Never leaveyourvehicle unattended withthe
key inthe ignition lock,especially ifchildren
and/or petsareleftunattended inthe vehi-

Pitting mayoccur ifmetallic particles whichcause
contact corrosion (e.g.brass orcopper inbrake
dust) areallowed toremain onthe aluminum for
too long.

Ifpossible, washthewheels withasponge or
wash brush about everytwoweeks. Inareas
where saltisspread onwinter roadsorthere
is alot ofairborne industrial dust,itis best to
clean thewheels weekly.
The Porsche LightAlloyWheel Cleaner
(ph-value 9.5)canbeused forthis pur-
pose.
If the ph-value ofthe detergent isincor-
rect, theprotective coatingonthe wheels
will
bedestroyed.
Polishes whichdissolve oxides,suchasthose
frequently usedforother metals, orabrasive
tools oragents areunsuitable becausethey
break downtheoxide filmofthe protective
coating andwillcause discoloration ofthe
wheel.

Every threemonths, aftercleaning, coatthe
wheels withacar wax ornon-<:orrosive grease
(vaseline).
Using aclean cloththoroughly rubthe grease
into thesurface.
Leather
Characteristics andspecial features
The natural surface markings ofleather, e.g.
creases, healedscars,insectstingmarks, struc-
tural differences andslight variations inshade and
grain addtothe attractiveness ofthe natural leath-
er product.
A special mention mustbemade hereofnatural
leather.
For natural leather, carefully selected hidesofthe
highest qualityareused. Itis not covered com-
pletely withdyeonproduction.
"Nature's signature" istherefore easilyrecognis-
able.
This finematerial isdistinguished byanoutstand-
ing seating comfort, specialsuppleness andatyp-
ical patina.
Leather
careandtreatment

Clean alltypes ofleather regularly toremove
fine dust using asoft, damp, whitewoollen
cloth oracommercially availablemicrofibre
cloth.

Remove heavycontamination withPorsche
leather cleaner.
Please alwaysfollowtheinstructions foruse
given onthe containers.
Caustic cleaners andhard cleaning objects
must notbeused.
Perforated leathermustunder nocircum-
stances getwet onitsreverse side.
Once cleaned, leather(particularly theheavily
stressed leatherseats)mustbetreated onlywith
Porsche leathercareliquid.
