Airbags

On temporarily. When you switch on the ignition, this
warning lamp comes on for a few seconds, then goes off. If it does not
go off, contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.

On fixed. Fault with one of the airbag or seat
belt pretensioner systems. Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified
workshop.
Protection system for themain battery
On fixed. The state of charge of the main battery is too low or the temperature
of the main battery is too low... The power
from the motor is limited.
Charge the main battery as soon as possible.
If the warning lamp does not go off contact a
PEUGEOT dealer or qualified workshop.
Self-diagnosis system of the main electricalcircuit
On fixed. Fault in the main electrical circuit. You must stop as soon as it is safe to do so.
have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified
workshop.
Front seat beltnot fastened/unfastened

General points relating to child seats

For maximum safety, please obser ve the following recommendations:


- in accordance with European regulations,
all children under the age of 12 or less
than one and a half metres tall must
travel in a
pproved child seats suited to
their weight , on seats fitted with a seat
belt or ISOFIX mountings * ,-statistically, the safest seats in your
vehicle for carrying children are the rear seats, -
a child weighing less than 9 kg must
travel in the "rearwards-facing" position both in the front and in the rear.
PEUGEOT recommends that childrenshould travel in the rear seats
of your vehicle: -"rearwards-facing"
up to the age of 2, -"forwards-facing"over the age of 2.
Although one of PEUGEOT's main criteria when designing your vehicle, the safety of your children
also depends on you.

PEUGEOT offers a complete range of recommended child seats which are secured using a three point seat belt:
Group 0+: from bir th to 13 kg
L1"RÖMER Baby-Safe Plus"
Installed in the rear wards-facing position.
Groups 2 and 3: from 15 to 36 kg
L3"RECARO Start''
L4"KLIPPAN Optima"From the age of 6 years(approximately 22 kg), the booster is usedon its own.
L5"RÖMER KIDFIX" Can be fitted to the vehicle's ISOFIX mountings.
The child is restrained by the seat belt.

ISOFIX child seat recommended by PEUGEOT and approved for
your vehicle

ISOFIXRÖMER Duo Plus
(size category B1)
Group 1: from 9 to 18 kg


Installed in the for ward facing position.
Fitted with an upper strap to be secured on the ISOFIX upper ring,
referred to as the TOP TETHER. Three seat body angles: sitting, reclining, lying.
This child seat can also be used on seats which are not fitted with ISOFIX mountings. In this case, it must be attached to the vehicle seat using the three point seat belt.Follow the instructions for fitting the child seat given in the seat manufacturer's installation guide.

The incorrect installation of a child seat in a vehicle compromises the child's protection inthe event of an accident.
When installing a child seat using the seat belt,check that the seat belt is tightened correctly on the child seat and that it secures the childseat firmly on the seat of your vehicle.
Remember to fasten the seat belts or the childseat harnesses keeping the slackin relationkto the child's body to a minimum, even for short journeys.
For optimum installation of the "forwards-facing" child seat, ensure that the back of the child seat is in contact with the back of thevehicle's seat and that the head restraint doesnot cause any discomfort.
If the head restraint has to be removed, ensurethat it is stored or attached securely to prevent it from being thrown around the vehicle in theevent of sharp braking. Children under the age of 10 must not travel in the "forwards-facing" position on the frontpassenger seat, unless the rear seats arealready occupied by other children, cannot beused or are absent.
Deactivate the passenger airbag
* when a"rearwards-facing" child seat is installed onthe front seat. Other wise, the child would risk being seriously injured or killed if the airbag
were to inflate.

Advice on child seats
Installing a booster seat
The chest par t of the seat belt must bepositioned on the child's shoulder without
touching the neck.Ensure that the lap part of the seat beltpasses correctly over the child's thighs.PEUGEOT recommends the use of abooster seat which has a back, fitted with aseat belt guide at shoulder level.
As a safety precaution, do not leave: - one or more children alone andunsuper vised in a vehicle, - a child or an animal in a vehicle whichis exposed to the sun, with the windows closed, - the keys within reach of children inside the vehicle. To prevent accidental opening of the doors, use the "Child lock". Take care not to open the rear windows bymore than one third.To protect young children from the rays of the sun, fit side blinds on the rear windows.

Front seat belt not fastened/
unfastened warning lamp

If the driver does not fasten their seat belt
within one minute after switching on the
ignition, the warning lamp flashes accompanied
by an intermittent audible signal.
After about 90 seconds, the warning lamp, the
audible signal and the display stop, and then
return until the driver fastens their seat belt.
If the seat belt is unfastened while the vehicle is moving
, you are warned by the same alerts.

Th
e front seat belts are fitted with a
pretensioning and force limiting system.
This system improves safety in the frontseats in the event of a front or side impact.
Depending on the severity of the impact, thepretensioning system instantly tightens the seat
belts against the body of the occupants.
The pretensioning seat belts are active when
the ignition is on.
The force limiter reduces the pressure of the seat belt on the chest of the occupant, so
improving their protection.
