PROGRAMMABLE HEATING Programming remote control
T h e h e a t i n g s y s t e m p r o g r a m m i n g r e -
mote control consists of the following
b u t t o n s a n d d i s p l a y s :
1. S c r o l l i n g f u n c t i o n s m e n u b u t t o n s .
2. Function indicator lights: clock,
t e m p e r a t u r e , o p e r a t i n g t i m e , p r o -
g r a m m e d t i m e , h e a t e r o p e r a t i o n ,
h e a t i n g m a n a g e m e n t s y m b o l s .
3. D i g i t a l d i s p l a y s : t i m e , t e m p e r a t u r e ,
d u r a t i o n o f o p e r a t i o n , p r o g r a m m e d
t i m e o r l e v e l o f h e a t i n g .
4. O f f b u t t o n .

Reactivation of the interior
volumetric monitoring
Press the unlocking button on the
remote control to deactivate the
exterior perimeter monitoring.
Press the locking button on the
remote control to activate all the
monitoring functions.
The indicator lamp on the button again
fl a s h e s o n c e p e r s e c o n d . Triggering of the alarm
This is indicated by sounding of the
s i r e n a n d fl a s h i n g o f t h e d i r e c t i o n i n d i -
cators for thirty seconds.
The monitoring functions remain ac-
tive until the alarm has been triggered
eleven times in succession.
When the vehicle is unlocked using
t h e r e m o t e c o n t r o l , r a p i d fl a s h i n g o f
the indicator lamp on the button in-
forms you that the alarm was triggered
during your absence. When the igni-
t i o n i s s w i t c h e d o n , t h i s fl a s h i n g s t o p s
immediately.
Failure of the remote control
To deactivate the monitoring functions:
Unlock the vehicle using the key in
the driver's door lock.
Open the door; the alarm is trig-
gered.
Switch on the ignition; the alarm
stops. The indicator lamp on the
button switches off. Locking the vehicle without
activating the alarm
Lock or deadlock the vehicle using
the key in the driver's door lock.
Malfunction
W h e n t h e i g n i t i o n i s s w i t c h e d o n , fi x e d
lighting of the indicator lamp on the
button indicates a malfunction of the
system.
Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer.

Automatic activation *
2 minutes after the last door or the
boot is closed, the system is activated
automatically.
To avoid triggering the alarm on
e n t e r i n g t h e v e h i c l e , fi r s t p r e s s t h e
unlocking button on the remote
control.

Opening the tailgate and rear
screen
The tailgate and rear screen cannot
be opened at the same time.
With the rear screen closed, to open
the tailgate , operate the handle A ,
then lift the tailgate.
With the tailgate closed, to open the
rear screen , operate the handle B ,
then lift the rear screen.
The boot lighting is controlled by open-
ing the tailgate or the rear screen.
If the permanent locking of the
boot is activated, opening is
only possible by pressing the
remote control button.
Notes: the tailgate and rear
screen lock automatically when
driving at 6 mph (10 km/h) and
unlock when one of the doors
is opened.
When the rear wiper is in a wiping
position, the rear screen cannot be
opened until the end of the cycle.
Close the rear screen using the wiper
arm or by pressing the centre of the
glass.
To open the boot, press the push button
and raise the tailgate.
The locking or unlocking of the tailgate
and rear screen is simultaneous with
that of the doors. With the tailgate closed, to partially
open the
rear screen , press and hold
the unlocking button C on the remote
control.

Opening the tailgate and rear

"Rear screen open" warning
When the engine is running , if the
rear screen is not fully closed, you are
warned by a message on the multi-
function screen.
When the vehicle is moving (speed
greater than 6 mph (10 km/h)), if the
rear screen is not fully closed, you are
warned by an audible signal, a mes-
sage on the multifunction screen and
lighting of the service warning lamp. Tailgate release
This enables the tailgate to be un-
locked in the event of a central locking
fault.
- Fold back the rear seats to gain
access to the lock from inside the
boot.
- Insert a small screwdriver into hole A
of the lock to unlock the tailgate.

