Tyre under-inflation
detection
System which automatically checks the
pressures of all four tyres from when the
ignition is switched on.
The pressure sensors are located in the valves
of each tyre.
The system triggers an alert as soon as
it detects a drop in the pressure of one or
more tyres by comparison with the reference
pressure stored in the system. This reference
pressure must be reinitialised after every tyre
pressure adjustment or wheel change.
The system operates provided that the
sensor identifiers have been first logged by a
PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
You can log two sets of tyres (for example:
wheels with "all weather" tyres and wheels with
"winter" tyres).
The tyre under-inflation detection system
is a driving aid which does not replace the
need for vigilance on the part of the driver.
F Take your foot off the brake pedal, and the vehicle will move at a low speed to make
manoeuvring easier.
F
A

o reinitialise the under-inflation detection
system press button A and hold it down for
at least 3
seconds.
The flashing of the warning lamp in the
instrument panel confirms that the system has
been reinitialised.
The warning lamp will then go off after driving
for about a hundred metres.
The under-inflation alert can only be relied
on if the reinitialisation of the system has
been done with the pressures in the four
tyres correctly adjusted.
Malfunction
The flashing and then fixed
illumination of the under-inflation
warning lamp indicates a fault with
the system.
In this case, the pressure in the tyres is no
longer monitored.
This alert is also displayed if:
-
o
ne or more wheels is not fitted with a
sensor,
-
t
here is a wireless device using the same
frequency near the vehicle,
-
t
here is snow or ice build-up in the wings or
in the rims,
-
t
he tyre pressure monitoring system battery
charge level is insufficient,
-
t
he wheel sensor identifiers have not been
logged by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified
workshop.
Go to a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified
workshop
to have the system checked or,
following a puncture, to have the original
wheel, equipped with a sensor, refitted
with a tyre. Any tyre repair or replacement on a wheel
fitted with this system must be carried
out by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified
workshop.
If you fit the second set of tyres stored
in the system, the malfunction alert will
appear until this second set is selected in
the configuration menu.
Managing sets of tyres
If you have registered a second set of tyres with
a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop,
every time the set of tyres is changed (e.g.
"winter" tyre), select the set you have just
installed in the configuration menu.
Once the new set has been fitted, check
and adjust the pressure to the value stated
on the tyre pressure label.
For more information on the
Identification markings , refer to the
corresponding section.
The other set of tyres is selected via the
instrument panel display screen, with the
ignition on and the vehicle stationary.
