FUEL TANK
The capacity of the tank is approxi-
mately 67 litres. When the low fuel level is
reached, this warning lamp
comes on in the instrument
panel, accompanied by an au-
dible signal and a message on the mul-
t i f u n c t i o n s c r e e n . W h e n i t fi r s t c o m e s
on, about 6 litres of fuel remains in
the tank.
If you run completely out of fuel
(Diesel), refer also to the "Checks"
section.
A l a b e l fi t t e d t o t h e i n s i d e o f t h e f u e l
fi l l e r fl a p i n d i c a t e s w h i c h t y p e o f f u e l
to use.
Additions of fuel must be of at least
5 litres to be taken into account by the
fuel gauge.
O p e n i n g t h e f u e l fi l l e r m a y p r o d u c e t h e
noise of an inrush of air. This vacuum
is entirely normal and results from the
sealing of the fuel system.
Low fuel warning
To refuel in complete safety:
you must switch off the engine,
o p e n t h e f u e l fi l l e r fl a p .
turn the cap to the left.
remove the cap and hang the end
on the hook located on the inside
o f t h e fl a p .
fi l l t h e t a n k , b u t do not continue
after the third cut-off of the noz-
zle ; this may cause malfunctions.
A f t e r fi l l i n g t h e t a n k :
r e fi t t h e c a p ,
c l o s e t h e fl a p .
Operating fault
A fuel gauge fault is indicated by the
fuel guage needle returning to zero.
Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer.

LIGHTING CONTROL STALK
Lighting on
With the ignition off, on opening the
driver's door an audible signal indi-
cates that you have left the lighting on
when leaving the vehicle.
Switch the lighting off. Direction indicators
Dipped/main beam change
Pull the stalk fully towards you. Front and rear foglamps (ring B)
Turn ring B forwards to switch on
and rearwards to switch off. The

If you forget to return the di-
r e c t i o n i n d i c a t o r t o i t s n o r m a l
p o s i t i o n , t h e v o l u m e o f t h e
audible signal will increase, if
you are driving at a speed greater than
4 0 m p h ( 6 0 k m / h ) o r i f t h e c o n t r o l s t a l k
i s h e l d o n f o r m o r e t h a n 2 0 s e c o n d s .

Disarming the front
passenger's front air bag * Reactivation
As soon as the child seat is removed,
turn the air bag slot to the
"ON" position
to re-activate the air bag and thus ensure
its safety function.
To ensure the safety of your child, it
is essential to disarm the passenger
air bag when you install a rear-facing
child seat on the front passenger seat.
Otherwise, the child would risk being
seriously injured or killed if the air bag
w e r e t o i n fl a t e .
With the ignition switched off
,
insert the key into the passenger air
bag disarming switch, turn it to the
"OFF" position, then remove the key
keeping the slot in this position. The knee airbag protects the driver's
knees in the event of a serious front
impact.

steering column.
In the event of a malfunction
* According to country. Triggering
It is deployed at the same time as the
front airbags.
Instrument panel warning lamp.
If this warning lamp comes on, ac-
companied by an audible signal and a
message on the multifunction screen,
contact a PEUGEOT dealer to have
the system checked. The airbags may
no longer be deployed in the event of
a serious impact. Knee airbag
When the ignition is on, this
warning light remains lit on the
instrument panel for the duration
of disarming.
In the "OFF" position, the passenger
air bag will not be triggered in the event
of an impact.
