Warning lampis onCauseAction/Obser vations
Electric parking brake flashing. The electric parking brake is not applied automatically. The application/release is faulty.
You must stop as soon as it is safe to do so. Park on level ground, switch off the ignition and contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
Electric parking brake fault fixed. The electric parking brake has a fault. Contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop without delay.
The parking brake can be released manually. For more information on the electric parking brake, refer to the "Driving" section.
Braking fixed. The braking system fluid level has dropped significantly. You must stop as soon as it is safe to do so. Top up with brake fluid listed by PEUGEOT. If the problem persists, have the system checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.

The electronic brake force distribution (EBFD) system has a fault. You must stop as soon as it is safe to do so. Have it checked by a PEUGEOT or a qualified workshop.
Deactivation of the automatic functions of the electric parking brake
fixed. The "automatic application" (on switching off the engine) and "automatic release" functions are deactivated or faulty.
Activate the function (according to country) via th e vehicle configuration menu or contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop if automatic applicatio n/release is not possible. The parking brake can be released manually using th e emergency release procedure. For more information on the electric parking brake, refer to the "Driving" section.

Checks
Checking leve ls
Check all of these levels regularly and top them up if necessary, unless other wise indicated. If a level drops significantly, have the corresponding system checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified wo rkshop.
When working under the bonnet, take care, as cer tain areas of the engine may be extremely hot (risk of burns).
Oil level
The check is carried out either when the ignition is switched on using the oil level indicator on the instrument panel, or using the dipstick. This manual check will only be correct if the vehicle is on level ground and the engine has been off for more than 30 minutes. After topping up the oil, the check when switching on the ignition with the oil level indicator in the instrument panel will only be valid 30 minutes after topping up.
Engine oil change
Refer to the Warranty and Maintenance Record for details of the inter val for this operation. In order to maintain the reliability of the engine and emission control system, the use of additives in the engine oil is prohibited.

The oil must be the correct grade for your engine and conform to the manufacturer's recommendations.
The brake fluid level should be close to the "MA X" mark. If it is not, check the brake pad wear.

Brake wear depends on the style of driving, par ticularly in the case of vehicles used in town, over shor t distances. It may be necessary to have the condition of the brakes checked, even between vehicle ser vices. Unless there is a leak in the system, a drop in the brake fluid level indicates that the brake pads are worn.

Manual parking brake
If a loss of effectiveness of this system is noticed, the parking brake must be checked, even between
two ser vices. Checking this system must be done by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
Electric parking brake
This system does not require any routine ser vicing. However, in the event of a problem, have the system checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop. For more information, see "Driving - Electric parking brake - § Operating faults".
Only use products recommended by PEUGEOT or products of equivalent quality and specification.
In order to optimise the operation of units as impor tant as the braking system, PEUGEOT selects and offers
very specific products. To avoid damaging the electrical units, the use of a high pressure washer in the engine compar tment is strictly prohibited .
