Theilluminationisautomaticallyadjustedtotheambientbrightnessbythelightsensorinthetachometer.
Inaddition,whenthecarlightsareswitchedon,theinstrumentandswitchsymbolbrightnesscanbemanuallyadjusted.
Warning!
Riskoflossofcontroloranaccident,resultinginpersonalinjuryordeath.

Dimminginstrumentillumination
TurnadjustmentbuttonAintheappropriatedirectionandholdituntilthedesiredbright-nesshasbeenreached.Thechosenlevelofbrightnessisindicatedbyabardisplayinthedisplayfieldoftheon-boardcomputer.

Whenthecarlightsareswitchedon,thescalelight-ingforlightdialsswitchesonandoffautomaticallydependingontheambientbrightness.

Warninglight“A”
Whentheengineisrunning,thewarninglightofthelevelgaugelightsupiflessthanapprox.2.6U.S.gallons(10liters)offuelremainsinthetankortherangeonremainingfuelfallsbelowapprox.30miles(50km).Additionally,awarningisdisplayedintheon-boardcomputer.
Fillupatthenextopportunity.
Caution!
Topreventdamagetotheemissioncontrolsystemandengine.

Thewarninglightintheinstrumentpanelcomesonwhentheignitionisfirstturnedonandremainsonbrieflyasabulbcheck.Ifthelightdoesnotcomeon,havethebulbreplacedpromptly.
Ifthewarninglightsintheinstrumentpanelandon-boardcomputercomeonandremainonwhiledriving,itsuggests:
–apotentialenginecontrolproblemandtheneedforsystemserviceor
–animproperlyfastenedtankcapor
–refuelingwithenginerunning.

Thepressureinthetireistoolowby3to6psi(0.2to0.4bar).Drivingwithinsufficienttirepressurereducestheroadsafetyofthevehicleanddestroysthetireandwheel.
Thetirepressurewarningcontainstheaffectedtirewiththetirepressuretobeadded.Correctthetirepressureatthenextopportunity.
Thistirepressurewarningappearswithvehiclestoppedandcanbeacknowledged.Thetirepressurewarninglightintheinstrumentpanelgoesoutwhenthetirepressurehasbeencorrected.
Stage2-Flattire
Thepressureinthetirehasdroppedbymorethan6psi(0.4bar).Thissignificantpressurelossisadangertoroadsafety.

Whenthetirepressurewarninghasappearedontheon-boardcomputer,stopimmediatelyatasuitablelocation.Checkthetireforsignsofdamage.Ifnecessary,fillintiresealantandsetthecorrecttirepressure.
Thistirepressurewarningappearswhendrivingandcanbeacknowledged.Thetirepressurewarninglightintheinstrumentpanelgoesoutwhenthetirepressurehasbeencorrected.
Systemlearning
TheTirePressureMonitoringbeginsto“learn”thewheelsafterawheelchange,wheeltransmitterreplacementorupdateofthetiresettings.During
thisprocess,theTirePressureMonitoringrecog-nizesthetiresandtheirlocations.Theon-boardcomputerdisplayesthemessage“TPCinactive-systemlearning”.
TheTirePressureMonitoringrequiresacertainamountoftimetolearnthewheels.Duringthistime,thecurrenttirepressuresarenotavailableontheon-board-computer:
–ThedisplayoftheTirepressurefunctionoftheon-boardcomputershowslines.
–Therequiredpressuresforcoldtiresat68°F(20°C)areindicatedintheInfopressuredisplayintheTirepressuremenu.
–Tirepressurewarningsareissuedwithouttirepressureandpositioninformation(gure)assoonasthevehicle’sownwheelshavebeendetectedandthetirepressurewarninglighthasgoneout.
PositionandpressureinformationisdisplayedassoonastheTirePressureMonitoringhasassignedthewheelsidentifiedasbelongingtothevehicletothecorrectwheelpositions.
Thewheellearningprocesstakesplaceexclusivelywhenthevehicleisbeingdriven.
Manuallycheckthetirepressureatallwheelsandcorrectthetirepressuretotherequiredvalue.
Changingawheelandreplacingtires
Newwheelsmustbefittedwithradiotransmit-tersfortheTirePressureMonitoring.Beforetiresarechanged,thebatterychargestateofthewheeltransmittersshouldbecheckedatanauthorizedPorschedealer.
Switchtheignitionoffwhenchangingawheel.
Thetiresettingsontheon-boardcomputermustbeupdatedafterchangingawheel.
Amessageappearsifthecharacteristicsofthenewtiresdonotagreewiththeon-boardcomputersettings.
Updatetheon-boardcomputersettingswhenthevehicleisstationarythenexttime.
Warninglight
Thewarninglightinthespeedometerlightsup:
–Whenalossinpressurehasbeendetected
–IftheTirePressureMonitoringisfaulty
–Whenlearningnewlymountedwheels/wheelsensors,aslongasthevehicle’sownwheelshavenotyetbeenrecognized.
Thetirepressurewarninglightintheinstrumentpanelgoesoutonlywhenthecauseofthefaulthasbeenrectified.
