Porschealsorecognizesthatthesefuelsmaynotalwaysbeavailable.Beassuredthatyourvehiclewilloperateproperlyonunleadedpremiumfuelswithoctanenumbersofatleast95RON(90CLCorAKI),sincetheengine’s”ElectronicOctane™knockcontrol“willadapttheignitiontiming,ifnecessary.
TheuseofUNLEADEDFUELONLYiscriticallyimportanttothelifeofthecatalyticconvert-ers.Depositsfromleadedfuelswillruintheconvertersandmakeitineffectiveasanemis-sioncontroldevice.
Carswithcatalyticconvertershaveasmallerfueltankopening,andgasstationpumpshavesmallernozzles.Thiswillpreventaccidentalpumpingofleadedfuelintocarswithcatalyticconverters.
