4.LeverjointrodD(blackfastening)offtheballheadwithbladeofleverB.Astheconnectionisunderspringtension,acorrespondingamountofforceisrequiredtoleverofftheballhead,creatingdangerofcrushingandpinching.
5.WhenleveringoffjointrodDontheothersideofthevehicle,theconvertible-topcompartmentcovermustbeheldsothatitdoesnotfalldowninanuncontrolledmannertoprotectagainstinjuryfromafallencover.
6.Graspconvertible-topcompartmentcoverinthecenterandsetupcompletely(arrow).
7.LeverjointrodE(whitefastening)offtheballheadwithbladeofleverB.Acorrespondingamountofforceisrequiredtoleverofftheballhead,creatingdangerofcrushingandpinching.
8.WhenleveringoffjointrodEontheothersideofthevehicle,theconvertibletopmustbeheldsothatitdoesnotfalldowninanuncontrolledmannertoprotectagainstinjuryfromafallencover.
9.Liftconvertibletopwithbothhands(arrow)andclose.
10.Lockconvertibletop.

Note
Theinsertsforlockingofthepivotlocksarenotinstalledonvehiclesdeliveredwithoutahardtop.ItisessentialtohavethenecessarypartsretrofittedbyanauthorizedPorschedealerbeforeahardtopisfittedforthefirsttime.
Fittingthehardtop
1.Opendoorsandconvertibletop.
2.Carefullyremovebothplasticcovers(arrow)outofthepivotlocks,usingascrewdriver.Storeplasticcovers.
Note
Theseplasticcoversareincludedwithvehiclesthatarefactory-equippedwithahardtop.
3.PulloffcoverAontheroll-overbar.

4.Removetheconnectoroftheconvertibletopheatedrearwindowandinsertintotherearemptysocket.
5.Removecoverfromfrontlockinglever(arrow).6.Pressredlockingbuttonofthefrontlockinglever(arrowA).Openlatchcompletely(arrowB).

6.Withonepersononeachside,graspthehardtop.Lifthardtopatrearandpulloutofthesocketsonthewindshieldframeatfront.

Evenlyliftthehardtopatbothsides.
7.Carefullyliftthehardtopupandoffthevehicletotherear.
8.Closefronthardtoplatch.Fitcoveronthefrontlatch.
9.Closepivotlocksonthevehiclewiththeplasticcovers.
10.Removetheconnectoroftheconvertibletopheatedrearwindowfromtheemptysocketandinsertintothesocket.

minorwindnoiseandseepageatjointsbetweenthetop,bodyanddoorsonconvertibletopscannotbecompletelysealedincertainareas.Thereforesmallleaksareconsiderednormalforthesemodels.Inaddition,yourconvertibletopshouldnotbewashedinacarwash.Thetopmayexperiencedamagebythebrushesormayexperienceleaksduetothehighpressurewaterstreamsdirectedinareaswhichwouldnotencounterwaterinnormaldrivingconditions.

Onlyifthereisheavydirt,wettheconvertibletopwithlukewarmwaterandthePorscheWash-Shampoo&convertible-topcleaner,usingaspongeorsoftbrush,andrubgently.RinseWash-Shampoo&convertible-topcleanerthoroughlyofftheconvertibletopwithcleanwater.
Afterwashingit,treattheconvertible-topcoveratleastonceayearwiththespecialPorscheconvertible-topcareproduct.Donotallowtheconvertible-topcareproducttocomeintocontactwithpaintorwindows.Ifitdoes,removeimmediately.
Ifthereisleakageintheconvertible-topcoveroratitsseamsorfolds,thespecialPorscheconvertible-topcareproductcanbeused.
Pleasenotetheinformationonthecontainer.
Removebirddroppingsimmediatelysincetheacidinthemwillmaketherubberswellandtheconvertibletopwillbecomeleaky.
