Practical information
The fitting of electrical equipmentor accessories which are notrecommended by PEUGEOT may result in a failure of your vehicle's electronic system and excessive electricalconsumption.Please note this precaution. You are advised to contact a PEUGEOT representative to be shown the rangeof recommended equipment andaccessories.



Installation of radio communication transmitters

Before installing any after-market radio communication transmitter, you can contact a PEUGEOT dealer for the specification of transmitters which canbe fitted (frequency, maximum power, aerial position, specific installation
requirements), in line with the VehicleElectromagnetic Compatibility Directive(2004/10 4/EC).


Depending on the legislation in force in the country, it may be compulsoryto have a high visibility safety vest, warning triangle and spare bulbs and fuses available in the vehicle. You can also obtain products
for cleaning and
maintenance (exterior and interior) and topping up fluids (screenwash, ...), as well as refills(cartridge for temporary tyre repair kit...) fromPEUGEOT dealers.

RECEIVING TA MESSAGES

The TA (Traf
fi c Announcement) function gives priority to TA alert messages. To operate, this function needs good reception of a radio station transmitting this type of message. When a traf fi c report
is transmitted, the current audio source (Radio, CD, USB, ...) isinterrupted automatically to play the TA message. Normal playbackof the audio source resumes at the end of the transmission of themessage.

FIRST CONNECTION For reasons of safety and because they require prolonged attention on the part of the driver, the operations for pairing the Bluetooth
mobile telephone to the hands-free system of the audio unit must becarried out with the vehicle stationary.
Activate the telephone's Bluetooth
function and ensure that it is "shown to all" (telephone con fi guration).

SELECTING A STATION
The external environment (hill, building, tunnel, underground car park...) may interfere with the reception, including in RDS station tracking mode. This phenomenon is a normal result of the way in which radio waves are transmitted and does not in any way indicate a fault with the audiosystem.

PRESETTING A STATION
After selecting a station, press one of
the buttons on the numerical keypad for 2 seconds to preset the current station.
An audible si
gnal confi rms that the
station has been preset.
The qualit
y of reception is represented by the number of active waves in this
symbol.

09MUSIC MEDIA PLAYERS

CD, MP3 CD / USB PLAYER
The audio equipment will only play audio fi les with ".wma, .aac, . fl ac, .ogg and .mp3" fi le extensions and with a bit rate of between 32 Kbps
and 320 Kbps.
It also supports VBR
(Variable Bit Rate) mode.
No other t
ype of fi le (.mp4, .m3u...) can be played.
WMA fi les must be of the standard wma 9 t
ype.
The samplin
g rates supported are 11, 22, 44 and 48 KHz.
It is advisable to restrict fi le names to 20 characters, without usin
g of special characters (e.g.:" " ? ; ù) to avoid any playing and displayingproblems.
In order to be able to play a recorded
CDR or CDRW, when recording
it is preferable to select the ISO 9660 level 1, 2 or Joliet standard.
I
f the disc is recorded in another format it may not be played correctly.
It is recommended that the same recordin
g standard is always used
for an individual disc, with as low a speed as possible (4x maximum)for optimum sound quality.
In the particular case of a multi-session CD, the Joliet standard is
recommended.
INFORMATION AND ADVICE
The s
ystem supports USB mass storage or iPod
devices via the USB port (suitable cable not supplied).

Control of the peripheral device is with the audiosystem controls.

Other peripherals, not recognised on connection, must
be connected to the auxiliary socket using a Jack cable (not supplied).
In order to be read, a U
SB memory stick must be formatted FAT 16
or 32.

AUDIO STREAMING
Streaming allows audio fi les on your telephone to be played via the
vehicle's speakers.
Connect the telephone: see "USING THE TELEPHONE".
Select " Audio " or " All" profi le.
I
f play does not start automatically, it may be necessary to start the audio playback from the telephone.
Control is from the peripheral device or b
y using the audio system buttons.
Once connected in streaming mode, the telephone is considered to bea media source.
It is recommended that you activate "
Repeat" on the Bluetooth
peripheral.

CONNECTING APPLE ®
PLAYERS
Connect the Apple ®player to the USB port using a suitable cable (not supplied).

fi cations available are those of the portable deviceconnected (artists / albums / genres / playlists / audiobooks / podcasts).
The default classi fi cation used is b
y artist. To modify the classi fi cationused, return to the fi rst level of the menu then select the desired classi fi cation (playlists for example) and con fi rm to go down through
the menu to the desired track.
The version o
f software in the audio system may not be compatible
with the generation of your Apple® player.®