Safety anti-pinch
If the blind encounters an obstacle
during closing, it stops and partially
opens again.
You must reinitialise the safety anti-
p i n c h w i t h i n a m a x i m u m o f fi v e s e c -
onds after the blind has stopped:
- press part A of the control until the
blind is completely closed (closing
in stages of a few centimetres). PANORAMIC SUNROOF (407SW) In the event of contact du-
ring operation of the blind, you
must reverse its movement.
To do this, press the control
concerned.
When the driver operates the blind-
control, they must ensure that no one
is preventing the blind from closing
correctly.
The driver must ensure that the pas-
sengers use the blind correctly.
Pay attention to children during opera-
tion of the blind.
Notes :
Following reconnection of the battery,
in the event of a blind malfunction
while it is moving or immediately after
it has stopped, you must reinitialise
the safety anti-pinch:
- place the control in the fully open position (position "0"),
- wait until the blind is in the fully open position,
- press section A of the control for at
least three seconds.
In the event of unwanted opening of
the blind on closing, and immediately
after the blind has stopped:
- move the control to the fully closed position (9th setting to the left) then
press part A of the control straight
away,
- continue to press the control until the blind is fully closed.
The safety anti-pinch function is not
active during these operations.

panoramic sunroof which increases
the light and visibility in the passen-
ger compartment. Its electric blind im-
proves temperature conditions.
The blind is controlled electrically by
a dial with nine opening positions.
To close: turn the dial to the left (nine
possible settings).
To open: return the dial to the initial
position "0" .

LIGHTING CONTROL STALK
Lighting on
With the ignition off, on opening the
driver's door an audible signal indi-
cates that you have left the lighting on
when leaving the vehicle.
Switch the lighting off. Direction indicators
Dipped/main beam change
Pull the stalk fully towards you. Front and rear foglamps (ring B)
Turn ring B forwards to switch on
and rearwards to switch off. The

If you forget to return the di-
r e c t i o n i n d i c a t o r t o i t s n o r m a l

you are driving at a speed greater than
4 0 m p h ( 6 0 k m / h ) o r i f t h e c o n t r o l s t a l k
i s h e l d o n f o r m o r e t h a n 2 0 s e c o n d s .

Automatic illumination of
headlamps
T h e d i p p e d b e a m h e a d l a m p s s w i t c h
o n a u t o m a t i c a l l y i f t h e l i g h t i s p o o r a n d
when the windscreen wipers operate
continuously. They switch off when
the light is bright enough or the wind-
screen wipers stop.
Warning: in foggy weather or in snow,
t h e s u n s h i n e s e n s o r c a n d e t e c t s u f fi -
c i e n t l i g h t . T h e l i g h t i n g w i l l n o t c o m e
o n a u t o m a t i c a l l y . I f n e c e s s a r y , y o u
m u s t s w i t c h t h e d i p p e d b e a m h e a d -

l a m p s a n d d i p p e d b e a m h e a d l a m p s
can be left on for a few seconds.

lighting
When you leave your vehicle
with
the automatic illumination of head-
lamps a c t i v a t e d , t h e s i d e l a m p s a n d
d i p p e d b e a m h e a d l a m p s r e m a i n o n
for the duration selected after the igni-
tion is switched off.
Deactivation
When the function is deactivated,
t h e i n d i c a t o r l a m p c o m e s o n o n t h e
5 - d i a l i n s t r u m e n t p a n e l s c r e e n .
D o n o t c o v e r t h e s u n s h i n e /
brightness sensor, located in
the centre of the windscreen.
It is used to regulate the air
c o n d i t i o n i n g a n d f o r t h e a u t o m a t i c i l -
l u m i n a t i o n o f h e a d l a m p s .
If the sunshine/brightness sensor
does not function correctly, the
s i d e l a m p s a n d d i p p e d b e a m h e a d l a m -
p s c o m e o n .

With the key in the ignition on or start-
ing position, operate the relevant
switch.
T h e r e a r c o u r t e s y l a m p c o m e s o n
w h e n t h e i g n i t i o n k e y i s r e m o v e d , o n
unlocking the vehicle or on opening
one of the doors.
It gradually goes off after the ignition
has been switched on or the vehicle
is locked.
Pressing switch 1 turns on the rear
c o u r t e s y l a m p .
T h e c o u r t e s y l a m p c a n b e d e a c t i v a t -
ed by pressing switch 1 with the door
o p e n . T h e m a p r e a d i n g l a m p s a r e n o t
a f f e c t e d b y t h i s a n d m a y b e s w i t c h e d
on.
T o r e - a c t i v a t e t h e l a m p s , p r e s s t h e
switch, with the door open. With the key in the ignition on or start-
ing position, press the corresponding
switch.
T h e r e a r r e a d i n g l a m p s c o m e o n w h e n
t h e k e y i s r e m o v e d f r o m t h e i g n i t i o n
and when the vehicle is unlocked.
They switch off gradually when the ig-
nition is switched on or when the ve-
hicle is locked.
Pressing switch 1 switches on the
r e a r r e a d i n g l a m p c o n c e r n e d f o r
t e n m i n u t e s .
