Some lamps have a fixed location, the others
can alter location.
For certain functions that have indicator lamps
for both operation and for deactivation, there is
only one dedicated location.

Customisation of the
instrument panel
You can modify the appearance of the
instrument panel, by choosing:

he instrument panel display colour (with
i- Cockpit® Amplify function),

Display language and units
They depend on the configuration of the
touch screen.
When travelling abroad, the speed must
be shown in the official units of the
country you are driving in (mph, miles or
km/h, km).

Fuel gauge.
2. Analogue speedometer (mph or km/h).
3. Gear shift indicator.
Gear with an automatic gearbox.
4. Digital speedometer (mph or km/h).
5. Cruise control or speed limiter setting,
display of speed limit signs.

Warning and indicator
lamps
Associated warnings
The illumination of a lamp can be accompanied
by an audible signal and/or a message
displayed in a screen.
Relating the type of alert to the operating status
of the vehicle allows you to determine whether
the situation is normal or a fault has occurred:
refer to the description of each lamp for further
information.
When the ignition is switched on
Certain red or orange warning lamps come on
for a few seconds when the ignition is switched
on. These warning lamps should go off as soon
as the engine is started.
Persistent warning lamp
When the engine is running or the vehicle is
being driven, the illumination of a red or orange
warning lamp indicates a fault that needs
further investigation, using any associated
message and the description of the warning
lamp in the documentation.
Where a lamp remains lit
The references (1), (2) and (3) in the warning
and indicator lamp description indicate whether
you should contact a qualified professional
in addition to the immediate recommended
actions.
(1) : You must stop as soon as it is safe to do
so and switch off the ignition.
(2): Contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified
workshop.
(3) : Go to a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified
workshop.
As a safety measure, these adjustments
must be carried out with the vehicle
stationary. Displayed as symbols, visual indicators
which inform the driver of the occurrence of a
malfunction (warning lamps) or of the operating
status of a system (operation or deactivation
indicator lamps). Certain lamps light up in
two ways (fixed or flashing) and/or in several
colours.

From the boot (SW)
Repositioning the backrests
First check that the outer seat belts are
lying vertically flat alongside the backrest
latching rings.

ull lever 2 towards you to unlock the
backrest.
Backrest 3 folds fully onto the cushion.
Please note: an incorrectly latched
backrest compromises the safety of
passengers in the event of sudden braking
or an impact.
The contents of the boot may be thrown
for ward – risk of severe injury!
i-Cockpit® Amplify
function
This function allows the driving ambiences to
be managed.
Specific system settings are offered for each
ambience.
These ambiences can be customised in the
touch screen.

Ease of use and comfort

Steering mounted controls
In mode M or D, the steering mounted control
paddles allow the driver to change gear
manually.
These paddles cannot be used to engage
neutral, nor to select or leave reverse
g e a r.
Displays in the instrument
panel
If the driver's door is opened with the
ignition on, a message is displayed asking
you to put the gearbox into mode P .
The state of the gearbox is displayed in
the instrument panel for a few moments
after switching off the ignition.
Operation
With the engine running, if it is necessary to
press the brake pedal or the Unlock button
in order to change mode, an alert message is
displayed in the instrument panel.
Only appropriate attempted changes of mode
are accepted. With the engine running and the brakes
released, if R
, D or M is selected, the
vehicle moves off, even without pressing
the accelerator pedal.
Never press the accelerator and brake
pedals at the same time – risk of damage
to the gearbox!
In the event of a battery failure, you
must place the chock supplied with the
vehicle tools against one of the wheels to
immobilise the vehicle.

