n s v e r y h i g h , d o n o t
h e s i t a t e t o v e n t i l a t e t h e p a s s e n g e r
c o m p a r t m e n t f o r a f e w m i n u t e s .
For even air distribution, take care
not to obstruct the exterior air intake

air conditioning is recommended. It

is comfortable. There is no
n e e d t o c h a n g e t h e t e m p e r a t u r e d i s -
p l a y e d i n o r d e r t o o b t a i n r a p i d l y t h e
level of comfort required.
The automatic regulation of the air
conditioning will use its maximum
p e r f o r m a n c e s e t t i n g s t o c o r r e c t t h e
t e m p e r a t u r e d i f f e r e n c e a s q u i c k l y a s
p o s s i b l e .
