T h e fi t t i n g o f e l e c t r i c a l e q u i p m e n t or accessories which are not recommended by PEUGEOT may result in a failure of your vehicle's electronic system. Depending on the country in which the vehicle is sold, it is compulsory to have a high visibility jacket, warning triangle and spare bulbs available in the vehicle.
"Active Fleet Data" telematic unit
Connected directly to the heart of the vehicle (multiplexed network: "Full CAN"), the telematic unit, by means of a "ready to use" service, permits the sending in real time of information such as:
- distance travelled,
- distance remaining before the next service,
- warnings and faults (oil level, coolant level, oil temperature, coolant temperature, etc...).
This enables "Fleet" managers to optimise the monitoring and management of their professional vehicles.

BATTERY
Before disconnecting the battery, you
must wait for 2 minutes after switching
off the ignition.
Never disconnect a terminal when the
engine is running.
N e v e r c h a r g e a b a t t e r y w i t h o u t fi r s t
disconnecting the terminals.
After every reconnection of the battery,
switch on the ignition and wait 1 minute
before starting to allow the electronic
systems to be initialised. If slight
d i f fi c u l t i e s a r e e x p e r i e n c e d a f t e r t h i s ,
p l e a s e c o n t a c t a P E U G E O T d e a l e r .
After changing bulbs, wait
a p p r o x i m a t e l y 3 m i n u t e s b e f o r e
reconnecting the battery. It is advisable to disconnect the
battery if the vehicle is not to be used
f o r a p e r i o d o f m o r e t h a n o n e m o n t h .
To charge the battery using a
battery charger
- Disconnect the battery,
- Follow the instructions for use
given by the battery charger
manufacturer,
- Reconnect starting with the negative (-) terminal,
- Check that the terminals and connectors are clean. If they are
c o v e r e d w i t h s u l p h a t e ( w h i t e o r
g r e e n i s h d e p o s i t ) , d i s c o n n e c t t h e m
and clean them.
To start the vehicle from
another battery
- Connect the red cable to the p o s i t i v e ( + ) t e r m i n a l s o f t h e
two batteries,
- Connect one end of the green or black cable to the negative (-)
terminal of the slave battery,
- Connect the other end of the green o r b l a c k c a b l e t o a n e a r t h p o i n t o n
the broken down vehicle as far as
p o s s i b l e f r o m t h e b a t t e r y ,
- O p e r a t e t h e s t a r t e r , l e t t h e e n g i n e run,
- Wait for the engine to return to idle, then disconnect the cables. A f t e r t h e e n g i n e h a s s t o p p e d , w i t h
t h e k e y i n t h e i g n i t i o n p o s i t i o n , c e r t a i n
f u n c t i o n s ( w i n d s c r e e n w i p e r , e l e c t r i c
windows, courtesy lights, audio
e q u i p m e n t , e t c . ) c a n o n l y b e u s e d f o r a
cumulative duration of thirty minutes, to
p r e v e n t d i s c h a r g i n g o f t h e b a t t e r y .
O n c e t h e t h i r t y m i n u t e s a r e o v e r , t h e
a c t i v e f u n c t i o n s a r e p u t o n s t a n d b y
a n d t h e b a t t e r y w a r n i n g l i g h t fl a s h e s
a c c o m p a n i e d b y a m e s s a g e o n t h e
d i s p l a y .
T o r e s u m e t h e u s e o f t h e s e f u n c t i o n s
immediately, start the engine and let it
run for a few minutes.
T h e t i m e a v a i l a b l e w i l l t h e n b e d o u b l e
the time for which the engine was left
running. However, this time will always
b e b e t w e e n fi v e a n d t h i r t y m i n u t e s .
A fl a t b a t t e r y w i l l p r e v e n t t h e e n g i n e
from starting.

o r d e r t o r e fi t e a c h b u l b a n d c h e c k t h a t
the bonnet is closed securely.
Type C
Halogen bulb: release the
r e t a i n i n g s p r i n g f r o m i t s
housing.
Type B
B a y o n e t b u l b : p r e s s
on the bulb then turn it
anticlockwise.
Halogen bulbs must be changed
w i t h t h e h e a d l a m p o f f . W a i t a f e w
minutes (risk of serious burns).
Do not touch the bulb directly with your
fi n g e r s , u s e l i n t - f r e e c l o t h s .
It is normal for condensation to form
i n s i d e t h e h e a d l a m p s . R e g u l a r u s e o f
the vehicle eliminates this misting. T h e b u l b s m u s t b e c h a n g e d w i t h
the ignition off or with the battery
d i s c o n n e c t e d . W a i t a p p r o x i m a t e l y
3 minutes after changing the bulb
before reconnecting the battery.

