T h e r e i s a l o n g w a i t i n g p e r i o d f o l l o w i n g t h e i n s e r t i o n of a CD or connection of a USB memory stick.
When a new medium is inserted, the system reads a certain amount of d a t a ( d i r e c t o r y , t i t l e , a r t i s t , e t c . ) . T h i s m a y t a k e f r o m a f e w s e c o n d s t o a few minutes.
This phenomenon is normal.