Do not leave the vehicle while it is being
held temporarily by hill start assist.
If you need to leave the vehicle with the
engine running, apply the parking brake
manually then ensure that the parking
brake warning lamp and the indicator
lamp P in the control lever of the electric
parking brake are on fixed.
The hill start assist function cannot be
deactivated. However, use of the parking
brake to immobilise the vehicle interrupts
its operation.
Operation
Uphill, with the vehicle stationar y, the
vehicle is held for a shor t time when you
release the brake pedal:

rovided you are in first gear or neutral on a
manual gearbox.

rovided you are in mode D or M with an
automatic gearbox. Downhill, with the vehicle stationary and
reverse gear engaged, the vehicle is held
for a shor t time when you release the brake
pedal.
Operating fault
If a fault in the system occurs, these warning
lamps come on.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified
workshop to have the system checked.
Active Suspension
Control
This suspension can modulate itself to the
following parameters: state and profile of the
road, load of the vehicle, driving style and
selected driving mode.
The mode can be selected using the driving
modes control on the central console.
For more information on the Driving modes
,
refer to the corresponding section. It is managed by a control unit, which interprets
the data transmitted by different sensors to
apply the optimal level of damping to each
shock absorber according to these parameters.
It offers three modes: Comfort , Normal and
Sport .
In Comfort mode, it favours soft damping to
improve comfort on poor road sur faces.
In Normal mode, it offers the best compromise
between comfort and handling.
In Sport mode, it favours firm damping to limit
body movements.
Driving modes
These various driving modes offered
correspond to specific vehicle settings.
This choice of driving modes depends on the
vehicle’s equipment.
Each time the ignition is switched on, " Normal"
is selected by default.

"ECO" mode
This reduces fuel consumption, but limits
the performance of the heating and air
conditioning, without however deactivating
them.
Free-wheeling in " ECO" mode: depending on
version, with the EAT8 gearbox, moving into
"free-wheeling" is encouraged to slow the
vehicle down without using engine braking. You can economise on fuel by taking your foot
fully off the accelerator pedal to anticipate
slowing down.
"Comfort" mode
(with Active Suspension Control)
Allows for more comfortable driving and a
softer action of the suspension.
"Normal" mode
To return to the vehicle’s original settings.Together with Active Suspension Control, it
offers the best compromise between comfort
and handling.
"Sport" mode
Depending on version, it allows more dynamic
driving.
Permanent "Manual" mode
(with automatic gearbox and Full Park
Assist)
It allows the manual changing of gears using
the steering wheel-mounted paddles.

Driving

If the system detects that the driver is not
holding the wheel firmly enough during
an automatic correction of trajectory,
it interrupts the correction. An alert is
triggered to encourage the driver to take
back control of the vehicle.
Driving situations and

To benefit from all necessary information in the
instrument panel, you must previously select
the "DRIVING" display mode.
The table below describes the alerts and
messages displayed depending on the driving

Maximum authorised load distributed over
the transverse roof bars, for a load height
not exceeding 40 cm (with the exception

bicycle carriers):

If the height exceeds 40
cm, adapt the
speed of the vehicle to the profile of the
road to avoid damaging the roof bars and
the vehicle's fixing points.
For transporting objects which are longer
than the vehicle, refer to local legislation.
Recommendations
Distribute the load uniformly, taking care
to avoid overloading one of the sides.
Arrange the heaviest part of the load as
close as possible to the roof.
Secure the load firmly.
Drive gently: the vehicle will be more
susceptible to the effects of side winds
and its stability may be affected.
Regularly check the correct locking of the
roof bars, at least before each trip.
Remove the roof bars once they are no
longer needed.
If you use a roof box, contact a PEUGEOT
dealer or a qualified workshop to obtain
the compatible fixing parts. Sunroof
Do not operate the sunroof when using
roof bars – risk of major damage!
Bicycle/Accessory Carrier
Do not fit an accessory carrier to the
tailgate.
Bonnet
For more information about the Active bonnet ,
refer to the corresponding section. The location of the interior bonnet release
lever prevents opening of the bonnet when
the left-hand front door is shut.
When the engine is hot, handle the
exterior safety catch with care (risk of
burns), using the protected area.
When the bonnet is open, take care not to
damage the safety catch.
Do not open the bonnet under very windy
conditions.
The cooling fan may star t after
switching off the engine: take care
with articles and clothing that might
be
caught by the fan blades.

deactivate the Stop & Start system to