Type B

- R e m o v e t h e c o v e r b y p u l l i n g t h e fl e x i b l e r u b b e r t a b .
- T u r n t h e b u l b h o l d e r a q u a r t e r turn anticlockwise.
- R e m o v e t h e b u l b b y p r e s s i n g it lightly while turning it
anticlockwise.
- Change the bulb.
- E n s u r e t h a t t h e c o v e r i s r e fi t t e d c o r r e c t l y o v e r i t s e n t i r e p e r i p h e r y
to guarantee sealing.
2. Side lights
Type A W 5 W - 5 W
- R e m o v e t h e c o v e r b y p u l l i n g t h e fl e x i b l e r u b b e r t a b .
- R e m o v e t h e b u l b h o l d e r fi t t e d b y p r e s s u r e b y p u l l i n g t h e c o n n e c t o r .
- Change the bulb.
- E n s u r e t h a t t h e c o v e r i s r e fi t t e d c o r r e c t l y o v e r i t s e n t i r e p e r i p h e r y
to guarantee sealing.
FRONT LIGHTS
1. Dipped headlamps/Main beam

Type C H4 - 55 W
- Remove the centre cover by p u l l i n g t h e fl e x i b l e r u b b e r t a b .
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Release the retaining tab.
- Change the bulb taking care t o a l i g n t h e m e t a l p a r t w i t h t h e
grooves on the light.
- R e p o s i t i o n t h e r e t a i n i n g t a b .
- E n s u r e t h a t t h e c o v e r i s r e fi t t e d c o r r e c t l y o v e r i t s e n t i r e p e r i p h e r y
to guarantee sealing.

- M o v e t h e m u d g u a r d u p w a r d s .
- U n c l i p t h e f o g l a m p b y s q u e e z i n g t h e c l i p t o r e l e a s e i t .
- R e m o v e t h e f o g l a m p f r o m t h e o u t s i d e .
- T u r n t h e y e l l o w c o v e r a 1 / 4 t u r n t o o p e n .
- S e p a r a t e t h e c l i p s w h i c h s e c u r e t h e base of bulb on each side to release the
bulb.
- R e m o v e t h e b u l b b y p u l l i n g , k e e p i n g i t straight.
- I n s e r t t h e n e w b u l b , r e - t i g h t e n t h e c l i p s around the base of the bulb and carry
o u t t h e o p e r a t i o n s i n r e v e r s e o r d e r t o
p u t t h e l i g h t u n i t a n d t h e b u m p e r b a c k i n
p o s i t i o n .
SIDE REPEATER
Type A

- C l i p t h e l e n s i n i t s h o u s i n g a n d ensure that it is secured correctly.

REAR LIGHTS
- I d e n t i f y t h e f a u l t y b u l b t h e n o p e n t h e r e a r d o o r s t o 1 8 0 ° .
Refer to the "Accesses" section of c h a p t e r 2 .
- R e m o v e t h e t w o fi x i n g b o l t s u s i n g the screwdriver stored in the tool kit
under the right-hand seat.
- P u l l t h e l i g h t u n i t f r o m t h e o u t s i d e .
- Holding the light, disconnect the electrical connector.
W h e n r e fi t t i n g , t a k e c a r e t o
r e p o s i t i o n t h e t a b s a n d t h e s u p p l y
w i r e c o r r e c t l y t o a v o i d t r a p p i n g t h e
wire.
After changing the rear direction
indicator bulb, the reinitialisation time is
m o r e t h a n a p p r o x i m a t e l y 2 m i n u t e s .
- M o v e a s i d e t h e 4 t a b s t h e n e x t r a c t
the bulb holder.
- Remove the faulty bulb by p r e s s i n g i t l i g h t l y w h i l e t u r n i n g i t
anticlockwise.

- If necessary, disconnect the connector to remove the light.
- Change the bulb.
With tailgate
- M o v e a s i d e t h e p l a s t i c l e n s u s i n g a
screwdriver.
- Change the bulb.
- R e p l a c e t h e p l a s t i c l e n s a n d p r e s s on it.
THIRD BRAKE LIGHT
Type A, W 16 W - 16 W
With hinged doors
- U n c l i p t h e i n t e r i o r t r i m .
- Disconnect the connector by moving aside its tab.
- T u r n t h e b u l b h o l d e r a q u a r t e r t u r n anticlockwise.
- Change the bulb.
- P u t t h e b u l b h o l d e r b a c k i n p l a c e and reconnect the connector.
- P u t t h e t r i m b a c k i n p l a c e .
